Delain proudly announces the first guest vocalist for upcoming album "The Human Contradiction" will be Alissa White-Gluz. The band comments:
"We are really excited about Alissa’s addition to our new record! Alissa needs no introduction: we love her great, versatile and powerful vocal style and after spending time on the road with Alissa on our tour with Kamelot last fall, we simply needed her awesomeness Both Alissa’s clean vocals and signature screams are featured on the record’s finale 'The Tragedy Of The Commons.' We can’t wait to share the song with you!"
Alissa states: "After a couple days of touring with Delain, I HAD to go buy a CD or two. This band blew me away with their intelligent songs, energetic yet extremely precise live show and overall charisma. Sure enough, after buying an album at their merch table and listening to it on repeat while working out, my suspicions were confirmed: DELAIN IS AN AWESOME BAND! I'm very flattered and honored to participate in their upcoming album. I see Delain going very far, I wish them nothing but success and I'm glad to contribute my share!”
The album is set for release on April 8th, 2014 via Napalm Records. More...
As A389 Recordings prepares for the official remastered reissue of "The Buzz Or Howl Sessions" -- the out-of-print 2009 released recordings from Portland, Oregon's The Bellicose Minds -- today the record hits online airwaves.
Sink into the melodic infectiousness of "The Buzz Or Howl Sessions" below, courtesy of Noisey.Vice.com. The following press release was also issued about the band:
"The Bellicose Minds likes to keep the music dark, and sinister, always throwing cynical thought to the foreground, flowing with a dark, early-'80s Gothic rock edge. Having exposed the rock underworld to an array of independent releases since their incarnation in 2008, The Buzz Or Howl Sessions is considered to be some of Bellicose Minds' core, seminal material by their devout, underworld fanbase.
"Self-citing influences from The Chameleons, The Sound, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and Danse Society, and of course the rain the Northwest continually brings, the energy and purposefully dated tone of the album bears familial roots to TSOL, Agent Orange and some of the darker West Coast punk/hardcore acts of the mid-late '80s, and finds them on a regenerative plateau with contemporary acts like Beastmilk and Alaric.
"Initially self-released only as a five hundred-copy run on dubbed cassettes, A389 Recordings will officially re-release the long out-of-print The Buzz Or Howl Sessions for the first time ever on vinyl on February 7th, in both black and clear color schemes. The initial masters of the record have been completely remastered at Audiosiege, and the artwork and layout feature a full redesign.
"The Bellicose Minds has a plethora of new material written and a next full-length -- the follow-up to 2013's The Spine LP -- is in the works and will see release through A389 later in 2014. Having toured and performed at key underground punk festivals in North America in the past, new live actions for the band will be choreographed with the release of their new album. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming months." More...
Milwaukee's morose hardcore/punk outfit Enabler and Philly's activism-driven hardcore d-beaters Cop Problem have both been added to the opening night of this year's installment of the New England Metal & Hardcore Festival, with a regional run of live dates being locked down flanking the gathering.
Just in time for the Spring thaw, these two infectious and aggravated acts will tackle a run of East Coast tour dates together surrounding their sets kicking off NEMHF 2014 on Thursday, April 17th, where Enabler and Cop Problem will join that day's lineup already including All That Remains, Bleeding Through, Broken Hope, Emmure, Fallujah, Gideon, Kublai Khan, Obey The Brave, Rivers of Nihil and Years Since The Storm, with more still to be announced.
The full routing will be announced in the coming days, joined by an even more extensive tour itinerary for Enabler.
While the the two bands have randomly shared the stage previously, this upcoming tour is the first official excursion Enabler and Cop Problem will embark on together, as the band's ties have been further tightened under the banner of Earsplit's new label sect, The Compound. The emancipation of Enabler's "Flies" EP on Samhain 2013 marked the introductory title from The Compound, and now one of the label's next releases will be the 7" vinyl version of Cop Problem's "Buried Beneath White Noise" EP in March.

"We recorded, mixed and mastered this album by ourselves, and it was a great pleasure! This crowdfunding campaign's only purpose to assure a strictly limited physical edition, for the last lovers of good old CD's!
"The album aims to be a tribute to the 90's Metal scene in its entirety, a time where risk-taking and avant-gardism frightened nobody. This new record is strongly colored with a Scandinavian black metal touch like ULVER ( old ) / MÖRK GRYNING and by progressive death metal like CYNIC or DEATH." More...
