We, The Undersigned have issued the following road report from their current Canadian tour:
"November 1st - The Vinyl - Guelph, ON Our first official show of the tour has us playing in the beautiful city of Guelph ON. This is exciting because sharing the bill with us is local tech-metal masters Time, The Destroyer. Also sharing this bill with us is the 'Triad in Blood,' Vancouver’s own Ninjaspy. They’ll be playing every show with us until November 21st in Vancouver at which point we’ll sadly part ways, hopefully a little wiser than the day we left our home in NB.
"Anyone who’s been to Guelph knows that The Vinyl is probably the best venue in town for a rock show. The place can probably hold 200-300 but since it’s only us in town we brought out 50-60 head-bangers. Someday though, we’ll pack the place. Good times.
"November 4th - The Green Bottle - Oshawa ON Similarly to our last venture across this great country, we’ve become victims of unreliable promoters and found our Nov 2nd and Nov 3rd in Toronto and Hamilton canceled. Although these days off were quite useful as we accomplished numerous things that should’ve been done before tour, we were itching to destroy Oshawa tonight, hopefully in front of a decent pile of people. And so... More...

A titanic thanks goes : To all the crew who worked each day like insane beasts to make this musical orgy happens ; To the fans from every countries...you rocked so much and gave us such a warm welcome...it was unbelievable ! ; Big Elf and Opeth...we couldn't have better companions to enjoy the ride we salute you and can't wait for our roads to cross again ;) ...And of course, heartfelt thanks to Mike Portnoy and Dream Theater for inviting us to share this epic musical tribune...you guys have been perfect hosts !
"We got some more pictures on our myspace page to commemorate it all so go check those out ! Also created a FAN ART/TATTOOS section in the pictures section so don't hesitate to send us your unexpect related creations ! In addition to that, we collected a couple of videos from the tour that people posted on youtube on our Official youtube channel including Landryx's Jam with Portnoy at the Wembley Arena of London...(which ended by a drummer quartet!) and since we played a new song in our set list, some people obviously filmed it... so here's a chance to glimpse a small parcel of the upcoming cd ;) For those who know the Computer game Frets on Fire (similar to guitar hero), someone programmed our song 'Vespers Gold' from first album Utopia to play along!
"Now that we're back home, we'll finish up the mix of the new album with Jef Fortin as soon as he gets back from his own tour. We won't be doing any more shows for a while now until we release the album so don't miss the chance to see us at the Trois-Rivières Metalfest next weekend!"

Billboard.com is reporting that Rammstein's new album "Liebe ist Für Alle Da" will be banned from public display in Germany. Excerpts from the article follow:
The album "Liebe ist Für Alle Da" ("Love is For All") by German hard rock group Rammstein - currently at No. 2 on Billboard's European Albums Chart - has been banned from public display in German stores with effect from Nov. 11 on account of its depictions of sadism/masochism, which have been deemed to be harmful to children and young people.
Announcing this ruling, Petra Meier, the deputy president of the Federal Office for the Examination of Media Harmful to Young People, cited the track "Ich tue Dir Weh" ("I Want to Hurt You") as well as the artwork showing guitarist Richard Kruspe with a masked, naked woman on his knees. The Federal Office objected to the fact that the track includes lines such as "Bites, kicks, heavy blows, nails, pincers, blunt saws - Tell me what you want."
The German Federal Office for the Examination of Media Harmful to Young People in Bonn also criticized the single "Pussy," stating that it incites listeners to engage in unprotected sexual intercourse despite the risk of AIDS, although the single was not officially part of the ruling banning the album.More...

Finnish metallers Moonsorrow have issued the following announcement about canceling their November 14th tour date:
"Moonsorrow's show in Bulgaria canceled!! We are very sorry to announce that we had to cancel our show in Sofia on November 14th. Our bassist/vocalist Ville Sorvali's back had to be operated in an emergency situation. An intervertebral disc in his back was ruptured resulting in a pinched spinal nerve, so he could not even walk for days. The operation went smoothly and he should recover in time for the shows in Russia. We are extremely sorry about the cancellation and we hope to play in Bulgaria sometime later! Any pre-ordered tickets will be refunded by the organizer."
Job For A Cowboy has issued the following road report:
"Charn from Job for a Cowboy here checking in and filling everyone in on what's shaking in the Job for a Cowboy camp these day. Quite a lot has been happening with us these days, what with touring with Lamb of God, Gwar, and the Red Chord along with a seemingly endless run of bad luck with our transportation, which I will get to later.
"Anyway, lets start off with a positive note. We were lucky enough to have all of our family issues resolved by October 26th and came back on tour with our first show being in Buffalo, NY. Super excited about being there a day early we decided to go to the place where Buffalo Wings supposedly originated a restaurant/bar called the Anchor Bar. Needless to say the food was delicious, the beer was flowing and the flat screen televisions were aplenty. After Al, Thomas (our bus driver) and myself ate there when we arrived in buffalo at the bus station we were off to pick up the rest of the fellows at the airport after they had had numerous flight delays and other things setting them back from entering blustery northeastern New York. With them on the bus we decided to park by the venue and head back down to the Anchor Bar to chow down for one last time that evening. With the exception of a very drunk man yelling at the Phillies on the television and ranting about the Yankees everything was going swimmingly until an obviously drunk man and his wife entered the bar. This is when things got awkward. More...

