Swedish grinders Exhale has signed a deal with Pulverised Records. With a brand new full-length entitled "When Worlds Collide," this album sees the band "taking on a much more dynamic approach while still maintaining an extremely strict diet of sick and demented modern Grind-sanity."
"When Worlds Collide" will be scheduled for a 2013 release, with more announcements and further album details to be unleashed soon.
In an official press statement, the band stated: "We're really proud to announce that we have inked a deal with Pulverised Records. The label has released some really good albums during the years (Bombs Of Hades, Desultory, Morbus Chron just to name a few), so it feels great to be among them. When Worlds Collide contains 14 tracks of Grinding Death Metal. You will recognize the sound of Exhale but there are also a few surprises for you! Can't wait to release this monster! See you on the road in 2013!"
Pulverised Records A&R Manager Calvin further commented: "Throughout the years of our search for the signing the 'right' bands, there were of course many bands that we felt were a great addition to our roster. Then came along Exhale's four-song promo by way of email one day, and those four tracks became an instant hit with us! There are some real serious chops and unbelievably stalwart songwriting amongst all that chaos; it is almost unreal. We are extremely proud to have Exhale join the Pulverised family, and we cannot wait to present When Worlds Collide on a worldwide domination crusade. Onward to Grind-gotha we shall!"
Exhale recently filmed a music video for "Wrath Unleashed," the opening track from

"We are really excited to be releasing new, original music for the first time in over a year, and we thought the best way to do this was to release a song that combines the best elements of To 'Plant A Seed' and 'Understanding What We've Grown To Be.' 'Let These Words Last Forever,' along with two more new songs we will be releasing, shows the direction we are headed in for our next album. We're striving for the best combination of progression and staying true to our original roots."

The progressive metal aficionados at New Jersey-based Sensory Records this week announce the pending release of the newest album from Italy’s Kingcrow, "In Crescendo." The following press release was issued about the album:
"While working in a mostly progressive metal direction in the earlier days, Kingcrow has increasingly expanded the scope of their sound to encompass elements of rock, nowadays rounded-out in a culmination of strong atmospheric component similar to Riverside, Porcupine Tree and Pink Floyd but also bearing a heavier, metallic semblance to Opeth and Dream Theater. This is boldly present on the band’s fifth studio full-length, In Crescendo, the new album encompassing nearly an hour over eight epic movements. Produced by the band’s own Diego and Thundra Cafolla at Sound Under Pressure in Rome, the massive album was then mixed by Giampiero Ulacco and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music.
"Over the past two years Kingcrow has expanded the band’s fanbase through European tours in support of both Redemption and Jon Oliva, in addition to performances at ProgPower Europe and ProgPower USA. Plans for a U.S. tour are being devised for 2013 in support of In Crescendo."
Sensory Records, a division of The Laser’s Edge, will release "In Crescendo" in North America on February 12th. Stay tuned for further updates as the new album nears release and as Kingcrow takes to the road in the New Year. The album's track listing is as follows: More...

Finnish symphonic metal act Amberian Dawn announced the replacement for outgoing vocalist Heidi Parviainen, who split with the band back in November. New vocalist Päivi "Capri" Virkkunen was revealed along with sound samples in the video appearing below. The band plans to issue a compilation of re-recorded tracks with Capri on vocals to be issued in 2013.
The announcement on the band's official website reads:
"Hey all. As announced recently we have spent quite some time with the search for a new singer. A pretty hard task, but we think we managed to find an extraordinarily talented singer.
"We are very proud to present you Capri! She is from Finland and a professional vocalist with a strong background: she has worked for a vast amount of different kinds of studio- and live-projects (musicals, lead and backing vocal recordings, live shows etc). Capri has a classical training but is still 100 percent a rock singer. We are sure she will bring AD to a new level by interpreting AD songs with a different kind of style and emotion."
"And since we all thought that Capri can sing those “classic” AD songs with new and refreshing style and sound, we decided to re-record a selection of our best songs again with her. Also 75% of the music stems are going to be re-recorded. Mikko P. Mustonen, who did orchestral arrangements for our previous album (Circus Black) will add some more colour to those songs with awesome orchestral additions. He's also going to mix this album. Release dates, track listing and cover art are to be announced later."
Songwriter/guitarist/keyboardist Tuomas Seppälä commented: "Finding Capri and getting her join AD is like a big dream coming true to me. Capri shares the same taste in music as I and that's why is obvious that our new partnership is like “match made in heaven”. She really makes my compositions to shine like never before and I'm so impressed about her every way. I'm as excited as back then, when I found our original singer Heidi. Now my main focus is to make the whole world to hear about Capri and start composing new songs for her. But first, we're all concentrating on recording this compilation album with Capri and then I'll start working with new material for new studio album." More...
