“Dustwalker” will be Fen’s third album on Code666, which previously released the band’s debut full-length “The Malediction Fields” in 2009 and “Epoch” in 2011. Commenting on “Dustwalker," frontman The Watcher had this to say:
“If Epoch embodies a lonely walk into the deepening twilight of the fens in Autumn, then Dustwalker represents the cold, sharp greys of a bleak winter’s dawn. An expression of isolation, abandonment and a gradual detachment from the material realm, this album is a starker, more direct representation of the Fen sound.” More...

"The new album, tentatively titled 'Fate is your Muse,' is a collection of hard hitting metaphysical introspection after vocalist-guitarist Steve Janiak’s self-described ‘epiphany’ in 2011. With topics ranging from reincarnation, quantum physics, alternate universes, the illusion of time, and the mystery of consciousness itself, each song is like a window with a different view on reality.
"Fusing monstrous Sabbath-like riffs with memorable melodies and intricate instrumental textures, the album takes Devil To Pay to untold levels of musical and lyrical growth. Tracking began late this summer at Azmyth Studios with Ryan Adkins at the helm, getting the levels just right. The final mixes were turned in to rock n’ roll preservationist Tony Reed, at HeavyHead Studios, for final mastering. More...

Sweden-based occult rock quintet Year of the Goat is in the final stages of preparation for the release of debut full-length, "Angel’s Necropolis." The album is to be set free upon the Earth this December 7th, 2012 via Germany’s Ván Records. The following press release was issued about the album:
"Preceded only by two short EP’s, also released by their comrades at Ván Records, Angel’s Necropolis is a brilliantly infectious album highlighting the classic metal/occult rock harmonies Year of the Goat seemingly permeate the air around them with, rather than 'perform' or 'execute' said riffery. The atmospheric permeation of the eight rituals which comprise their Angel’s Necropolis offering form the proper conditions to transport the listener to another plane of existence for over fifty minutes; a meditative state in tribute to Lucifer and his legions.
"Year of the Goat now offers a sampling of their magic to the world; a hymn professing not only their talent and devotion to their songcraft, but also proof of their unwavering allegiance to their master. Engulf yourself in 'I’ll Die For You' below. Stay tuned for proclamations of live rituals and more propaganda on this act over the coming weeks as the album nears delivery."

New Jersey-based Mutiny Within has released the following statement:
"Many people have a countdown until December 21, 2012. The time has come for a new countdown: January 12, 2013. Modern metal juggernauts Mutiny Within have announced the official release date of their long awaited sophomore album, 'Synchronicity,' for January 12, 2013.
"Mutiny Within made waves in the metal community early in their career by joining the Roadrunner Records roster and touring endlessly on the heels of their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. Having half the lineup live across the great Atlantic pond and having serious financial difficulties due to the rampant piracy in the music industry, Mutiny Within was forced to go on hiatus in 2011. That was the end of the touring band, but not the end of their music.
"Epic metal music cannot be contained – not even by the one-eyed pirates of the tumultuous thief infested world we call the 'music industry.' Mutiny Within had so many good ideas and music ready to go, founding member/songwriter A.J. Jacobs and singer Chris Clancy decided to finish what they started and put out the next evolutionary sound of Mutiny Within in the form of the self-produced 'Synchronicity.'
"The road is far from over for Mutiny Within, and fans can look forward to many surprises leading up to the highly anticipated release of 'Synchronicity.'"

"His unbridled enthusiasm for our music back then when most people didn't 'get it' meant so much to us. It's a great feeling to now play his fantastic festival and celebrate the staying power of Spiritual Beggars and the Roadburn concept together! German death metal horde Defeated Sanity has completed work on the band's new full-length album. Titled "Passages Into Deformity," the nine-track follow-up to 2010’s "Chapters of Repugnance" is scheduled for release on February 5th, 2013 via Willowtip Records.
"Passages Into Deformity" was recorded at Soundlodge Studios in Germany and includes guest vocal appearances by Frank Rini (Internal Bleeding), AJ Magana (ex-Defeated Snity, Disgorge US), and Brian Forgue (Syphilic, Gutrot) with sound effects performed by Jon Engman (ex-Brodequin). "Passages Into Deformity" will also be paired with a bonus DVD featuring making-of clips, interviews with the band, and performance videos.
Comments the band in a collective statement: “With Passages Into Deformity, fans can expect another quality release from Defeated Sanity. Without compromising the brutality of our sound, we have stepped it up in terms of the overall production. The album has a more old-school vibe to it, with a lot of early ‘90s inspired riffs and slams, but we made it a point to not get away from the technical and progressive stuff as well. People can definitely expect the most balanced Defeated Sanity album yet.” More...
Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, will release "Rage Against the Machine - XX," commemorative 20th anniversary editions of the eponymous debut album from the band, on Tuesday, November 27, 2012.
Formed in 1991, Rage Against the Machine opened the gates of a new boundary-obliterating rock-rap musical alliance with the band's literate and politically-charged debut album, originally released in November 1992. Featuring band members Tim Commerford, Zack de la Rocha, Tom Morello and Brad Wilk, Rage Against the Machine became a critical and commercial success, selling millions of copies around the world while attaining legendary status among alt-rock fans. To this day the album, and the band, remain standard-bearers for uncompromising incendiary rock.
Newly remastered for this anniversary release, "Rage Against the Machine - XX" will be available as a CD in three configurations:
1. 20th Anniversary Edition Deluxe Box Set housing two CDs, two DVDs, one 12" 180gm vinyl LP, one 40 page booklet and two-sided poster;

Anathema has issued the following announcement about recruiting Daniel Cardoso as a permanent member:
"Anathema is delighted and proud to announce that Daniel Cardoso is joining the band on a full time permanent basis as a key element of our musical team.
"Anyone who has seen us live this last year will have seen Daniel behind the keyboard rack with us. Some of you will know his production skills with our friend Anneke van Giersbergen, Head control System and many other works. Others of you may know him as one of the most bad ass drummers working in Europe today.
"Our man Cardoso is such a complete musician who adds so much to our line up that the thought of working closer with him has been growing on my mind for some time. I simply love the way he plays and we share a common sensibility and understanding of the music and how it should sound. So I came to the conclusion that the strongest incarnation of Anathema, in the studio as well as on the road, is with Daniel in the line up, full time.
"I now feel that alongside the brilliant and rarely gifted songwriter John Douglas, who remains integral to what we do, with this addition we can now accomplish anything musically that we might imagine. Everywhere I look in the band I see great talent.
"It's important for the fans to know and understand that that the long standing Anathema songwriting team of Daniel Cavanagh, John Douglas and Vincent Cavanagh stays intact and remains strongly bonded and unchanged.
"Our philosophy is - if it isn't broke, don't fix it. This songwriting team is important to our continued growth. More...
