Steel Panther Posts Guitar Instructional Video

Guitar World has posted a video clip of Satchel from Steel Panther showing how to play a guitar segment from the song "17 Girls in a Row," which can be viewed below. The track is taken off the new Steel Panther album "Balls Out" (reviewed here). Guitar World also commented on the clip:

It's a portion of his solo from '17 Girls in a Row,' off the album 'Balls Out,' and features a glitzy raked bend followed by some descending tapped pull-offs and hammer-ons, which cascade down a modified pentatonic scale."

Opprobrium Posts "Massacre Of The Unborn"

Opprobrium has posted an alternate version of the "Massacre of the Unborn" track online, which is available below. The band also commented:

"Hello friends, here's a different version of the song 'Massacre Of The Unborn' which was recorded during the 'Discerning Forces' album sessions in Brazil exclusively for the 'Death...is just the beginning' Vol. VI compilation series on Nuclear Blast Records and supposedly a Japanese bonus track for the 'D.F.' album (done by request of Markus Staiger, owner of Nuclear Blast as he also visited the studio during production, so we decided to record "Massacre Of The Unborn").

"Like the 'Discerning Forces' album, this track was also produced by the legendary German producer/engineer Harris Johns (Kreator, Sodom, Voivod, Whiplash, etc.). Not a whole lot of people knows about this version, so we decided to post it here for you guys, enjoy it!" More...
