SOUTH ST. PAUL, Minn. - A high-profile white supremacist record company appears to have gone out of business after one co-owner accused the other of having a Hispanic mother.
Panzerfaust was behind Project Schoolyard USA, which last year distributed thousands of free compact discs to teenagers across the country, particularly in Minnesota. The company is now appears dormant, with its Web address directing views to another white power site called "Free Your Mind." No working telephone number for the Panzerfaust could be found Friday.
The Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups, reports that co-owners Byron Calvert, 33, and Anthony A. Pierpont, 38, had a falling out after Calvert saw a copy of Pierpont's birth certificate. The document, which is posted on the center's Web site, indicates that Pierpont's mother was named Maria Marcola del Prado and she was born in Mexico. Also, Calvert claimed in an online posting that Pierpont had sex with Thai prostitutes.
As a result, and Pierpont's refusal to take a DNA test, Calvert wrote last month that he would quit the company and so would its webmaster. The center reports that influential hate groups Hammerskin Nation and Volksfront also denounced Pierpont. The Free Your Mind site said that any business done with Pierpont should be considered "an act of treason".
The following message has been posted on the official Void of Silence website:
After 11 years since we started this adventure, after 6 years since the band started its official activities and after three album released together as Void of Silence, we decided to put an end to this band.
We took this decision with sadness and bitterness, also we must admit we yet reached our initial goal.
We would like to thank our worlwide fans, those who always trusted us and those who supported us along the way.
A special thank you to Fabban and Alan Nemtheanga, who gave us the possibility to release such incredible albums and to the whole code666 staff, always supportive towards our music.
A great hail also to our old friends Andrea Toro, Alessandro Bianchi, Riccardo Tran and Fabio Restano, who were beside us in the beginning.
We are not leaving the musical scene, just we will wear different dresses and walk different ways, together as usual. Maybe one day things will run in a different way, who knows...
Bye and thanx to all.
- Riccardo Conforti and Ivan Zara.
A new song from the forthcoming Stratovarius album has been suspended by the band’s own record label, Sanctuary Music German Division. The opening intro of that song was supposed to start with the speech of Hitler. According to Timo Tolkki who points out the song is completely anti-Hitler and therefore appeals to the freedom of the art. Tolkki adds that he has always been interested in Hitler and what made Hitler become such a monster, the song is as anti-facist as possible. The lyrics of the song has been sent to the censorship department of the Ministry of the Interior Of Germany, which will make a decision about the legality of the song.
After Forever have posted the following update at the band's official website:
We bring sad tidings. Our friend and drummer Andre has been admitted to hospital. The doctors have found cancer and surgically removed a tumor. The medical staff is satisfied about the result of the surgery.
In consultation with Andre and his friend Cris, we decided to continue our show in The Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam on February 11. Ed Warby (Ayreon) will replace Andre for this occasion, but Andre will be more present than ever on this evening.
If you want to support Andre in this difficult period in his life you can send a card or letter to: Andre Borgman, Tromsöldreef 50, 3076 DL Rotterdam, The Netherlands
We count on you and expect a load of reactions and consolation for Andre. Via the site we will keep you informed.
Hatesphere has been confirmed as the main support for Morbid Angel (feat David Vincent!) on their Masters of Chaos Europe Tour.

Rhapsody have posted the following eyebrow-raising update at their official website:
When the Italian epic metal band Rhapsody first met the legendary actor Christopher Lee in December 2003 during the recording of their current album, "Symphony Of Enchanted Lands II – The Dark Secret," no one really knew what could come of this collaboration.
It was only after Lee himself, being a talented singer possessing a rich bass/baritone voice, expressed his 'concerns' that he was about to narrate for the album in a role of a wizard king and not sing at all, laid the ground for what was to come next:
The release of the album was critically acclaimed by both fans and media and achieving fantastic chart positions throughout the world – the parties decided to meet again in December 2004 to re-record the album track "The Magic Of The Wizard’s Dream," this time as a duet that would feature the rich and expressive singing voice of none other than Mr. Lee with the band Rhapsody.
In many reviews of the album, media and fans had already chosen the song as one of the best ever by the band. This time, producer Joey DeMaio (Manowar) was chosen by the band and Mr. Lee to produce the recording with the help of a Cologne string orchestra and some other guest musicians.More...
Dark Tranquillity has posted the following update on their official website:
The tour is going really well - thanks to everyone that has showed up so far! One important thing: People planning to attend the upcoming shows should be aware that the bands begin to play relatively early (sometimes earlier than what's officially announced by the venues). In other words, if you arrive late, you risk missing parts of the action.
Other good news - the gig in Gothenburg on the 3rd of March has been moved from Musikens hus to the bigger & better venue Kåren.
More chart updates: "Character" reached #17 at the Japanese rock charts, and it's still going strong in the national Swedish chart for the 3rd week in a row.
Fansite updates: The Italian site Darkillity has moved to
www.darkillity.net. A new Russian fanpage is up at www.dark.h14.ru.
That's all for now. Greetings from a sunny Montpellier, France!

