Finland's Omnium Gatherum, which recruited a new bassist back in September, has posted the following brief message online about finishing work on an upcoming release:
"NEW ALBUM READY! The 6th OG album is finally 100% ready with mastering and artwork too, so soooooon you'll get more news about every lil' detail what's to come. Stay on the channel folks!"
The album was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound AB, and further details will be announced shortly. You can also find more info on Omnium Gatherum over at Facebook.
The Faceless has posted a teaser trailer online for the upcoming Ramon Boutviseth-directed "Deconsecrate" music video, which can be viewed below. Sumerian Records also commented: "Ready for it??? Here's a trailer for the first ever The Faceless music video. The full length can't come soon enough!!"
Germany's Dragonsfire will begin recording a new EP titled "Speed Demon" next month at Empire Studios. Recording updates from the studio will be posted online via the band's Facebook profile. The cover artwork can also be found below.
Frost Despair has revealed the cover artwork for the forthcoming album "Surreal," which can be viewed below. The artwork was created by Brazilian artist Marcelo Vasco (Dimmu Borgir, Keep of Kalessin, Dark Funeral, Chrome Division). Frost Despair frontman/composer/songwriter Odommok shares the following about the new album:
"We are more deep and extreme; 'Surreal' use elements of different kind of classic music but is completely different from our last album. We hope people listen to this with pleasure. Hails!"
Marcelo Vasco wrote his impressions about the cover artwork: "My intention creating the Frost Despair's cover art was to illustrate the concept of the album using elements of Surrealism, some chaotic stuff, bio-mechanic elements, nature and science in a bestial and psychological concept.

Italian act Swanshore has released a new music video online for "Modern Warfare," which can be viewed via AMP Magazine here or through the player below. The band's previously posted video "12.21.2012 (The World Ends)" is also still available online at this location.

Germany's rancid death metallers Deserted Fear have released a video for the song "Field of Death," off their debut album, "My Empire," which was released earlier this year by FDA Rekotz. Check out the video below. Influenced by the Death Metal spirit of the early 90s, Deserted Fear had "My Empire" mixed and mastered by Dan Swano at Unisound Studio.
After splitting with the band's longtime visual artist, Neurosis has this week disclosed details on new pending live actions across the country in support of "Honor Found In Decay."
Newly locked-down Neurosis performances are now set to take place late this year into the first week of 2013 in Atlanta, Los Angeles and Seattle, with tickets for all three shows set to go on sale this Friday, November 30th. Even more tour actions for the group will be announced in the days ahead.
Following a recent release show for "Honor Found In Decay" in Oakland, this week the collective has traversed the Atlantic for two special U.K. performances, at ATP’s Nightmare Before Christmas hosted by Steve Albini’s band Shellac, followed by a show in London with support from Godflesh.

A Pale Horse Named Death has confirmed a late spring 2013 release for the follow-up to debut album "And Hell Will Follow Me" via SPV Records. The band has once again commissioned famed artist Sam Shearon AKA Mister-Sam (Rob Zombie, Fear Factory, Rammstein) to create the artwork for the as yet untitled album.
Frontman Sal Abruscato gave an update on the album: "The sound has evolved and become a bit more orchestrated. More harmony work has been done on this album, including new elements such as a Hammond B3 organ and piano. To me the album has an even darker sound and feel than the first one."
He continued, "The new album is a natural progression in song writing and vocals yet keeping continuity with the first album musically and artistically. Fans of our first album will find all the traits they love melded with even bigger production and mastering. Ted Jensen of Sterling Sound will be mastering the album."

Spanish death metal band Decapitated Christ has signed with Metal Inquisition, a sublabel of No Colours Records, for the release of third recording, "The Perishing Empire of Lies."
The album was recorded in April 2012 by Javi Bastard at Moontower Studios (Korgüll the Exterminator, Graveyard, TeitanBlood, Ataraxy, Necroven) and consists of 12 tracks of pure old-school death metal (plus some unreleased tracks from the demo "The Vanishment").
It also features collaborations of two titans of the scene: Martin Van Drunen (Asphyx / Hail of Bullets / Grand Supreme Court Blood) and Pete Sandoval (Morbid Angel / Terrorizer), and has been mastered by Dan Swanö.
"The Perishing Empire of Lies" is scheduled to be released in February 2013, with artwork handled by illustrator Cesar Valladares. A preview clip is available below, and the previous demo "The Vanishment and Extermination of the Deities" can be heard and downloaded for free at Bandcamp. More...
Chicago’s Earthen Grave welcomes Chris Wozniak (Lair of the Minotaur), as the band’s new drummer, who is replacing previous member Scott Davidson.
Born and raised on the south side of Chicago, Chris "Woz" Wozniak has performed on drums in a variety of rock, folk, and metal bands for over 20 years. He has played with local acts Trifog and Blood of Martyrs, and is currently the drummer for national acts I Klatus and Lair of the Minotaur. In reference to LOTM’s 2008 release "War Metal Battle Master," Decibel Magazine described Woz as being "skilled at treating his drum kit like trash cans that must be killed." It’s this very intensity which made him the perfect fit for Chicago’s epic doom collective.
Bassist Ron Holzner will be guest DJing on Diane Farris' Peer Pressure segment of her radio program on WFMU today (Thursday, November 29th). Listeners will be able to ask Holzner questions via the live interactive playlist. Holzner's appearance is scheduled for 1:00pm - 2:30pm EST. WFMU can be heard on 91.1FM in NYC and East/Central NJ, 90.1FM in the Hudson Valley, Lower Catskills and Western NJ, and worldwide streaming on wfmu.org. An archive of this program will be permanently available by later Thursday evening.
Earthen Grave will also perform at the Double Door in Chicago this Friday, November 30th, and in June comes Days of The Doomed 3 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with additional live actions to be confirmed in 2013. Stay tuned.

