Underground French label Kaotoxin records recently announced the addition of French-Bulgarian duet We All Die (Laughing) for the release of “Thoughtscanning” on January 14th, 2014.
We All Die (Laughing) consists of vocalist Arno Strobl and musician/composer Déhà. The duo got in touch with Metalunderground.com to explain how the project came together, what sort of sound will be happening on the release, and how it ended up being a single 33 minute song.
The two-some provided us with some true words of wisdom about creating an album (On writing the lyrics: "They did flow naturally like a pissing dog." On covering Amy Winehouse: "We made it more sexual-groove-doomish, and you just need to listen to Arno's voice to start moisting your pants.") Check out the full interview below. More...
Winterhymn has issued the following announcement about missing tonight's tour date:
"We regret to inform you that we will not be able to play the Alestorm show tonight. On our journey to Columbus, we were beset on all sides by goblin marauders. Despite Valthrun's skills in hand to hand combat and Alvadar's attempts to appeal to the bandits' carnal lusts, they made off with our trailer tire.
"We apologize to everyone who came to see us and to CEG, and thank you all for your understanding and hope to see you soon. Have a swashbuckling night!"

A389 Recordings today proclaims their new liaison with Arkansas-based underlords Napalm Christ. The label comments:
"Formed in late 2010, Napalm Christ unites a crew of longtime henchmen who have helped shape the Little Rock area extreme music scene over the past two or more decades. Since the early 1990s, the four horsemen who form Napalm Christ have collectively spent time at war with the mainstream in Rwake, Shredding Corpse, Pale Unearthed, Shitfire, Witch's Tit and others. In this cult they unify their hateful ways and debauchery-ridden tactics into a volatile brew of charged-up, doom/grind-influenced death metal, reeking of days past, yet with enough potency to give fair warning of much darker days to come.
"Initiated as a side-project, things got out of control, and Napalm Christ began infecting the planet with recorded material, thus far accumulated in a series of random online demos, singles and comp inclusions. The latter of said demos was released via Bandcamp in June 2013, and that's when A389 caught a whiff of the band's trail.
"Recorded by Alan Wells with assistance from Keith Bracy in Little Rock, and mastered by Collin Jordan at Boiler Room Mastering in Chicago, and masked with illustrations by Dennis Lee Hughes, A389 will manifest this half-hour of disturbing anthems into an official 12" vinyl release, followed by their debut LP later in the year. Exact street dates on both pending releases will be announced in the coming weeks. For now stream the entire 2013 demo below."

Groove metal outfit BornBroken is proud announce the band will be supporting this year's third annual benefit show Rock The Cause on December 7th at Le Pionnier, with proceeds donated to The Montreal Children's Hospital.
The band will be joined by Melting Point, One Night Stand, Monkey Bones and Your What's Itchy. BornBroken guitarist Mike Decker comments:
"BornBroken is always happy and very humbled to play and be able to give back not only to people in need, but to help out sick children who do not or may not have the same opportunities that we were blessed with. We've all had hard lives (probably mostly self inflicted), but never ever as hard as these kids have or will have, so when we were given the chance to play the Rock The Cause III show benefiting The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation, we jumped on the chance to dawn on wings instead of horns for a night.
"Steve Hart and his family, friends have been amazing in taking time out of their lives to put on benefit shows for different charities. There will also be a non perishable donation box for the local food bank On Rock Community Services that Percy Hart 'Your What's Itchy' is also doing. So please look in your cupboard and grab a can of something you would usually eat and bring it on down for someone who may not get the luxury. More...
It’s a new chapter for the New Jersey based melodic metal outfit Julius Seizure, as the band announces open try outs for a full time, professional vocalist. The band’s former vocalist Charles Corletta departed earlier this month.
Do you have what it takes to become Julius Seizure’s new vocalist? Send submissions to email@example.com. The band also comments:
“The four original members of Julius Seizure need to add the fifth member to the machine. What we are looking for is quite simple: a talented, humble, hard-working vocalist with a range encompassing melodic and aggressive styles. Prospective vocalists are stepping into a great situation, where they will be able to record and perform immediately. No one in the band is interested in nonsense— bring your lunch and come ready to work. Show up to every practice, do a great job, and let’s tour the Earth. Julius Seizure is a professional band, and we need a vocalist to be on that level.”
Bassist Brian Daniel commented regarding Corletta’s departure: “Charlie is a great friend, and it is never an easy thing when somebody you have worked so closely with for years has chosen to part ways. We wish Charlie only the best in his future endeavors.”
Drummer Kyle Wilson added, “We are not letting his departure slow us down. Julius Seizure will continue to fulfil our commitments to our current schedule while looking for a permanent vocalist. Our number one goal now is to continue to play shows and tour in support of our EP ‘Trials.'” More...

U.K. outfit Merciless Terror has posted the following message online about going on hiatus:
"It has been mutually decided that Merciless Terror are on hiatus from activities including live shows and recordings with immediate effect.
"It has not been an easy decision, especially with all of the great moments in the bands career so far. However we feel that we have a great relationship with our fans so we will be upfront and honest with you as to why we have come to this decision...
“Merciless Terror has been going for nearly half a decade now. This year with no doubt has been the most eventful year. However, The last couple of months have been a struggle to keep everything together as a band and overall, In all brutal honesty the fire has burnt out as of late.
"This of course has come at an unfortunate time for our new boy Luke, which I would like to personally thank for giving 100% of his Conviction and passion into the band regardless of all the hurdles we have faced this year. And most importantly for the fun we’ve had sharing the stage with him. I know that Luke and the rest of the lads will use their hunger and passion to get where they desire to be in life and their musical career with or without Merciless terror, and of course it would not be fair on these great musicians and our fans for us to continue the band under any false pretenses for the time being.
"We would like to thank Devils Clause Records for showing faith in us, for all of the background work and for releasing 'Vile Extinction.' Also all of the promoters, reviewers, bookers, magazines and tour drivers for being nothing but help to our cause. Without a doubt our biggest thank you goes to our fans all over the world. We are truly honoured to call many of you friends as well as fans. THANK YOU. We hope that we have left you with a fantastic parting gift in 'Vile Extinction.'
"This is by no means 'The End.' This is just a well needed break for the band until further notice.
Keep checking back for updates on our Facebook page for new projects involving members of Merciless Terror." More...
