"The band was formed back in 1995 and made an immediate success to the Greek audience with its hard sound and the use off Greek language on the lyrics.
"The first album ('Vasisou pano sou,' meaning 'count on yourself') was relatively the lightest and made its way to almost all the commercial radio charts in Greece. Despite their label's inducements to continue like this, the band's sound grew harder, much too hard for the musical taste of Greek commercial radio djs. So from the third album and on, the band collaborated with various independent domestic labels, keeping an underground profile. More...

Hall of Metal has issued the following announcement about offering a new Spanish metal compilation as a free download:
"Our new compilation 'Hall Of Metal Vol.2' is online just now. Here you will find 31 Spanish bands in a double CD playing up to nearly 160 minutes of length available in mp3 and flac formats, as a free download here.
"The main idea that guided us in this new volume is the same as in the previous one: Spanish bands with lyrics in English. But this time we wanted to create a more professional looking info sheet (a big pdf file with bands bio, contacts, photos...) and even more variety regarding musical styles.
"You will find from good ol' heavy metal, thrash, death, black... to stoner, instrumental or psychedelic sounds. We aim to help everyone discover different sounds, and the bands that make them to reach an audience that maybe wouldn't dare to explore them on their own. We sincerely believe both the quantity and quality levels will fulfil the expectations of all those who download the two discs that make this 'Hall Of Metal Vol.2.'"

November 5th, 2011—Day two of Fun Fun Fun Fest exemplified Texas’ extreme weather conditions. Rare rains are great for picnics, but eventually raise havoc on the land. The hottest summer in the recorded history of the United States revealed an Auditorium Shores that resembled a Western ghost town rather than the green knolls of a public park.
Dust masks and bandanas veiled the features of the day’s attendees, giving the festival an appearance part Old West and part zombie-virus film. Those in attendance deserve credit for braving such abhorrent conditions. Weather conditions are beyond the control of Fun Fun Fun’s staff, although I can’t help but think something could have been done to curb the dust problem. No matter who was to blame for Friday’s short Misfit’s set, no controversies marred Saturday’s festivities.
A death metal bludgeoning assaulted my ears upon entering the venue. I asked myself, “Why would a comedy stage play host to a death/grind band?” I peeked around the corner to see this group was Captured By Robots. The one-man-several-robots group was part Mystery Science Theater 3K and part Gwar. Eyeballs and intestines protruded from front man JBOT, who carried on silly conversations with jean-jacket clad, double-necked guitar playing robot GTRBOT666. An ensemble of a disembodied, dreadlocked drummer, DRMBOT 0110 with a macabre brass section and “Monkey Shines” percussion kicked out a hilarious mix of punk, metal, grind, Dubstep and pop covers. Two of the more memorable songs include Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” and Buster Poindexter’s “Hot Hot Hot.” More...

Additionally, frontman Paul Masvidal and drummer Sean Reinert spoke to Metal Injection after their set. The guys discussed the evolution of their new EP, if they plan on releasing more EPs in the future, their new members, their experiences with LSD and they reveal that they expect to release a new full-length album by the Summer. Watch the full interview at this location. More...

"The album release show for Zebulon Kosted's new full length CD Swords of the Hordes will take you to a new level of disgust and rage!
"Infamous openers Throne of Lies and Monks on Fire will undoubtedly damage you emotionally with a barrage of Metal the likes of which Missoula has never seen.
"Throw in a guest appearance by Sudzy Balboa, and you have the recipe for scarring experiences in a comfortable setting ;)"

Fresh out of the studio with our new self-titled release, we are very anxious to get on the road to shred some new music. We'll be playing songs from all three records, however we'll be focusing more on new material. Touring with Children Of Bodom has been a dream of ours since we started the band, so to be on this tour is just insane. We'll be giving it all we've got, so be prepared for a f**kin’ slaughter!”

Norwegian act Trollfest recently announced the band has begun recording a new album. The trolls have now checked in with the following update from the studio:
"Day two, and TrollBANK has proven to be super efficient. We are looking at at least six songs with drums recorded in just two days. This is not only according to schedule, but slightly ahead, even. It will probably prove useful later on. Of course, that TrollBANK is recording fast is not the only thing. He is also precise and laying down some really heavy stuff mixed with funk, blast beats, and whatchacallit.
"To listen to how the songs shape up just by getting proper drum-tracks is really rewarding. The drumsound we got kicks so much ass that we can't help ourselves from being superpsyched about laying down more stuff already!
"For now: Pats on the back to TrollBANK, our eminent superman behind the drums, fellow trolls! Stay tuned! The story continues tomorrow!"
Goregrind henchmen Exhumed are currently pulverizing the masses on the second leg of their North American tour with Goatwhore and Havok.

The shows have been a shitload of fun and we’re having a great time raging with the boys in Goatwhore and Havok. So if you’re anywhere near our path of destruction, dysfunction and debauchery, come out and get your sense splattered.”
Exhumed still has the following upcoming shows with Goatwhore and Havok: More...