Sinergy, the acclaimed Finnish metal band featuring singer Kimberly Goss and Children of Bodom members Alexi Laiho (guitar) and Roope Latvala (guitar), have spent the past few months quietly recording their fourth full-length album, tentatively due in late 2005.
As Goss announced on the internet:
Sinergy does indeed still exist, though the absence of our website and having only played two gigs in the past six months may lead people to believe otherwise.
Our fourth album will be called "Sins of the Past". We started recording drums and bass in June of last year at Finnvox Studios, and have continued recording the rest of it at Beyond Abilities Studios (the studio of Janne Wirman from Children of Bodom). However, we've had to record the album in separate sections due to Children of Bodom's busy touring schedule last year. We've sometimes had to take several months off in between recording.
Alexi just got his cast off cast week [after suffering a broken arm in a fall in December], but still needs to wear a brace for another few weeks. He's able to play guitar now, but we're gonna wait until he's 100 percent recovered before he finishes his leads on the album. In the meantime, myself and Roope have been busy recording our parts. The album will then be mixed and mastered at Finnvox then the recording is finished.
All I can say is that we are hopeful that the album will be released sometime this year. We'll have a new website up once the artwork for the new album is finished.
Anthrax bearded guitarist Scott Ian postet the following on the band's official website:

Germany's Such a Surge are the latest band confirmed for the 2005 edition of the Summer Breeze festival, set to be held August 18-20 in Abtsgmünd, Germany. The complete list of artists currently confirmed to appear at the festival can be found here.
Such a Surge have just issued a new five-song EP, "Mission erfüllt", as a teaser for their upcoming album, "Alpha", due in stores April 4 via Nuclear Blast Records. In addition to a couple of different versions of the title cut, the EP includes two exclusive songs ('Powersurge' and 'Einfach sein') and a video for 'Mission erfüllt', which can also be viewed online at this location.
Trivium shot the video for their current single "Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr" on 1/30/05 with acclaimed video director, Dale Resteghini (Fear Factory, Hatebreed). Photos from the shoot can be seen here.
Rough cuts of the video have circulated through the Roadrunner offices, getting great reviews. The video looks absolutely killer and is in the vein of classic, old performance-oriented videos with a really modern flair. The video should be released soon.
A live photo gallery from a recent show on the Dillinger Escape Plan tour has been added. Check it out here.
Trivium's Ascendancy is set to hit stores on 3/15/05, and they will be touring extensively, first with Danzig and Kataklysm, and then on the Road Rage tour.

Motorhead's legendary frontman, Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister, reports he's working on a solo album titled "Lemmy & Friends," featuring collaborations with members of Metallica, Dave Grohl, Reverend Horton Heat and the Damned. "I've got seven tracks already done," declares Lemmy.
The veteran heavy metal rocker will pause long enough to find out Sunday night whether Motorhead has won the Grammy for best metal performance for "Whiplash," a Metallica tune they covered on the album "Metallic Attack: A Tribute to Metallica."
For his upcoming "Lemmy & Friends" album, Lemmy says he'd also like "to get Jeff Beck, and I want to get Janet Jackson to do this great lost single called 'Black Cat."'
Motorhead is celebrating its 30th year in the business, and the group plans to head out on a stateside tour March 15. Lemmy says he's still loving being on the road after three decades - "I spend more time there than I do in my apartment."
But the outspoken Brit declares that the heightened security at concert venues is "killing rock 'n' roll. I can't believe all this running everything like a %$*%& military operation! It's no fun. You have to have 18 different-color passes ... you can go here but not go there. I say just let everybody in, and if we don't like them, we'll throw them out! It's insane."
The venue for the group's Los Angeles appearance hasn't been firmed up yet, but he says, "It looks like the Universal Amphitheatre, though I'd rather play the House of Blues if we can get it. They have great sound in there, whereas Universal doesn't, and I hate the staff there, too. ... Wow, there's a bunch of security-minded $%*# goons. There's no smoking, you can't take a drink in there. Is this a rock 'n' roll show or a $%&* Boy Scout picnic?"
The following excerpts were from an article on The Phoenix on Finnish band HIM gaining popularity and status in U.S.:
In today's rock music environment, it is rare to find a band that so unabashedly and honestly writes about love. Finland's HIM is the exception to that rule. The band's self-processed genre is "Love Metal," and has no quips about that generalization. The group's melancholic "gothic metal" music is served alongside lead singer Ville Valo's need to express what lies deep in his heart.
In Europe, HIM already has established itself as a powerful force in music, with number-one hits in virtually every country. However, it is only recently, with the help of MTV's Bam Margera, that HIM is gaining popularity in the United States. Margera has adopted the Heartagram, the band's symbol that looks like a pentagram with two points of the star rounded into a heart, which symbolizes the good and bad of love. Margera has plastered it on everything from T-shirts to skateboards. Virtually every episode of Margera's TV show, "Viva La Bam," has something HIM-related in it. From the giant Heartagram sitting in Margera's dining room to the tattoos he sports, HIM is everywhere.

Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars has been slapped with a $10 million palimony lawsuit from an ex-girlfriend who claims he reneged on a promise to take care of her for life. According to the lawsuit filed in a Los Angeles court on Tuesday, the woman, Robbie Mantooth, claims she met Mars in 1990 and the two became lovers. She alleges she gave up her career as a documentary filmmaker and moved into the heavy metal guitarist's Malibu, Calif., home with him. Mantooth says Mars promised her repeatedly that he would always provide for her financially and that the couple had agreed to divide all their property if they split up. Their relationship ended in December and Mantooth says Mars denied there was any oral agreement between them and had given her no financial support. Mantooth is asking a judge to award her half of the rocker's property as well as monthly support and damages.
