Colorado Springs-based power metallers BATTLE CRY report that Harry "The Tyrant" Conklin from the legendary JAG PANZER will lend his voice for some backing parts and possibly lead on a bonus track for their upcoming self-titled debut EP. Other notable guest musicians set to appear on the recording are Matt Aub, vocalist from Virginia-based TIMELORD and formerly with Limb Music Products recording artists FORGOTTEN REALM, and Mike Pittman from Colorado Springs' DISTANT WARNING, who also has done some fill-in live work with the U.K.-based SHADOWKEEP. The EP is currently being recorded at Enharmonic Studios in Colorado Springs and is slated for a summer release on the band's own Nightfall Records label.

Starting February 10th in Waco, TX, Zero-Sum labelmates Jacknife and Dryline team up for a regional tour. Jacknife is out supporting their CD, Moment of Reckoning and Dryline is out previewing music from their upcoming Zero-Sum debut Reach For the Surface. There are two Dryline tracks from their forthcoming release available for preview or download through their Myspace page. The CD will be released March 7, 2006.

New Bonus Tracks:
SAATTUE, the Finnish band featuring former and current members of such underground acts as YEARNING, LET ME DREAM, ULTRAMAYHEM ORGANISATION and BRAINDRAIN, have completed work on a new three-song promotional CD containing the cuts "Luutarhuri", "Ikiuneen" and "Kaaosmaa".
SAATTUE have undergone several lineup changes since the release of their last EP, "Kivisydän", but musically the band "keep on producing the same doomy metal with Finnish lyrics as earlier," according to a press release. A full-length MP3 of the song "Luutarhuri" can be downloaded here.
SAATTUE played their first show outside Finland on January 28 at the Rock Cafe in Tallinn, Estonia.
Since By Man need to postpone their planned European tour. After the split up of Bear vs. Shark no proper replacement could be found for this tour. Therefore the band decided to hit the European shores sometime later this year.
The breakup of Bear vs Shark came only six months after the release of their new album, "Terrorhawk," and in the midst of making tour plans.
No Fear clothing has launched No Fear Bands, a web site dedicated to "some of today's best metal bands" who are being clothed by No Fear, including BLOODSIMPLE, GODSMACK, SEVENDUST, HATEBREED, MASTODON and DISTURBED.
Switzerland's Cataract have entered the studio to begin recording a new full-length. The group is currently at Antfarm Studios in Denmark with producer Tue Madsen tracking the effort, which will consist of eleven new songs. Look for the album to hit streets this spring through Metal Blade Records.
As previously reported, Cataract were recently confirmed bands for this year's Metalliga Open Air festival, set to take place June 16-17 in Dornbirn – Lustenau, Austria.
