Chilean thrash metal band Nuclear has posted the official music video for "Breathing Despair," which was filmed when they performed at the "Pulsar Expo 2012." The track comes off their latest album "Apatrida," released on June 25th via Sick Bangers Distro & Label (Chile) and distributed by Digmetalworld Records in the US. Watch the video below.
Nuclear's newest album "Apatrida" was produced by Sebastian Puente and Francisco Haussmann at Audio Custom Studios in Santiago, Chile. The art work was done by Claudio Botarro, who was in charge of translating the band’s idea of a controversial and direct message about the current Chilean political status.
Dutch grindcore fiends Stoma recently returned with their full-length album "The Glorification of Sexual Depravation" in CD form on Sevared Records. The metal queen Doro Pesch has kept busy this year, releasing an EP, a compilation, and the new full-length album "Raise Your Fist," which is an old school look at anthemic, fist-pumping metal meant to keep the energy running high.
Doro is gearing up to rock the sea-bound metal legions on the 70,000 Tons of Metal Cruise, which will then be followed by a U.S. tour in February with Sister Sin. As the year is ending and the festivities are just about to kick off, Doro got in touch with us to chat about the new album and upcoming live activity.
Check out a transcript of our talk below, in which she shares her excitement for new live shows, discusses a track dedicated to the late Ronnie James Dio, and gushes with love for all things '80s metal. More...
Vocalist Jared Dawn of Covington, Louisiana act Meridian has issued the following announcement about the band parting ways with its drummer:
"Robert Barrio will no longer be the drummer for Meridian. This decision was made on the grounds of many different things which I will make available to you right here and now. To keep a band alive, there are certain things you have to do which take more time then most people have.
"I could not ask Robert to throw his teenage life and school away for us. The rest of us are 18-20 years old, and out of school. We will begin touring during the regular school breaks, as well as during the year. And many of you may not know, but Robert is only fifteen years old which means he still has many years of school/teenage life ahead of him. This was my dream when I was young, but I decided to wait until I was out of school to do this and I cannot ask Rob to do differently. I want him to graduate and then make a decision of where he wants his life to be when he has those years under his belt. More...
