"So it seems that by releasing the 'Live In Whitby' cassette & 'pay-what-you-want' download, we got the ball rolling on the completion of the video footage that was filmed that night by the promoter and his film crew.
"Awhile back I got an e-mail from the promoter of the Whitby show telling me that he had finished footage and was putting some DVDs together. Flash forward a few weeks later and a small box of DVDs showed up. So we're making these available to you guys.
"The DVD includes interviews, as well as full sets from every band that played that night; Fuck The Facts,Heaps Of Dead, The Unborn Dead & F.A.T.O. I've posted a small clip of us playing 'Everyone Is Robbing The Dead' from the DVD below. If you want to order the DVD, go here. We have a very limited amount of these, so don't wait too long if you want one. ..and as always you can still download the 'Live In Whitby' recording for free (or pay what you want) here.

Saxon has issued the following announcement about confirming the first support band for upcoming European tour dates:
"Hey guys, we are happy to announce our first confirmed support band for our tour through continental Europe: Vanderbuyst. The trio Vanderbuyst was formed in 2008 by super-guitar hero Willem Verbuyst who you might know from his cult- NWOBHM band Powervice.
"Together with drummer Van Esbroek and bassplayer/vocalist Jochem Jonkman, Verbuyst will take you back to the days of Thin Lizzy, UFO, old Iron Maiden and of course Dutch classics like Van Halen and Vandenberg. Energetic old school hard rock with some NWOBHM influences plus a rough edge but catchy as f•ck.
"Vanderbuyst released their debut already in Benelux & GAS oct 15th 2010 and will be followed by releases in the rest of Europe by march 2011. Check them out at this location and enjoy the music."

Drawn and Quartered has checked in with the following update about the band's upcoming activity:
"The principal recording for the album has been completed! Aside from a few additions or last minute tweaks, we will schedule time to start the mixing process. And for those of you that really want to know, we've already begun the writing process for the next record. This time we're streamlining the writing process with more per-production and fine tuning before commiting to 'tape'. I'm thinking we get a little bit more brutal as well, and strive to get good fun songs as we always try to do.
"Next up we have some shows scheduled for 2011, namely the Feb 19th show at the Funhouse in Seattle with Scorched Earth and Inquisition. Embryonic Devourment is heading to town in March, so I'll announce that and any future shows as they become official.
"Finally, we're still waiting for the 'evil death metal' 7" series from RELAPSE RECORDS. I've seen all the artwork and layouts, and it is really cool, and very old school. There are a series of split 7" records, culminating into a compilation CD and a T-Shirt, as well most likely. Our song 'Conqerors of Sodom', was recorded last year. I'd like to see it out someday, as it would be the only D&Q on a 7", to date."
Eclipse Eternal has issued the following update about finishing the recording for new material:
"Hails, first of all, apologies for the present emptiness and disorganization of our page; MySpace.com has apparently redone not only the layout, but the back end (where you do your coding), which means everybody’s formats are now completely fucked up. Great job. Anyway, we’ll get that sorted out as soon as we can. In the meantime you can still listen to tracks here, or else visit our FaceBook page, where you can both stream and download songs.
"In other news, we’ve finally finished recording. Voldamares, Wulfgar, and Orcus completed the clean vocals the other day, which was the very last thing. It seems to have taken forever, but we’re satisfied with everything and will soon enter the mixing phase. As of now, Glen is doing some preliminary editing, and then in the New Year we will get down to actually mixing everything.
"On a completely unrelated note, this year’s Winter Solstice (December 21) coincides with a total lunar eclipse. For those of us in North America, it apparently begins either very early in the morning or very late on the 20th, but either way it should be worth watching."
Tis’ the season, it’s that time of year again. This week we take a look and see what our aging rockers are hoping for under the Christmas tree… More...

"Zoo Human Syndrome" comes off the band's recently released Candlelight debut "Ominous." You can check out the song here.
Said Samoth of the track: "'Zoo Human Syndrome' is the last song on the album, and it's one of my favorites actually. It's quite melodic and atmospheric with a more epic feel. This one definitely has some black metal influences and I feel at this point that we'll be working more within this territory for newer material. Conceptually, it deals with nature deficit disorder. Basically, it's the soundtrack to zoo-like humans trapped in the digital chaos of the modern world. In today's society we are stuck in small boxes, be it offices, shopping malls, etc. where we get hit by insane amounts of flickering lights of all kinds of so called 'important' information. We are removed from nature."

Drums are finished and we have started on guitar tracks. I’m excited for people to hear this new stuff, its not going to alienate old fans by any means but I think it might attract some new ones. It’s definitely a step up from what we've done, and this time around we've increased the evil ten fold. The lyrics on this record are a little darker including lots of occult themes as well as real life shit that is stranger than fiction could ever be.".
London's Voodoo Six has issued the following recap of the band's "Fluke?" U.K. tour dates:

DAATH recently completed a North America run with Chimaira and Impending Doom. The band will be heading on another European tour soon with Fear Factory. A fan filmed video capturing the impressive Kevin Talley drum solo and the band's performance of the new track, “Double Tap Suicide,” can be seen here.
Levi comments, “DAATH is in Europe for the second time this year. We’ve been so busy making records that we haven’t been able to tour much; but what we’ve done so far counts like a motherfucker: Slayer and Festival dates this summer, Fear Factory/High on Fire tour this winter. The best part for us is that we didn’t just fly over here to start a tour cold. We kicked ass across the Northeast with Chimaira, Impending Doom and This or The Apocalypse this past November. It was some of the best fun we’ve had on any tour ever. On top of the fact that Chimaira is an extremely cool band to tour with, this was a very big one for us on multiple levels. As a band we are the most gelled live that we have ever been. We’re tighter than ever and goddamn; Kevin’s drum solo is badass. Whoever saw us on that leg got the chance to see the production we’ve added to the show as well. We’re always adding to it. As if blinding you guys wasn’t enough, let me just say that we’re going beyond just the lights."
“I’m writing to you guys from my Hotel Room in Luxemburg, exhausted. We finished the Chimaira run, drove to the airport, hopped on a plane to Europe and immediately met up with Fear Factory & High on Fire. It was a hell of a lot of traveling and of course with all that comes a lot of bullshit these days. Though as soon as we hopped up on stage and started playing it was all forgotten and the bullshit just melted away. The show was killer, the bands are killer, we’re just stoked to be bringing it to Europe yet again! Look for more updates on some upcoming tour videos we’ll be doing. I hope you are all doing well and I will check back in with you soon.” More...
Blkheart Group has announced the signing of Molotov Solution from Las Vegas, Nevada. Label manager Jason Mageau comments, "We have been working with the band secretly for some time now, we helped them with the Suicide Silence "Time To Bleed" headline tour, as we were strictly friends and fans of the band at that point. After further conversation we came to an agreement to take the band to the next level and start working on a new album."
When guitarist and founding member Robbie Pina was asked what the future holds for Molotov Solution, he replied, "In addition to a few new members added to the mix, we as a band are much more conscience on what it is we want to do. Of course this means a new album which is something you all have been asking for, and something we have been putting a lot of work into so you can definitely expect that by summer accompanied by a nonstop touring cycle!"
The writing process has already begun for their new album and is expected to be released by summer 2011. Robbie comments on the signing. "Signing with Blkheart Group is literally the best decision I think we ever made for this bands future. The feeling of more control over what we want and them being so flexible and understanding to what their bands needs are, its exactly what a band at our size needs in order to grow!" More...

We feel fortunate to see some familiar faces, as well as making new friends in each city we play. It means the world to us that after all these years, through thick and thin - it was always you guys that kept us going."
“We chose to release the song 'Resist' first because we feel it incapsulates the essence of the new album as a whole and is prime example of where we come from, where we are now and where we're going. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and look for us on tour throughout 2011. See you all soon.” More...
