Hour Of 13 posted the following announcement to its Facebook wall, confirming that the band would be calling it a day. The band will play its February date at the Martyrdoom Fest in NYC, but will postpone the April European tour which had headline slots at Roadburn and Doom Shall Rise festivals. Multi-instrumentalist Chad Davis of the Connecticut/North Carolina act had the following to say:
It is with heavy heart that I must announce that Hour of 13 is on an indefinite hiatus. The one remaining show at Martyrdoom Fest 2013 in New York City will go on as planned, but after that no shows no interviews and no records. The massive lack of support for this band weighs heavily. Fan support is unmatched, but all other aspects support wise is a huge factor in this decision. We cannot be expected to give all and receive nothing in return. I thank it everyone of you for your message support you have shown throughout the years and hopefully this matter will be resolved and we will return, but at this point after June we are no more.
Regards to all,

Swiss old school tharsh metallers 2Black have signed a deal with Wormholedeath/Aural Music Group. Wormholedeath will release debut album “Mind Infect” worldwide through Aural Music Group.
The album was recorded and mixed at Mathlab Recording Studio (Italy) with producer Jonathan Mazzeo (Mechanical God Creation, The Way Of Purity), and mastered by Christian Donaldson of Cryptopsy. The release is due later this year. Check out a preview clip in the player below. The band also commented:
“2Black is very proud to announce the worldwide deal with Wormholdeath Records Italy!!
A dream come true! After a lot of gigging and searching for a good company, finally 2Black found the correct partner in crime to go on! After the band’s release of the self produced EP 'No time to die' in 2010 the appetite grow for a lot more! The cooperation with Wormholedeath and Mathlab Studio stilled the hunger for a moment. 2Black serve with the new album 'Mind Infect' (to be released in spring 2013 worldwide) a varied menu from melodic mid- to brute uptempo old school thrashmetal songs! Now the band is ready to take over!"
Wormholedeath also commented: “I know that signing old school thrash bands has become quite a big trend between the labels, but I can assure that we haven’t signed 2Black for the trend…We really liked their 'in your face' attitude and being myself a big fan of the 80's thrash scene I wanted to start producing a little group of releases that are related to the old thrash tradition. 2Black's 'Mind infect' is the first of these really cool releases as their album sounds just like a group of pirates assaulting a ship, just give them a try, they will force you to headbang so hard that you’ll have to go to the hospital." After announcing a series of guest musicians to appear on the album, Avantasia has now unveiled the cover artwork for new release "The Mystery of Time."
Check out the artwork below, created by British fantasy artist Rodney Matthews. Tobias Sammet of Avantasia comments:
“It is a great honour for me to have Rodney create the artwork of ‘The Mystery Of Time.‘ Since the new album is a conceptual album and its story has a magical and enchanting atmosphere, there was no other painter I could think of to create the artwork. I've had several creative conversations with Rodney during the process and I had the feeling that the concept was inspiring to him right from the start.
"I put a lot of energy into producing a very detailed and fascinating album, and Rodney had that same enthusiasm to create an artwork just as detailed and fascinating. This is a new chapter in Avantasia's history and I think it didn't deserve less than a magical painting by my favorite painter and childhood hero: The one and only Rodney Matthews!" More...

A listing of tour dates are available below, and Nuclear Blat Records also comments on the bands:
"Swedes Witchcraft were one of the first bands who started to recreate the sound of old heroes like Pentagram around 2000 and who only had one goal in mind: to revive the 70s sound with landmark releases such as 'Firewood.' They returned with 'Legend' in 2012 and proved their status as leaders of a whole subgenre once more!
"Orchid from San Francisco are more of a recent phenomenon: the four piece made quite a bunch of heads turn with their debut EP 'Through the Devil's Doorway' in 2009 before they firmly established themselves as the rightful heirs to Black Sabbath's throne with their album 'Capricorn' in 2011. Their second full-length release will be upon us early 2013."
