Arsonists Get All The Girls Recording New Album

California act Arsonists Get All The Girls is set to head into the studio and record a new album with Zack Ohren at Castle Ultimate. The as-yet-untitled release will be the band's third slab of craziness for Century Media and fourth overall but, this time, vocalist Jared Monnette says the band is developing a brand new sound:

"This record is packed with a metric shit-ton of different sounds, directions, styles and grind. We've really tried to incorporate a new sound while keeping the important elements of AGATG, while letting the past year and half's experience and stories of tour steer the rest of the album. We've been through quite a bit in the recent year, and it's almost impossible to not incorporate all of our travel tales into the new sound. Every song has something special to offer, or a new story to tell that allows anyone listening a temporary escape. If its not the first song that you'll enjoy, then it will be the next. We've taken the next step in progressing our music, and it may be the first into a full sprint.”

The band expects to have the new LP ready for a mid-2011 release. Additional details will be announced as they are made available.

Requiem Finishing Recording On New Album

Switzerland's Requiem has issued the following final studio recording update:

"All vocal parts are recorded and it seems that there will be no fillers just killers on 'Within Darkened Disorder' - new voice and a new vibe to our own and unique style looks like a perfect combination... of course we all hope that you'll like the new CD.

"As you might know nowadays success is controlled through massive marketing and promotion campaigns rather than through the quality of music...however we are absolutely pleased with the new album as we invested everything we had into it...the future lies ahead and we'll see what our current negotiations with a couple of labels will bring...

"That's all for now hope to see you all at one of our shows. Release date of 'WITHIN DARKENED DISORDER' will be announced soon... The final cover artwork of Dan Seagrave will be revealed in a couple of weeks. Thanks for everything and your support...we appreciate big time 'cause it's not self-evident... Cheers for now."

"After I finished recording my guitar parts for the upcoming Obscura album 'Omnivium', I felt quite inspired and spent all of my free time working on the songs for this project.

"The CD is gonna contain 12 instrumental songs. Stylistically, the music is quite diverse and has influences from various genres such as neoclassical shred, fusion, power metal, hard rock, prog and thrash metal. And, of course, the songs will have guitar all over it! I like to describe it as '80s Shrapnel Records shred meets modern metal.

Bison B.C. Returns To B.C.

In an extremely short amount of time Vancouver, Canada's Bison B.C. have gone from local bar hoping metallers to international headline touring act. With three full length albums released and countless tours throughout North America and Europe Bison B.C. have become an unstoppable force, notorious for its intense live performances. Fresh off an extensive European tour the band returned to its home city of Vancouver to treat its loyal hometown fan-base to undoubtedly one of the city's most destructive concerts it has seen in years.

Having its welcome back show take place at the severely under-rated Biltmore Cabaret meant that the show would be a definite sell out, which it was was well before the doors were to even open. People of all different backgrounds were in attendance; from patch vest metalheads to flannel engulfed hipsters and everyone in between but while the crowd was diverse they all came for one thing, to watch Bison destroy everything in its path. But more about that later. Unfortunately, due to some issues not in my control, I was forced to sit out on the opening act Purple Rhinestone Eagle. I was told they were a female fronted power rock act that kicked out some decent and heavy tunes. That's all I can pretty much say as far as they are concerned. More...

Cephalectomy Working On New Album

Cephalectomy has issued the following announcement about working on a new album:

"As you can see, this is our first website update in over a year. Why? Honestly, because there really hasn't been anything to report. However, we finally have some news to share, so here goes...

"First off, Cephalectomy is working on a new album, it's in it's early stages, so don't expect it any time soon, but it's in the works. One song is almost done and a 2nd is underway. However, with this good news also comes bad news, we are officially calling it quits after the next album. Yes, that's right, our upcoming album will be the last release by Cephalectomy. There had been talks about calling it quits after the release of An Epitaph To Tranquility, however, as happy as we are with that album, we didn't feel it had the chaotic nature that previous releases have had, and we didn't want to end the Cephalectomy legacy on that note.

"Also, we're sad to announce that the next Cephalectomy album will be without vocalist, Peter Mestre. Peter is relocating for work and therefore will be unavailable to contribute on our final release. We wish Peter and his family all the best and thank him for his efforts in the band."
