We recorded it a couple different times, once in demo form with Misha Mansoor of Periphery, and once again on The Discovery. This version has a different structure than we originally planned for, but we like the way it has progressed. It's one of the more straight forward songs on the album, and the ending gives an idea of how we've stepped up the guitar work for this effort. We look forward to hearing your thoughts on it. Enjoy."

Los Angeles traditional metal act White Wizzard has announced the return of vocalist Wyatt Anderson. Affectionately known as "The Screamin' Demon," Anderson previously appeared on the band's sophomore release, "Over The Top" and has rejoined the band as the full-time front man. He replaces Peter Ellis, whose U.S. visa issues prevented him from participating in any long term recording or touring plans. Wyatt Anderson is currently recording vocals for the band's next release and will be a part of the band's 2011 world tour.
Jon Leon commented on the reunion: "I am happy to announce that vocalist Wyatt Anderson has rejoined White Wizzard. I want to first and foremost thank Peter Ellis for giving us his all during the last few months. He is a great guy and we wish him all the best. I am sure he will find a great band and he will always be a part of us.
"In the end Wyatt and I were able to find a way to make it work. It is what the fans have asked for as well. We know we had something special with Wyatt singing and myself writing, and we want to progress on that chemistry and keep moving forward. We found a way to work around some obstacles so we can pick up where we left off. Over the Top was an album we are both proud of. We are now recording the follow up due out early summer. We plan massive touring in 2011 as well. Thanks to our fans and I am proud and happy to say the screamin' demon is back."
Here is a statement from "The Screamin' Demon" himself:
"Sometimes, people have to take a step back to gain perspective of their lives. That's what I did. I didn't see myself getting what I had always wanted out of a band at the level that White Wizzard was. I didn't like being told what to do, not realizing that it was not only for the benefit of the band, but also for my benefit. Once I had stepped back, though, I began to see that I WAS getting what I had always wanted, it was just coming at a slower rate than what I had expected. Most people who dream of being in a professional band, spend their lives in pursuit of that dream, and never even come close; and I had just given it up. Fortunately, there is a silver lining to this story. White Wizzard and I have reconciled our differences, and I am proud to say that I will once again be handling the vocal duties. This is going to be an exciting time for all in the White Wizzard camp, and I look forward to seeing all of you fans out there once again."
Waylander has issued the following announcement about gearing up to enter the recording studio in July:
"Greetings all, it's been a while but hopefully this update won't disappoint. We've managed to survive the ice and snow putting our energies into the creation of the new songs, which are ticking along nicely. We have decided to entitle the new album, Kindred Spirits. It will contain 8 or 9 songs and will be recorded in Foel Studios in Wales on the first 2 weeks of July. The likes of Napalm Death, Electric Wizard and Primordial have recorded albums there so we're more than pleased with our choice. The studio is set amid stunning scenery and is owned by Dave Anderson [Hawkwind]. With several of us being big Hawkwind fans, well, you can say we're a touch on the excited side.
"Once again, Listenable will release the album, some time around November is the plan. We're talking with a few tour promoters so hopefully we'll get something booked and give you all the chance to experience us in the live arena. Again, I call for anyone who is a promoter, knows a promoter or even has a contact for a promoter to send us a message. We're determined to play in as many places and as often as we can manage with this album but as we represent ourselves, it isn't always easy.
"A touch of sad news to finish. This will be Hugh's last album with us as he's moving to London to attend music college which begins in September. He will continue to write and record with us until we enter Foel and hopefully we'll organize a farewell gig for him before he leaves for college.
"So, we need a replacement and are accepting applications now, Please no time wasters. Drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org The much delayed Honour Amongst Chaos shirts are getting closer. I will put it up here just as soon as they're ready. That's all for now, take care all."

But this is not the whole story: Not only will Disavowed (NL) headline this show but also will we be supported by Arkhan (CH) and Mastication Of Brutality Uncontrolled (DE)!
"We feel honored to have the opportunity to release our first album with such talented and well-known artists. Already now, we’re craving for this to happen! Thanks to MehSuff who will organize everything!
"In the meantime, we will do the finishing of the recordings, artwork and new merch. The Hertz studio is booked for march. They will do the mixing and mastering for us, and the artwork and merch is almost completed. So, everything is on schedule in order to be ready for the 14 May.
"We did two gigs with our drummer Lehmä since he has returned from Singapore. He did an amazing job at this two concerts, especially if you respect that he weren't able to practice on real drums for about a half a year. It feels really good to have our good friend back in the band and that we are looking forward to playing many upcoming shows together again.
"By the way, we have updated our photo gallery. You can have a look at it at here. We will add more pictures soon, for example those of our gig from yesterday. In this spirit, have a good weekend and we will see us on 14 May 2011 at i45 in Zug (don't miss that!!!)."

