Poland's Acrybia has issued the following announcement about the release of "In Doubt We Trust:"
"At last, after many problems with line-up, labels and other persons, we can show you our new album - 'In Doubt We Trust,' recorded for new underground label - Umbra Sub Sole. First four tracks it's a new, re-recorded versions of songs from split with Zebulon Kosted. Rest of the album is a soundtrack from never released movie of Patryk Jurek 'Oblicza Mroku' with Grzegorz Kowalczyk, Piotr Grabowski, Krzysztof Wakulinski, Dorota Naruszewicz, Piotr Polk, Katarzyna Skrzynecka, Michal Milowicz, Waldemar Blaszczyk and others.
"Album was recorded almost in the same time that 'Human B. (ing)' album. We are back (for a moment) to experimental, dark ambient/industrial tones, but we don't forget about black metal riffs, and some poetic tones. After years we also recorded some death metal parts. Well, it's the most typical Acrybia's album, strange, neurotic, dark and depresive. Without music borders.
We hope you'll enjoy it."

It has been announced that former Dimmu Borgir bassist and clean vocalist I.C.S. Vortex will be releasing a solo album in 2011. The debut album from I.C.S. Vortex, titled "Storm Seeker," is set to feature 11 songs as well as guitars performed by Jens F. Ryland of Borknagar and Steinar Gundersen on bass.
I.C.S. Vortex commented on the album by saying:
"Brewed in a dirty metal pot, ingrediens included are stoner rock mashed with black metal, '70s prog-spiked pagan and alternative roots fried Norwegian style. Some of the song titles are 'Skoal!', 'Dogsmacked', 'Oil in Water' and 'Odin's Tree'.
"It's been a year of sporadic work at Toproom Studio with engineer Børge Finstad. My good old teammate from Borknagar, Asgeir Mickelson handles the drums, and Terje 'Cyrus' Andersen added some solos. Mix was done by Børge, Asgeir and me. A record deal is in the works and we're looking at a release in good time before summer 2011.
"The solo project has pretty much evolved into a band, and on future live appearances the recording lineup will be joined by Jens F. Ryland (Borknagar) on guitar and Steinar Gundersen (Sarke) on bass."

North Texas death metal outfit The Famine has posted the first in a series of behind-the-scenes video blogs online in anticipation of the forthcoming album, "The Architects of Guilt." The video, which can be viewed below, was filmed during The Famine’s summer 2010 recording sessions. "The Architects of Guilt" will hit stores on February 15th, 2011. The track listing is as follows:
1. The New Hell
2. Ad Mortem
3. We Are The Wolves

6. The Crown and The Holy See
7. VII The Fraudulent
8. A Pavement Of Good Intentions
9. A Fragile Peace
10. Pyrithion House
11. To The Teeth
"The Architects of Guilt is not a sing-a-long or a feel good record; it’s the death rattle and dying breath,” explains bassist Jon Richardson. “The Famine is not here to win popularity contests, simply create metal, red in tooth and claw. The music has become faster, more technical, even abrasive and discomforting, trading sheer aggression and energy for the lifeless sweeps and mechanized beats that have come to dominate and dilute the genre. The lyrics forego empty threats and skip the subtleties, calling out the deceit and duplicity of our leaders, and the decay next door masked by a flaking white picket fence and a familiar chemical scent.”
However, the recording process for The Architects of Guilt did not go as smoothly as The Famine would have hoped. The album’s release was set back months, due to an unfortunate electrical fire in the band’s studio. More...

Says guitarist Scott Hedrick, "A huge thank you to the bands, the fans, and everyone else involved in the tour -- except that one promoter; fuck you, dude! Kidding! Anyway, we had a fucking blast as usual. It's hard not to when you're traveling around the country with your best friends and your job is to party and shred.
"When we wake up from the impending holiday blackout, we'll be devoting all of our time finishing the next record. So keep an eye out: as the writing process continues we'll probably book a few dates and debut some new material. Thanks to everyone who supported us in 2010. It's been a great year! Cheers and beers!"

The only thing I regret is that I apparently can't tell a Bantha from a Wampa!"
Footage of Gwar trying out the Kinect can be found here. Oderus continued, "I have no idea why we do so much to entertain you people. Maybe it's because we are such driven artists. Maybe it's because we love the drugs and the money. Or maybe it's because I am just turning forty...seven...million years old."
The upcoming Gwar tour dates are as follows:
12/26 - New York, NY @ Best Buy Theater
12/27 - So. Burlington, VT @ Higher Ground

The clip was shot and edited this past October by director Alexander Koenig in Abtenau, Austria. Keeping with the concept of the forthcoming "Blood Magick Necromance" album, the crew went through over 60 liters of blood within two nights of shooting.
Bassist Serpenth states: “The clip aims to strip down the viewer's psyche with an onslaught of sadistic sex, musick and magick. The ritual action caught on tape was also inspired in part by the world famous works of Viennese Actionists such as Hermann Nitsch and Gunter Brus. Rachael Kozak took over the role of the possessed Sukkubus. As Pro-Domina she was perfect and totally into the role. The blood cut deeper than any drug. The process of such an intense shoot served as a cathartic experience for all involved, making what went on behind the scenes just as important as the final outcome of the visuals."
The album's track listing is as follows:

2. Rise to Fall and Fall to Rise
3. Blood Magick Necromance

"The reasons why Markku is not in the band anymore is his lack of abilities to perform and to make the show that we absolutely want to give to the audiences that comes to see us on stage. We need to continue with a guy who can make audience go crazy every single night!!!
