Yet another vocal personnel change has happened. Laura and Withersoul have parted ways and we have recruited Lyssa (formerly of Azure Allele) in her place. To hear her previous work, head over here."
"Despite the setbacks, the album is still close to being completed. Just have to rework some lyrics and tighten up the little stuff. Give us a few months and we'll see you at the shows again."

Stream of Passion has posted the second tour diary from their "Beauty and the Beast" tour alongside Atrocity, Elis, and Sirenia. Excerpts from the road report follow:
"November 20, 2009 - Biebob, Vosselaar (B) Waking up because my iPhone is notifying me that we arrived in Belgium (network change) is not the most relaxed way to start a morning, but despite that it looks like it's going to be a terrific day. The bus is parked several hundred meters from the venue, and at the moment that we're crawling out of our bunks the doors are still closed. A quick dash across the street for a sandwich and then the venue opens their doors. It's time to drag some guitars and personal things in. The Biebob is a well-known and respected venue for us Dutchies and it's an honor to get the opportunity to play our music there again. Rather soon the bar near the entrance has been transformed into a internet cafe with all kinds of laptops on display. Through Skype Seven (Leaves’ Eyes drummer) and I seek contact with the people we left at home. I wave at my wife and daughter through the webcam. A slight sense of being home. More...

"Hey everyone!!! Special Report: We unfortunately have to announce that Olivier Pinard has left Vengeful to pursue his dream with montreallers Neuraxis.
"So we are now 'once again' looking for a new bass player. We're looking for a seriously passionate musician (age 25 +) with full gear to join the band as we've already started demoing songs for our 3rd release and we can't be slowed down by anymore lineup changes. Needless to say, we wish things would've taken a different turn but......that's just how this scene is after all??? Interested parties can contact us at: email@example.com or here.
"On the positive side. We've completed and demoed Awakening, Delusional, Still and Malice. Everything is sounding a bit more focused than on TOC but the material is also way deeper so expect something slower and even more depressive. We're starting on the faster stuff next week with Hooked.....we intend to play our hometown in Febuary and a few selected places around our province. Some of those dates will feature returning bass player Etienne Bayard as a fill in. We'll keep you posted!!!!"

A few weeks ago I was in the metal section of my local HMV branch, when I heard some kids mention a name. "Oooh! Death! What a great band name! Honestly, who would buy an album from a band with such a stupid name? I bet they suck!" All I could think to myself as they wandered away with their copies of the latest Slipknot and Panic! At The Disco albums was, "If you only knew, kids...." Quite honestly, Death's name is about the only thing anyone could ever have a problem with. Everything else about them is pure magic. Death is responsible for some of the best songs, album covers, song titles and musicianship in the celebrated history of extreme metal.
Death was formed in 1983 by vocalist/guitarist Chuck Schuldiner in the city of Orlando, Florida. They released their first album, "Scream Bloody Gore," four years later and quickly established themselves as one of the pioneers of death metal along with bands such as Possessed and Obituary. Their next album, "Leprosy" followed on where "Scream Bloody Gore" left off lyrically, focusing on violence, blood and guts, but the band changed to writing about more social and political issues on their next album, "Spiritual Healing." This album also featured alot more in the way of melodies and musical progression than the previous two albums. The band continued with their progression into the technical side of death metal when they released the album "Human" in 1991, which featured Schuldiner as well as Sadus bassist Steve DiGorgio and Cynic members Sean Reinhert and Paul Masvidal. "Human" also featured the band's first song to be given the music video treatment, "Lack Of Comprehension." More...
