Norwegian act Pantheon I is currently working on new album "Adversus Relgionem," and the band has now posted a video diary online showcasing the drum recording process.
Check out the video below, and look out for more studio clips coming from Pantheon I soon. Further details on the follow-up to 2009's "Worlds I Create" will be announced as they become available from the band.
Avantasia, which entered the studio back in October, has now announced an upcoming headlining tour kicking off in April, 2013. The trek is also slated to include summer festivals and shows in South America and Asia. Tobias Sammet comments:
"I know I once said we weren't gonna do it again, but then I don‘t see a reason to let this die. I wanna put on the biggest thing you have ever seen, I wanna bring more vocalists, play longer shows, and just make it a giant Rock Opera. I love to headline festivals, you run over people in 90 minutes and kick ass. But I also like to do our own Avantasia indoor tour because we can make it much more Avantasia oriented and play almost three hours without caring about anything else but Avantasia.
"So we said, we have to do a giant indoor tour as well, and it's going to happen in April. I am so looking forward to it. The stage designer has just showed me his stage and light design, and it looks absolutely killer. It will be huge. 2013 will be a major year for Avantasia, and people don't have a clue how big things are actually going to be! I am very excited - the album will be amazingly epic, and the tour will be too!"
Tour dates will be announced soon through the Tobias Sammet official website.
Norwegian act Svarthaueg has announced the band will begin recording debut full-length album "Drakonisk Magi" this coming December. Further details on that upcoming album's release will be revealed as they are made available.
You can also check out the previously posted song "Balam" in the player below, or find more music from Svarthaueg over at MySpace here.
Australian act TheDevilzWork has posted a video clip online for the song "Monochrome," which can be viewed below and comes off the "Floodlights" release. The band also commented:
"I'd like to say that that this video was filmed beneath the Kali Moon of the spring equinox invoking some pretentious bullshit...
"But as it happened, the band footage for Monochrome was filmed when chance may have it we were all together in the same room - which due to geographic isolation, isn't always possible.
"And so with frostbite steeling in and diseases unchecked, we banged are heads and posed and posed till we could pose no more... And so the following clip was shit not born into existence...
"So unzip and enjoy.."
Canberra based death metal band Inhuman Remnants will be releasing the new EP "Anathema" via Eschatonic Records this coming December 1st, 2012. A teaser trailer for the release is now available below.

Seattle's Ancient Wind has posted the song "Northern Conquest" online, which can be heard below and comes off the "Blackened Battle Metal" EP. Ancient Wind also recently posted the following message online about working on new material:
"Guess we'll have to cut a full length soon, we have no where to put all these songs. Currently working on our darkest and heaviest cut yet, with 4 new ones on deck. Some lyrics to the new track to spice up your holidays, happy Thanksgiving turkey fuckers. 'Casting my weapons aside, I stand unclothed and bare. Branches rip the skin as my cries fill the air. Cursing all faiths and gods, Paradise means nothing to me. If redemption held out its hand, I'd cast it into the sea.'"
The fifth studio album from Russian act Stigmatic Chorus will be titled "Fanatic" and contains nine tracks of symphonic black metal madness from the very depths of the dark abyss. The concept of the album, written by Dan Sein and Demether Grail, tells the bloody events of old, when American town Nauvoo was plunged into darkness and filled with atmosphere of aggression and religious fanaticism.
"Fanatic" is due for release on December 2nd, and the new song "Riot of the Fools" can now be heard below. Cover artwork was handled by Alexander Tarcus and the album includes special guests Natalia Terekhova (Dark Princess) and Demether (Arcane Grail). Recording took place in Arsafes Studio under the guidance of Roman Arsafes (Kartikeya). More...
Nothnegal recently began recording the follow-up to the band's debut full-length "Decadence" (reviewed here), and now the group has checked in with the following recording update:
"Hello! Three days of work done! DAY 1 Matt and Shamheed listened to the demos which we have been working on for the past 2 months before entering Vakaruge Studios and we did the basic setup of the guitar rigs. We worked on the basic structures and arrangements of 2 of the songs and got a bit familiar with the sound we were looking for.
"DAY 2 we worked on 2 more songs which were slightly different from the previous songs we worked on (which were a bit heavier, the latter being slower).
"DAY 3 Affan (who was unable to join us in the previous 2 sessions) joined us for this session and we worked on 2 more songs, Affan tried a couple of vocal melodies on the songs we had already worked on just so we got some kind of an idea on how the end result might sound like. So after working for close to 6 hours today, time for a break!"
Photos from the new album's recording sessions can also be seen online at the Nothnegal website here.
