One of my favorite countries, Japan is super-modern and hyper-polite, which is a combination that strikes a nice chord with me along with the hustle & bustle. As ever, we find our adventures most amusing and make the best out of our time there, though way too short.
"My apologies for the blonde length-wise filming of the Tokyo Tower! And I hope you enjoy my toilet-musings; I always find those space-age toilets so fascinating. :-) Thank you to our Japanese friends for making our time there once again unforgettable!"

Decadence has issued the following update about parting ways with guitarist Niklas Skogqvist and gearing up to enter the studio:
"It’s been a while since you last heard from us. We have an announcement to make before we can move on with more news. Niklas Skogqvist on 2nd guitar decided to leave the band last month. We have not yet decided if we will continue as a quartet. In fact, our music is more technically suited for two guitarists and we might therefore need a second guitarist again. Decadence is down to its solid quartet and we’ll see which turn we take after that. Nicke felt that he had too many things going on in his life. He said Decadence needs a guitarist that gives 100% which he says he was not able to do.
"Some of his own words: 'I want you all to know that I’ve had an awesome experience with you. I have had so much fun during these two years and I really wish I could go on with it. I’ve always enjoyed being with you, both as musicians by my side and as four best buddies. Missing you already, and of course, this decision consists of many emotions. But as I said, it’s been a blast being with you and you’re awesome at what you do. So a big tribute to you, I know you will go far with this, and knowing you, you will never give up. I wish the best for you because you are the best.' - Nicke
"We in Decadence wish Nicke the very best in the future and we feel with all our fans who believed in this line-up. Apart from all this, we have a gap in our tour dates since Venezuela this summer but now I (Kitty) have put my claws into this again and new shows are being planned at the moment in Europe. A heads up to all promoters who have bands to book for the spring/summer 2011, now you know Decadence will be traveling in Europe nearby you then. More...
Switzerland's Requiem has checked in with the following recording update:
"Phil arrived today. Everything's ready to record all the guitar parts. This time he uses ESP guitars exclusively due to his endorsement he signed in the beginning of this year. Amongst others he'll use the following models for the recording sessions of 'Within Darkened Disorder:' ESP NV-STD, ESP Eclipse-I CTM, ESP Horizon NT-II.
"His guitar rig mainly consists of two late 80s / early 90s Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier Heads in combination with some special foot pedal configurations. All new and never used on one of our last albums. So you all can expect something different than in the past....but don't be afraid we still play fuckin' heavy old school Death Metal of course...
"As this blog mainly consisted of written reports the last couple of days pictures are coming up next week. Stay tuned! Cheers & Greetz from snowy northern wastelands."
