Threshold Announces European Tour Dates
Threshold are about to hit Europe with their latest and critically acclaimed record Dividing Lines in spring 2023. Guitarist Karl Groom states:
"It has been too long since Threshold were on tour and the band cannot wait to get out and present Dividing Lines along with some fan favourites in 2023!"
Formed in leafy Surrey in the late ‘80s, Threshold truly blossomed in the following decade, and swiftly established themselves as the UK’s chief progressive metal standard bearers. From 1993’s Wounded Land debut onwards, the enduring creative core of guitarist Karl Groom and keyboard maestro Richard West constructed a unique new strain of heavy, progressive music, combining incisive melodies, thought-provoking lyrics and intricate but thunderous arrangements. Threshold have marched inexorably forward across three decades of creative fervour, arguably hitting a new peak of potency on the conceptual and musical splurge of 2017’s Legends Of The Shires.
With Glynn Morgan back in the fold, the Brits’ enduring line-up of Groom, West, drummer Johanne James and bassist Steve Anderson somehow pushed themselves to new heights, receiving widespread acclaim and finding themselves in more demand than ever before. Despite the unavoidable setback of a global pandemic, the band arrive in 2022 in the best of health.
Following up a newly-minted classic was always going to present Thrteshold with a challenge, but the band’s twelfth studio album swiftly confirms that the challenge has been met. Darker, heavier and even more adventurous than its predecessor, Dividing Lines reveals a band with a lot on their collective mind, while also boasting some of the most wildly inventive and melodically potent material they have ever recorded.
Support acts will be announced soon.

Subway To Sally To Release New Album In March
Almost four long years have passed since the pioneers of German folk rock, Subway To Sally, released their last album "HEY!." Now they return with their 14th studio album, "Himmelfahrt" (eng. Ascension), out March 24, 2023 via Napalm Records. The brand new album marks a turning point in the discography of the band: since the beginning of their promising career, the musicians gave the darkest abysses of human soul a spotlight – but now, they surprise fans with the total opposite. For the first time in over 30 years of their band history, the musicians celebrate hope!
With first single "Was ihr wollt" (Engl. What you want), the folk rock trailblazers criticize the principle of reciprocity, but above that, they also give a first taste of their new sonic realms. Including catchy rhythms and rousing electronic beats, a haunting atmosphere is created and sticks with the listener. Furthermore, the album opener is accompanied by a visually stunning official music video. More...
Cobra Spell Signs With Napalm Records
Napalm Records is proud to announce the signing of international sleaze quintet Cobra Spell. Founded in 2019 by up-and-coming guitar phenomenon Sonia Anubis (ex-Crypta, ex-Burning Witches), Cobra Spell are slithering their way into the revival era of the 80’s heavy rock sound. Following their globally praised EP’s "Love Venom" (2020) and "Anthems Of The Night" (2022), this past October, Cobra Spell’s current lineup released a new single “Flaming Heart”. The track features the chattiest of melodies, shredding guitars, hypnotic bass lines and synthesizers that will take you back to the golden era.
In addition to their successful EP releases, Cobra Spell have toured with established bands such as Ross The Boss, Enforcer and Evil Invaders, and are now armed and ready to take on all the stages worldwide, with a hunger to put on a show that will leave audiences around the globe speechless and wanting more!
Lead guitarist and band founder Sonia Anubis on the signing:
"This is a very big step for Cobra Spell. I have a huge amount of confidence in the potential of this amazing collaboration with the mighty Napalm Records. When it comes to record deals, I had really taken the time to look around for the very, very best I could get for the band since the dreams and goals of Cobra Spell are very big and we want to get sh*t done in the best way possible. We aim for 80s rock and roll world domination — and that is serious business. After having worked with Napalm Records in the past with my previous band Crypta, I am in no doubt that we will make this happen together. Be prepared for a whole new level of sleazy action from us. LET’S BRING THE 80s BACK!"