Finland's Amoral has issued the following tour recap and announcement about working on new material:
"We made it back alive! The falling down the stairs, the near-broken ribs, the 't-shirt incident,' the breaking into our own van, the 16 000 km of driving in one month. Still, we'd get back on the road tomorrow if that was an option! We wanna thank Amorphis for being the great headliners that they were, and for taking us with them in the first place. Thanks to Before the Dawn for being the best possible co-support act, things have never run smoother. The crew, especially our designated driver Peki and our tour master Joey, you guys rule! Sami-Hannu, the sound engineer, for making us sound good night after night. Tuomas from BTD for stepping up and helping us out in Prague in our time of need. And the thousands of people we had the pleasure to play to this past month: thank you very much for the warm responses, the kind words after the shows and just for showing up in time to catch the first band of the evening! We hope to see you all real soon...
"Back home now, we have the rest of the year off. Well, off from playing shows anyhow. The plan is to start working on new songs immediately. A bunch of new ideas have been waiting even before the tour, and new riffs were worked on every day at the back stages across Europe, so we have a lot to go with already. No schedules or deadlines yet whatsoever, but naturally we'll let you know as soon as something comes up."
Arsenic Addiction has issued the following announcement about recruiting a new drummer:
"Well this has been long overdue! As of September 1st, 2009, Arsenic Addiction is pleased to welcome our new member/drummer Scott Hurtado. We are stoked to have Scott be apart of Arsenic Addiction and our future. Formerly Scott played for an awesome local band named 'Last of the Bloodline.' Paul DeMann has moved on to personal goals and dreams and Arsenic Addiction wishes him the best of luck, he will be missed. With our final line-up Arsenic Addiction thanks all of you for your support, and hopes to become the unstoppable force we want to be."
New Jersey metallers Ataraxia, who recently parted ways with lead guitarist Ryan Pecca, have issued the following statement about parting with their rhythm guitarist Matt Cesari:
"And another one bites the dust... Yesterday we parted ways with Rhythm guitarist Matt Cesari. It was a very amicable split and we look forward to hearing whatever Matt does in the future. Unfortunately Matt just wasn't on board with the direction the band was heading it (more songs like Crawl Through Knives and Burning). So hey if you want to play guitar in our band we have about 7 originals written and some merch, just fill out the form here."
Bonded By Blood has issued the following statement about finishing the writing process for their new album:
"Well where to start. We had a great run this yr with the tours in support for Feed The Beast we did a west coast tour a full USA tour and 2 European tours. We got great feedback and had lots of fun. A lot has happened since then. We have been working really hard to give you a great 2nd album. We don't want to disappoint and I'm pretty sure you wont be. We also lost a great friend and bassist but quickly found a great replacement in a guy named Jerry Garcia, some of you locals may know him as the Taking Over Bassist, which has brought great ideas to the BBB table. Now on to the juicy stuff...
"The new album: We are almost done writing. We have also demoed some songs for our listening pleasure. It also helps me write lyrics. I have shown some of my really close friends and allies and they love it. Its a step up from the old stuff and a step in the right direction. We have a couple of album names floating around but nothing is set in stone. We have narrowed down some studios in LA and around the area as well as producers. There is also a really cool artist that instantly captivated our eyes with his work I'm pretty sure you will love him as well once you see the art. The sound and subject matter is a bit different than our last attempt but in a good way. Its heavier fast and a bit more technical and precise. Still has that BBB taste. We are trying to get in the studio in December or maybe even January. So this new untitled album will be out early next yr. I know you cant wait to get your palms on it. Shit Im fucking excited to get my palms on it. More...

