Nothing would be easier for British rock legends UFO than to rest on their laurels. The band could easily release the occasional best-of album to earn a few additional royalties and be content with looking back at an exceptionally glorious past. And it certainly wouldn't be a problem for UFO to sell out tours on the strength of its name.
But idleness or indeed a musical standstill have always been out of the question for Phil Mogg, Paul Raymond, Andy Parker, and Vinnie Moore. These in equal measures experienced and ambitious musicians are interested in the present, their love of creativity and the active continuation of their celebrated band history. And now we can look forward to "Seven Deadly," the band's latest studio album which combines present and future with UFO's greatest fortes.
Mogg, Raymond, Parker and Moore are set to release 10 brand new songs on SPV/Steamhammer February 28th in North America.
The album will be released as a limited edition digipak (incl. 2 bonus tracks), a Double Gatefold LP with printed innersleeves and coloured vinyl, standard edition and download.

Australian melodic death metallers BerserkerfoX are very excited to announce Anthony Von Grim has joined the band as lead vocalist. The band commented:
"Tony's range, roars and and brutal screams demonstrated on his work with BloodWitch, Birdmouth and Fattura Della Morte made him the ideal replacement for former vocalist, Daniel Mozumder - BerserkerfoX parted ways with Daniel in September 2011 due to other life priorities.
"In equally exciting news, Oscar Schiesser, with his chops, work ethic and stage presence, replaces Anannd Thambirajah, who left in May 2011 to pursue other interests overseas. But what a year it has been thus far! 2011 saw the band touring with acts such as Frankenbok, Scar The Surface, Elysian, and Orpheus in support of BerserkerfoX's debut album 'History.Altar.Ashes.'
"Rather than a setback, this lineup change is a natural progression and the band is confident of belting out some fresh, new music in the coming months. In fact, the band is already hard at work writing their sophomore album! Here is a teaser track titled 'The Monopoly' featuring the new lineup. Check it out below. Stay tuned for tour announcements, news and studio diaries." More...

We are facing many challenges. There is an enormous tension between different religions and cultures, wars, natural disasters and a huge financial crisis, which is getting out of control. More than ever we will need each other to overcome these problems. As we are all connected; the universe, earth, nature, animals and human beings, this period in time will be the prelude to the end for those who still don't want to, or simply won't see it. A REQUIEM FOR THE INDIFFERENT but also a possibility for a new beginning with great new chances!"
The band's latest studio report post was as follows: "So far 5 songs have been mixed of the upcoming Epica album (RFTI), the remaining songs will be finished during the upcoming 1.5 week! we'll keep you posted!" More...
Scottish death metallers Cerebral Bore are due to kick off a mini U.K. tour tonight, Thursday, December 1st, at The Borough in Sunderland.

Dec. 02 - Birmingham, UK - Scruffy Murphy's
Dec. 03 - Derby, UK - The Old Bell

Vengeful has issued the following announcement about streaming the "Delirium" track online, which features a guest appearance from Alex Camargo of Krisiun and is taken from Vengeful's new self-titled album:
"Hello everyone!! The wait is over. Vengeful's is now on the shelves. You can now feed on these venomous tracks as much as you need to. Recording and releasing a double-album filled with death metal was an enormous task but those who heard the album all agree that it was worth it.
"For the occasion we thought of celebrating the release by giving you a brand new track dubbed Delirium. It's taken from the Towards Obliteration part of the album and it features none other than Alex Camargo from Brazilian warriors Krisiun on vocals. The brazilian brothers are another obvious influence on Vengeful. Not only for their constant pummelling and viciousness but these guys really are a true example of work ethic and perseverance. They play (just like us) this music for the right reasons. Nothing related to fame or money. It's all about the music and delivering something good to the people that support the scene. Delirium is available on our Myspace or via the MEDIA section of our website.
"You won't be hearing from us for few weeks but make sure to let us hear from you and what you think of the album. It's safe to say we are positive that this is the best representation of the band to date.......by far. Thanks for the support to those out there that actually care.!! Keep spreading the word."

Terrorizer magazine reports that Testament singer Chuck Billy confirmed that drummer Paul Bostaph, who is out of action recovering from a serious injury, has left the band. The split appears to be amicable. Gene Hoglan filled in for Bostaph on the band's recent tour with Anthrax and Death Angel, and he is also providing the drumming for Testament's forthcoming album "The Dark Roots of Earth."
Billy commented to Terrorizer, "We just found our last week Paul Bostaph is not coming back to the band, he's starting his own new project and doing some things on his own. So we're actually going to be holding a couple of auditions with probably small group of drummers that we chose - we don't want to have a revolving drum stool, we have a new record we want a permanent drummer."
Ironically, Bostaph's new project is with former, and disgruntled, Anthrax singer Dan Nelson called Black Gates.