This is just a small taste of what is to come, we are going to have another Album for you all this summer and If you liked The Divine Equal than this is going to blow your mind.
"Metal to us is beyond sacred and we are so humbled that the metal community has taken Titans Eve in. Thank you all very much."
Available for the first time in North America as non-imports, Sabaton’s first four full-length albums will be re-issued by Nuclear Blast on April 14th, 2011. 2007’s "Metalizer (Re-Armed)," will include four bonus tracks (one live track, a demo track, and a Judas Priest cover) plus a bonus CD of the complete demo track collection for band’s first recording effort, Fist For Fight.
Sabaton bassist Pär Sundström commented on the album:
“When we recorded Metalizer, we had some songs that were written in the studio. ‘7734’ was one of them. The song is basically a hymn about the battle of metalheads which are - in the beginning - few in number and they finally become 7,734. We saw the number written on a calculator upside down which spelled ‘HELL,’ so we named it that way. Also during the recording sessions for Metalizer, we were asked to do a few cover songs. We did (amongst a few others) the cover of Judas Priest’s ‘Jawbreaker,’ which was one of the songs we felt we could do well and still keep the original touch of it. The day before we entered the studio to start recording ‘Fist For Fight,’ I remember sitting at Joakim’s place and having some beers. That evening, the song ‘Hellrider’ was written simply by chance since it was not intended to be recorded. ‘Hellrider’ then became a standing song in all the future live sets of SABATON and even today, we play it.”
The track listing for Metalizer (Re-Armed) is as follows:
5. Burn Your Crosses
7. Endless Nights
8. Hail To The King
11. Masters Of The World More...
In black metal, an album involving themes of religion is about as original as lyrics about Satanism and corpse paint. However, The Meads Of Asphodel brings an intelligent perspective to the life of Jesus Christ with “The Murder Of Jesus The Jew" (reviewed here). A title that is surrounded by music that is far from linear, incorporating everything from Broadway-style interludes to lengthy instrumentals to infectious acoustic numbers. It’s off-putting, guaranteed to offend many people, and is one of the best albums to come from the genre in years.
I recently had the pleasure of talking to frontman Metatron in late January about the amount of research involved in such a lofty concept, his views on religion, and the possibility of live shows in the future. We spoke for almost an hour and much of it is presented here. It’s lengthy, but worth the read for those that want a little more insight into not only “The Murder Of Jesus The Jew,” but the man behind its lyrical creation. Trust me though; this interview isn’t for the faint of heart or those that put their beliefs into any religious body. More...

"The puzzle is complete From Pieces Created developed the story we never knew it's out there - this journey that started years ago, when we released our 1st album. We met so many wonderful people that shared their stories with us. And now we realize that behind every door is a story and we learned that how strongly the music can connect all those together. Throughout our music we told our story. And we are completing From Pieces Created with this last piece - the video for the song 'This Time!'
"After Saved From Falling and Hide, we are proudly presenting This Time to you all! Thank you all for being our inspiration and to write the LastDayHere story with us. We are looking forward to opening new chapters."

"The patient was taken to hospital again because he did not take care of himself," Dr. Maria Bieniaszewska, assistant professor in the Department of Hematology at Uniwersyteckie Centrum Kliniczne (UCK) in Gdansk, told Polish site Fakt.pl.
It is not known whether the infection will affect the adoption of a bone marrow transplant. This procedure took place in late December and it's unclear how long Nergal will now have to stay in hospital. In his condition, when the immune system is weakened, such infections may even threaten life.

Nightfall has announced it will be supporting Cradle of Filth live on April 8th at the Fuzz Club in Athens. Member Efthimis Karadimas has commented on the upcoming performance:
"It's been a long time since our last show. It is a great chance to perform our latest release Astron Black & the Thirty Tyrants (Metal Blade records) live from start to end. It’s gonna be like a concept appearance in the spirit of ancient Greek tragedy play. I am glad that the promoters accepted it without pushing for more time on stage. At this moment it is important to present this very album without any references to the older stuff and it would be impossible to do if we had to play alone. After all, Astron Black & the Thirty Tyrants is the reason why Nightfall are here right now."
Additional details on the show can be found here.
After a handful of self-released EP’s and a couple of East Coast tours, Lancaster PA's March to Victory is preparing for the release of their Born of Chaos Records debut. Nightwish keyboardist/songwriter Tuomas Holopainen has posted the following update online:
"In the excitement of Yuletide magic I wrote there would be secrets revealed at the end of January. There are big things happening within and around the Nightwish camp but the Big Boys and Bosses just sent me an ultimatum to keep my mouth shut for a couple more months, or I would wake up with a horse's head in my bed.
"I truly am very sorry about needing to keep future plans and sights still in secrecy. The purpose is not to annoy anybody or cause a carefully planned hype over the matter. Due to the changes in the schedule, things will be revealed later during the spring. The recordings continue.
"I'm off to E-Major Studios next weekend to put together all the files for the orchestral and choir sessions in London. I'm in daily contact with Mr. Pip Williams, going over the arrangements and new ideas for the songs. The demos he has sent me sound simply otherworldly! Beautiful, twisted, tribal and cinematic stuff. And with a theme album coming up, the mood changes seem to be more present than ever before.
"Yup, it still is the Burton-Gaiman-Dali — amusement park we are about to enter. More coming up once the mobsters grant me permission."

Swiss hard rock veterans Gotthard have announced that they plan on continuing the band, following the tragic death of Steve Lee. A statement posted online states:
"After the tragic accident of our friend and singer Steve Lee, who died October, 5 2010 in the USA, we withdrew ourselves until after the new year and took a break. Now we are back again with plans for the future and a difficult task to fulfill. After the very emotional days after Steve's death, it was important for us to first of all try and cope with the pain, give it a place to rest and find ourselves again. And so we sat down in the new year and tried to look at the new situation 'soberly.' It was obvious to all of us very quickly that we had to go on — Gotthard is not a job for us, Gotthard IS OUR LIFE!!
"Of course it can only go on if we are lucky to find the right guy. We're not only searching for a voice which can bring our songs alive again…. we are looking much more for a singer who also humanly fits with us — with the Gotthard family! For all of us it's a big challenge and it will not be easy at all. But we have good faith and we do what we do best — make music!
"A big thank you to all the fans. Your concern, cards, e-mails and entries in the guestbook have given us the supporting power to deal with what has happened better and to gather new courage for the future."