After the release of debut album “Swallow the Earth” in 2011 and a year touring Europe alongside acts like Sybreed, French metallers Magoa are striking back with six brand new tracks of metal infused with a rock and roll energy to get you hooked. Influenced by bands like Dagoba, Mnemic, Textures, and Slipknot, Magoa strikes a strong balance between brutality, technicality and sincerity.
The "Animal" EP was recorded at the Hobby Shop Studios in Los Angeles with Magoa's long-time producer Charles "Kallaghan" Massabo and mastered by Andrew "Mudrock" Murdock. The release delivers a message of true freedom through metal, and all six songs can now be heard through the player below (the stream may take a moment to load after you hit "play"). Sludge squad Clamfight will deploy the latest in an arsenal of rifferey in the form of the quartet’s second full-length, "I Versus The Glacier," this coming January 22nd, 2013 via The Maple Forum, the official label imprint born of webzine The Obelisk.
"I Versus the Glacier" was recorded by Steve Poponi at Gradwell House Recording in Haddon Heights, New Jersey, and according to a press release, "magnifies the band’s signature blend of sludge, thrash, and doom."

Dying Humanity has posted a trailer online for an upcoming music video, which can be found below, and the band also commented:
"Here we have the official teaser for our brand new music video, 'Abused,' taken from the full-length album, 'Living on the Razor's Edge.' And don't forget our Advent calender starting this Sunday."
Having spent most of 2011/2012 touring around the world, Hundredth has now entered The Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO with producers Bill Stevenson (Rise Against, Black Flag) and Jason Livermore (Stick To Your Guns) to begin work on a double EP titled "Revolt / Resist."
The first of the two, "Revolt," is scheduled to be released in Spring of 2013 via Mediaskare Records. A limited vinyl release of the EPs will be made available via an exclusive partnership between Mediaskare and No Sleep Records. Speaking on the new music and double EP concept, vocalist Chadwick Johnson commented:
"We've been in transition since our last release, so we wanted a chance to explore before releasing another LP." Adding, "Elements of the band are still there, however it's less of a fusion and more of a distinct separation. I'm not going to throw a myriad of adjectives out, but it's a definite progression for us."

Swedish act Limbo has checked in with the following announcement about parting ways with the band's drummer:
"Hey everyone! We've got some sad and good news. As you might've noticed our page has been everything else but active the last few months because of many reasons.
"It is with great sadness that we must say goodbye to a beloved member of our awesome djent squad, and we all feel honored to have had this great opportunity to play and hang out with such a talent. We're wishing our badass drummer Adam Ekholm, all the best in the future and good luck with everything. You are the bäst!

Cypriot traditional metal act R.U.S.T. posted a new music video for the song "Metal Child." The song appears on the band's 2011 full length debut LP entitled "Forged In the Fire of Metal," which was self-released in July of 2011. The video was produced by Slayerbelial Productions.
"R.U.S.T. have been an active live band in the island of Cyprus the last years, with highlights their opening performances for legendary heavy metal bands such as OMEN, TOKYO BLADE, PAUL DI ANNO, MARAUDER, ROSS THE BOSS & SCOTT COLUMBUS . Copenhagen, Denmark based classic death metal act Deus Otiosus has uploaded the song "New Dawn" online, which can be heard in the player below. Footage has been posted online of Icelandic act Sólstafir performing "Fjara" live on KEXP from KEX Hostel in Reykjavik during Iceland Airwaves '12. The November 2nd, 2012 performance is available below. "Fjara" comes off the band's latest full-length album "Svartir Sandar" (reviewed here).

German melodic rock act Pink Cream 69 (which spawned current Helloween vocalist Andi Deris) unveiled the album artwork and track list for the band's eleventh studio album "Ceremonial." The cover artwork was created by Kai Brockschmidt (Pretty Maids/Royal Hunt). The album will be released on January 25th, 2013 via Frontiers Records.

Australian metal act Lord posted a new music video for the song "Because we Can." The song appears on the band's fourth LP "Digital Lies." The video was produced, directed and filmed by vocalist/guitarist Lord Tim, James Lopes and bassist Andy Dowling for A Dusk Music Video Production.
