Drowning Pool has issued more updates from the studion. Stevie's update is as follows:
"We are now in full on drum mode at the studio. I'm so glad I didn't grow up wanting to be a drummer. They just have so much crap to deal with. There are a hundred different parts to a kit, any of which can break at any time..... Anyway, things are going pretty smoothly. So as long as the Cowboys and Saints keep winning, this record should turn out awesome!!!!!...."
Mike has a couple of video updates as well:

Swiss death metallers Omophagia have issued the following update about writing new material:
"I'd just like to tell you what's happening at the Omophagia-camp at the moment. As you all know we are working hard to get the new CD done as soon as possible and fortunately things seem to work out great. We make good progress in the songwriting process and hope that we can start recording the new shit even within this year. So far 8 songs have been finished and since we are always working on several tracks at the same time you can be sure more tracks will be completed soon. Be prepared to listen to the most brutal stuff you ever heard from Omophagia!
"As I told you earlier we will give few concerts this winter because of the songwriting process. To be more precise we will only do ONE! The so called 'Rotting Tank Festival' will take place at the capitol city of Switzerland, in Bern. The date will be the 22th and 23th of January and the venue is called Gaskessel. Here are the bands that will play with us: God Dethroned, Confector, Asag, Knowhere, Bloody Blasphemy
"By the way take a look at these bands, they all are really great. Especially I would like to call your attention to the blackmetal act Asag. I did the recording and mixing of their new album 'Feuer zieh mit mir' which they will present at this event. A real interesting act, don't miss it! Hope to see you guys there and who knows, probably we are able to show you some new shit! So for those who can't wait, we will se ya there!"

Sunday 11th in Rome it was Rudj Ginanneschi's debut gig!!! After this show, the band is taking a break from live performances and is concentrating their energy on songwriting. In the meantime we wish Pek all the best for the future and wish the same luck that Pek had in the band to Rudj. Eldritch is a big family and we'll never forget anybody's contribution to the band's career. Ok, keep your eyes wide open on the next bulletins!! Cheers."

U.K. metallers Skyclad have issued the following European tour recap:
"Whilst contemplating this tour blog, I was reminded of a line from a Tom Verlaine song that says, 'the travels fulfils you but the distance it kills you’. It would be easy indeed to moan about the long distances, the aches and pains caused by too little sleep, too much alcohol and the rather variable nutritional intake – and don’t even mention the ‘excess baggage’ charges (budget airlines my arse). However, the clue is in the title, if you want to ‘tour’ you gotta travel and it aint a ‘9 to 5’ gig (man); and so we set off (at 4:30 in the morning) for the ‘In The East All Together’ Tour. Passing through nine countries (covering half of Europe) to play eight gigs in seven days.
"The first gig was in Oberhausen, Germany (Skyclad’s ‘second home’) at the Helvete Club. Good solid metal gig with a great crowd. It was also my birthday (cue jokes but thanks to all for singing ‘Happy Birthday’) and it was great to meet up with a lot of old friends; including the Dong Open Air crew and our friends from Carlisle (good effort lads) and thanks everyone for all the photos, videos, cards and presents – the Port will find a good home. We had gigged with Adorned Brood before but it was nice to meet up with a young Spanish band, Kathaarsys, from Galicia (another favourite haunt of Skyclad), who brought greetings from the TNT bar in Santiago (what a night). So far so good and it was a great start to the tour. More...
Sweden's Darkwater has issued the following statement about canceling their appearance at the Brainstorm festival due to a health issue of guitarist Markus Sigfridsson:
"Unfortunately we have to cancel the show at Brainstorm festival. The reason for us canceling this so close in time to the festival is health/hearing related for Markus. He has been ordered by doctors and specialists to rest for a few months. We ask and hope for your understanding in this matter, we are truly sorry for this and we hope to see you another time soon."
Swedish death metal band Morbus Chron has announced the signing to Pulverised Records. the band is currently preparing to enter the studio to their debut album.
Pulverised Records label manager Roy Yeo comments, “I was amazed by MORBUS CHRON when I first heard them, it was almost unbelievable that the band is so young and they could capture the essence of the old Death Metal style. Influences like Autopsy and early Entombed are easily spotted in the songs, but there is just a certain fire and enthusiasm coming from MORBUS CHRON that cannot be described and we are very much looking forward to the debut album!” More...