The Las Vegas Sun is reporting that Steven Tyler has quit hard rock act Aerosmith after their recent performance in Abu Dhabi. Excerpts from the article follow:
“Steven quit as far as I can tell,” Guitarist Joe Perry said from his Boston home. “I don’t know anymore than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.”
Part of the problem, he says, is that Tyler doesn’t return his phone calls. “He’s notorious for that,” Perry said. “That’s one thing I’ve learned to live with. I try to overlook it. I like to pick my battles. Frankly, the last few months I’ve been wanting not to rock the boat. I don’t want him canceling any more gigs. We really wanted to do these last four. We just kind of didn’t want to call him out or anything and get him anymore pissed off, for whatever reason. So we just let things lie. So we did the gigs and, like I said, I got off the plane and saw this online. That’s how I know about it.”
Most of Aerosmith’s recent world tour was canceled in August after Tyler fell from the stage at a Sturgis, S.D., concert and broke his shoulder. The band members were unhappy with Tyler over the incident. However, Aerosmith salvaged the final leg of the tour, including two shows in Hawaii and one Sunday at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix before more than 50,000 fans.
UPDATE: Tyler has since refuted the claim that he has left the band.

Each week in "Unearthing the Metal Underground," we'll be putting a few quality underground bands in the spotlight in an attempt to get the word out about them. Although I can't say I've ever had the pleasure of visiting the country music capital of the world, I can say I've been delving into their more depressing side. More depressing than a bottle of whiskey and singing about heartbreaks to your dog? You bet, because we're delving into three new doom metal bands from the American mid-east.
To start off, the band Loss is one of my favorite underground bands. Coming onto the scene in 2004 with the lauded "Life Without Hope...Death Without Reason" demo, Loss plays an epic neoclassicical death/doom of a particularly morbid variety. Loss's last release was a four way split including Aussie funeral doom legend Mournful Congregation, which should hold the band's pedigree to be suffice. Whispers in the trees were that the band may have a full length coming out on Profound Lore Records called "Despond," so keep tuned to Metal Underground for future news. Until then, the "Life Without Hope..." demo is available to hear on the band's MySpace player. More...
Californian heavy metal outfit Armored Saint has posted a new video online which shows drummer Gonzo Sandoval tracking drums for the song, "Head On." You can check it out below. The band are currently recording their first studio album since 2000's "Revelation" record. The new album does not have a confirmed title as of yet but some of the songs scheduled to appear on the record include, "La Raza," "Blues," "Black Feet" and "Chilled" amongst others. More...
Megadeth drummer Shawn Drover has checked in with an update regarding the bands upcoming tour of the United States and other topics. The message reads as follows:
"Needless to say here that I am looking forward to this American tour leg, especially around this time of year, as I am hoping to see some snow (though I am not certain 'where' or 'If' I will see any) Ya, I know some of you are shaking your little Metal heads in non-approval, but hey, living here in Atlanta (and being a frost-bitten Canadian boy) I have to say I do miss seeing the snow during the winter months, so hopefully I will see a decent amount. I was just talking to Willie Gee about during our 2004 North American tour we did with our friends in EXODUS around this time of year, we were stranded en route to Denver for about 12 hours at a truck stop due to a massive blizzard in the Denver area. The first blizzard blast I had seen in a long while at that point - As well, I always enjoy sharing a stage with my friends in Machine Head, so it will be good seeing them once again on this tour leg. Of course, all of us were saddened to hear that Tom Araya (SLAYER) had to undergo back surgery, and thus, we had to put the Canadian Carnage shows on hold for a bit. We all wish Tom a super speedy recovery and the best of health. Look for new info pertaining to these Canadian Carnage shows in the not too distant future
"I have been submitting a lot of music for our Megadeth Radio station, and although really we have just begun with this station, it really has been fun for me. There is so much cool music that is never played on normal rock radio (which is the main reason I really don't listen to it anymore) having control over our own radio station does put a smile on my face. I put it on yesterday morning and heard 'Zero Tolerance' by DEATH (which is one of my all-time favourite metal bands - hands down) and I did think to myself 'this does NOT suck!!' Actually, I need to talk to Dave (Mustaine) about putting more Death tunes on our station (and maybe some SUFFOCATION, too - heh). Other than this, I am enjoying time at home with my family before we hit the Killing Road."
Death metalers INCANTATION will return to Europe in early 2010 with labelmates Hate, who are on their own destroying South America this winter. Both INCANTATION and HATE will be supporting their latest records on this tour, with support from DIVINE EVE and NOCTEM.
