While they are busy creating they are also in search of just the right singer to bring a new edge to their music.
"As you know Celesty brings power and fantasy to the world of metal and Celesty is soon ready to audition singers for their newest project. There's no way we could have sold that many CDs in such a short time so I think our decision to go free online was a good one. Thanks to everyone! Knowing most people taking the time to download also probably had the right mind frame to appreciate us, your comments are welcomed! No seasons wishes or happy this/that...this stuff gets overrated!"

Archaic Eclipse has issued the following announcement about finishing their new demo:
"After a year of software problems, recording mishaps, writing difficulties and losing band members we have finally finished and released 'They Came With The Fog.' Unfortunately by the time it was done most members had left due to either personal problems, lack of devotion or injuries. Our old drummer Jon came and did finish the drums for us but unfortunately he had a previous shoulder injury and drumming only made it worse. So much to the dismay of Jon and the rest of us it was decided that being in this band would only further his injury so the best decision for him was to leave the band. You can hear his drums on both demo’s 'In Fields of Morning Frost' and 'They Came With The Fog.' We wish Jon a full recovery and the best of luck in all his future endeavors whatever they may be. So we will be searching for BAND MEMBERS in the months to come.
"Also, a big thanks has to go to Ehren from the band Excrecor. When our recording equipment failed and we didn’t know what we were going to do, Ehren selflessly offered to record us and spent countless hours mixing and perfecting our demo and didn’t stop till he was 100% satisfied with the final product. He did and excellent job and made recording extremely easy and pleasant for us. We will be recording all of our future work with him without a shadow of a doubt. So do us a favor and check out his band at this location they are amazing melodic death metal band and good friends of ours! More...

"The song described: The album opener 'Enter a Life' is a catchy and energetic uptempo song that was immediately planned to kick start the album with full blaze. The song starts with a short drum intro and kicks in with a highly melodic theme. The song is pretty simple in its structure, but has extremely nice vocal melodies and catchy guitar shredding in the solo part. More...

We will head back to 301 with Jeff Martin at the start of Febuary to track vocals and add the final touches to the mix. The sound has to be the best we have produced to date, so at the moment we are feeling quite proud of this one. We have no plans for the release date at this stage as we would like to take our time and shop this album around, but expect to be hearing it in 2010. So make sure you check back in on the studio blog the first week of Febuary, until then happy new year to you all, we hope you will join us for a great 2010!"

Virginia tech melodic death metal band ARSIS has just uploaded another brand new song to their MySpace profile. The song, "Forced To Rock," comes off the bands new album, entitled "Starve For The Devil," which is due on February 5, 2010 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Mainman James Malone comments, "'How can I better the world?' This is the question that I asked myself when writing 'Forced to rock.' I eventually came to the conclusion that the death metal world needed an anthem. Sure, it may not be the cure for cancer, but it is fun and fun is something that I feel is lacking in a lot of the music out there today. It's music, it's not saving lives; there is no reason to be serious 100% of the time. Tongue in cheek or foot in mouth; I am probably not the proper authority to comment on the matter."
Finnish gothic metal band Morian has issued the following update on the progress of their new album:
"First of all, apologies for the lack of updates; big things have happened this year and we have decided not to give out any news until certain things have reached their closure."
"Well, that moment has come now, so sit back and read what's going on in the world of Morian. Quoting Mark Twain: 'The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.' But to the point."
"Ashen Empire is now completely recorded and mixed, and it's waiting to be mastered! The album is produced and engineered by Aksu Hanttu, best known as the drummer of Finnish gothic metal pioneers Entwine. Mr. Hanttu is gracing the new Morian album with bolder, bigger and grittier sounds then ever; his previous producing efforts include Poisonblack and Korpiklaani, among many others." More...
