"We've recorded a fucking sick album together and we've played sick gigs, and we have had some of the sickest tours, for which I cannot be anything but grateful and appreciative!

Lamb Of God is pleased to announce that the band has entered in to a worldwide distribution deal with Specticast (Led Zeppelin Celebration Day, Paul McCartney Rock Show) for the Don Argott-directed feature film “As The Palaces Burn.”
Filming for the feature began in 2012 and concluded in March of 2013. “As The Palaces Burn,” not to be confused with the making-of documentary packaged with the recent re-release of the 2003 Lamb of God album of the same name, was conceived to be a documentary focused on the power of music and its impact on cultures around the world, along with its ability to bring together people of all nationalities regardless of religious or political differences.
After a worldwide casting call, filming took place in Colombia, Venezuela, Israel, India, and the United States. As filming reached its conclusion, the documentary was forced to take a major turn when the band’s lead singer, Randy Blythe, was arrested in the Czech Republic and charged with the murder of a fan in June 2012.
Granted unique access to Blythe’s continuing saga, Argott’s filming covered Blythe’s 38 day imprisonment in Prague, his release and the band’s return to live performances, and finally Blythe’s trial for murder in Prague in February 2013.
“As The Palaces Burn” will debut worldwide on February 27th. Following the film, a 30 minute Q&A with the entire band and director Don Argott will be shown. The Q&A was conducted by VH1 Classics Eddie Trunk and filmed at the final show of the band’s North American tour in support of their most recent release, Resolution. More...
Crematory will release new album "Antiserum" on March 4th, 2014 via Steamhammer / SPV. Drummer Markus Jüllich explains:
"Our fans can look forward to Antiserum, on which we have gone one step further than we did on our comeback album Revolution in terms of electronic influences. In collaboration with Elmar Schmidt of Hamburg EBM act Centhron, we have come up with a haunting mix of metal riffs and EBM keyboards. That's why I'd refer to Antiserum's musical direction as 'EBM-Metal.'
"In the beginning it was more difficult than we'd thought. The sounds and samples that Elmar brought us had no really song structures, that's why we didn't have a central theme to start off with. It took us two or three songs to get in to the groove, but from that point on it was an extremely exciting process to work on the new material."
The Crematory drummer is referring to tracks such as "Virus" with its pulsating EBM flair, "Inside Your Eyes," and the first single release "Shadowmaker.
Markus also states: "Even before the whole record was finalized we knew that 'Shadowmaker' had absolute hit potential. We never had a moment's doubt that we had come up with the new Crematory anthem. More...

The album's track listing is as follows:
1. Fight Or Die
2. Borrowed Time
4. Hardened By Consequence

With words from the creators themselves, the story of how the impending collaborative "Terrestrials" LP from Sunn O))) and Ulver was conceptualized and created has been dispatched to the public, in addition to the first auditory indication of the material the album presents.
Oslo, Norway, August 10th, 2008: Following the band's 200th gig, Sunn O))) teamed up with Norwegian legends Ulver at their Oslo studio, Crystal Canyon. They recorded three "live in improvisation" pieces, starting that evening and ending at dawn, as Northern sunlight seeped in through the windows.
Kristoffer Rygg states: "We were sitting in the console room, early in the morning, listening to the takes. Someone said, 'ah, sunrise over Crystal Canyon,' as if the night had been a dark one. We all laughed and Greg proposed it as a title. In that setting it sounded perfect. The boys had mentioned wanting the music to orient towards the light, like some lost pilgrim stretching before the sun. We kept that mental picture for the processing." More...

Massacre Records has issued the following announcement about inking a deal with Thyrien:
"We're happy to announce the signing of Thyrien from Finland! You don't know them? Fear not! We're here to help: Once upon a time, in 2005 to be precise, Thyrien was forged in the cold and harsh wastelands of Finland. In the beginning it was only a way to express music for Oskari and Jere, but later on a few other members appeared to strengthen the ranks of Thyrien.
"After a while they noticed that the new members weren't that into working as a band so few line-up changes were to be made.
"The journey was a bit complicated in the beginning, but after a while they figured everything out and Valtteri and Sakari Martikainen as well as Oskar Ketola completed the line-up of Thyrien.
"Now let us speak about the band's musical style, shall we?
"Are you a fan of folk metal, death metal and black metal? Thyrien got you covered and are offering you a fresh sip of mead without forgetting the traditions of folk metal!
"The guys focus on bringing you a melodic and brutal atmosphere with catchy drumming and grim vocals.
