"We shot the video exactly one year after the release date of the album “Year of The Hunger”, and this video represents what everyone of us is forced to do everyday... It's a metaphor about life and struggle. The best thing was to work with such a great artist like Guido Laurjni, he acted in several famous Italian movies, theatres, musical and also TV commercials, he's a really eye-catching actor. On the other hand we had the pleasure to work with one of the best photographer around, Andrea Livieri, just to give you the best result we can afford, like The Moor does every time." More...

Today a new carol is offered up from the hooded thrash phantoms in Ghoul. "Spill Your Guts" comes by way of the band's forthcoming split with weedian death metal ogres, Cannabis Corpse: "Splatterhash." Give "Spill Your Guts" a listen at Loudwire.com here.

Finnish dark metallers Asa-Noir have signed a worldwide deal with Wormholedeath for the release of debut album “Fall Of The Idols.”
Asa-Noir stated: “Thought’s strange sister comes in many unique forms. However, the true matter under our scrutinizing analysis are the darkened images of human nature, embedded deep within the collective subconsciousness of us all and embroidered with a ravenous hunger for gore and lust. The Aesir may be dead but the yawning Valkyrian Void we are drowning in – Worm Hole Death – is the reality with which we pave our path to self-enlightenment and awakening. Silentvm est aureum pro apostaticos!”
WormHoleDeath comments: “Asa-Noir deliver dark, claustrophobic and insanely emotional metal and this album is aboslutely a must for all lovers of epic and devastating music. I decided to sign the band since Asa-Noir perfectly represent the modern era in music and they have been able to narrate the drifting and contemporary state of things we are living with this huge work. Rage, Decadence, Obscurity and Violent Reaction are the feelings that this band is able to express with their music and I truly admire them for these incredible vibes that they are able to communicate. Check this out, they will devastate you all in pieces, this is the final fall and Asa-Noir made the soundtrack of it … Yes, it’s like a knife penetrating you without mercy with the only purpouse of setting you free.” More...

Earache/Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of British guitar virtuoso Ol Drake.
Ol Drake is currently working on his debut solo album, which is due to be released in 2014 under the project name of Old Rake and is set to include a number of guest musicians. Ol Drake comments:
"Very excited to announce signing a solo deal with Earache Records. I established a great friendship with the guys at Earache over the years while I was with Evile and I was happy to hear they wanted to work with me in a solo capacity. This will be a studio project entitled 'Old Rake'. I won't be touring, and I'm thankful to Earache for being understanding of this and for giving me this opportunity; I wouldn't rule out doing a few clinics here and there though.
"I've always been inspired by Steve Vai, and I've always wanted to do something in a similar approach orientated around metal with injections of other styles and ideas which interest me. After recently seeing the film 'Not Dead Yet' about the amazing and inspiring genius, Jason Becker, it really kicked me into gear to do something with my playing; music is all I can really do, so I'm thankful for the opportunity and ability to still create music for people to hear. Looking forward to getting the music out there!"
Ol Drake made his name as lead guitarist for Huddersfield thrashers Evile, during which time the band released four albums, scored a top 10 album in the UK Rock charts, toured around the world and won numerous accolades including a prestigious Metal Hammer Golden God award.
In 2010, Ol Drake was asked to join comedian/musician Tim Minchin on stage at the UK's Sonisphere Festival to help perform his track, "Rock N Roll Nerd," and in 2012 was nominated in the "Dimebag Darrell Shredder" Award at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods.
Alcoholator has issued the following statement about delays in releasing a new album:
"Last Tuesday, we were going to get the final mix for our new album, when we get there, the cops are outside, and we find out our engineer's apartment had been broken into. He got some equipment stolen, including the computer on which the mix was.
"Thankfully, there was a backup of the tracks on an external hard drive, which was thrown on the floor, so hopefully, everything will be fine and we only lost a few days of work. This adds up to the many misadventures we had to go through during the whole creation of this album. This will slightly delay the release date, once again, but rest assured, it will come out, and it will kick your ass!
"If you are in Montreal, and hear about a Mac computer for sale with a bunch of expensive pro-tools plugins and a Toshiba 40 inches TV, that most likely is the one. Let us know, we'll put you in contact with the guy. Scumbags who steal from musicians must die.
"Until then, drink beer and fuck Christmas up the ass!"
Starkill has issued the following statement about upcoming tour dates alongside Turisas:
"Europe, we're excited to announce we'll be returning for another full tour, this time supporting our brothers of the sword: Turisas! We're honored to be touring with one of our favorite bands and influences, and can't wait to see you all again!"

Sweden's Degial has issued the following announcement about splitting with the band's bass player:
"As you may know J. Megiddo wasn’t with us on our recent European tour. The reason is that he left the band just before the tour.
"It was his decision and we respect and understand the reasons that led to it. For almost seven years he has spread the word of Degial, and We have explored and grown in the darkness of our vision. Still we stand on the same side of the mist, still brothers in blood!
"We also want to show our gratitude to Jonatan from Vorum who rapidly could fill in for J. Megiddo for this tour. Beware the next coming of Degial!
U.K. outfit Unbeliever has checked in with the following statement about parting ways with the band's bass player:
"It is with sad hearts that we announce the departure of our bassist Ian Coulson from Unbeliever. Ian has been instrumental in helping us reach the point we’ve got to and will be dearly missed by us, not just because of his sweet musical skills, but because of his all round awesomeness as a human being.

Abigail Williams has checked in with the following announcement about officially recruiting a new guitarist:
"Please welcome Jeff Wilson to Abigail Williams as an official band member. Jeff has been working with us for the last year or so and will be playing guitar on the upcoming tours and the new album. Many of you will know him from other bands like Wolvhammer, Chrome Waves, and Liar In Wait, amongst others...
"For those of you wondering, Ian Jekelis is still in the band as a creative force but isn't playing live shows anymore. He also sat out the last two Abigail Williams tours in 2012. This might seem odd to some people, but for us it's perfectly natural to have a long-time band member who doesn't tour but is involved on other levels. With the addition of Jeff, it all means even more awesome guitar textures on the forthcoming releases.
"Filling in on bass and drums for the upcoming tour will be our friends John Porada (of Terminate) and Jesse Beahler, respectively."
Canadian folk metal act Scythia premiered the new song "Into the Storm" over at Metal Injection, and you can now hear the track below.
The song appears on the upcoming new album "....Of Conquest," which is expected in early 2014.
The song features a guest appearance from Wintersun guitarist Teemu Mäntysaar. Vocalist David Khan commented:
"This song is definitely one of the front-runners off of the new album. It is a great example of Scythia's musical diversity captured in less than 7 mins. It shows that we can write an orchestrated power metal anthem that evolves into a clashing instrumental that sonically represents a devastating storm. Complete with a guest appearance from Wintersun's Teemu Mäntysaari this song crushes, shred and soars above any of its predecessor's from our growing discography!"
The track list for "...Of Conquest" is:
