When it comes to naming some of music’s best bassists, who is it you think of? Bootsy Collins of Parliament-Funkadelic? Norman Watt-Roy of The Blockheads? The unsung legends such as James Jamerson? Personally, at least when it comes to metal, I believe it’s very hard to find a better bass player than Steve DiGiorgio, who first made his name with the thrash metal outfit Sadus.
Sadus was formed in Antioch, California in 1984 by DiGiorgio, vocalist Darren Travis, drummer Jon Allen and guitarist, Rob Moore, but was unable to record a demo tape until 1986, which came in the form of “D.T.P. (Death to Posers.)” Two tracks from the demo made their way to the Raging Death compilation album and with popularity steadily increasing, the group decided to self-finance a full length album, “Illusions,” with Metal Church guitarist John Marshall handling production duties.
The album found enough success underground to catch the attention of several record labels, with Roadrunner eventually being the company that snapped Sadus up. By 1990, the band had released second full length record, “Swallowed in Black,” which was able to break into the top fifty in Poland. Sadus expanded its profile further still by teaming up with Brazilian thrashers Sepultura and American death metal act Obituary for a tour of North America. The band followed this with the release of a third album, “A Vision of Misery,” in 1992. More...

Dublin five-piece black metal band Aeternum Vale has a video clip out for "Smash The Pillars," which is the first single from the band's debut album "Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges."
The new video clip for "Smash The Pillars" was filmed by Damien James O' Farrell & Brian Loughlin and can be seen below. The full album's track listing is:

Watford, UK-based hardcore crew The Hell gets assertive in a new music video for “Check This Out,” directed by Stuart Birchall (Bring Me the Horizon, Architects, Cradle of Filth).
The track appears on the band's Prosthetic Records debut “Groovehammer,” released earlier this year. Check it out below.

Newly formed Brazilian metal band North (not to be confused with the Arizona-based group of the same name) has a new demo track online for streaming titled "Inquisitors of Death," which is taken off the band's debut EP.

Michael Schenker will embark on a U.K. tour kicking off at Newcastle O2 Academy on Wednesday, December 10th. Special guest on all dates is the Bournemouth rock band, Western Sand.
Londoners will get a special treat when State Villains, featuring Michael’s son Tyson Schenker on guitar, will open the show at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on December 20th.
To get you in the mood, State Villains are offering fans a free MP3 of the song "Done Crawling" that can be downloaded at this location.

Reptilian Death released another guitar play through clip for a song taken off latest album "The Dawn Of Consummation And Emergence."

After 12 years, about a 100 live performances, and some serious line-up changes, Autere is finally letting out it's first full-length album. "Amal'l" is set for release on December 5th by Inverse Records, and the label comments:

Tijuanan forensic death grind band Thanatology has released its new video for the track "Verdugos Forenses," which is streaming below. The song comes from the recent split release "Thanatology vs Besta," which was just released on Negligent Records. Thanatology hosted a release party on Saturday, Nov. 29th for the split in Tijuana, featuring the other acts Bestias and Bio Crisis.
Due to last minute engagements of a few of the artists in the line-up, Metal All Stars will be rescheduling all European dates from November 30th – December 23rd, including the Brixton Academy concert on December 16th, to Spring 2015.
New tour dates in these cities will be announced shortly. Due to this unfortunate delay, the organizers will be adding additional headline artists to make the new line up even more metal for 2015.
Current ticket holders and purchasers of VIP Meet & Greet packages will have their tickets honoured for the new dates. More official information will be updated at the Metal All Stars website here.
The European trek was to feature Zakk Wylde, James LaBrie, Geoff Tate, Dave Ellefson, Joey Belladonna, and more.
After pre-production during the Summer months, Teramaze has issued the following update about officially entering the recording studio:
