No More Fear To Release New Album

Italian death metallers No More Fear will release their third album "Mad(e) In Italy" via Coroner Records on December 3rd, 2012. The band comments:

"With Mad(e) in Italy we wanted to move on a different direction, looking way more carefully to our Country, its sounds and its culture, which is more or less consciously mafia inspired. The world is made up of cliches and every country is mostly represented through a particular iconography, in our case the infamous triptych 'pizza, Mafia and mandolin.' We started from this to breathe life to our new record, which blends the violence of death metal with the beauty of the mandolin... The result is singular at least! New italian death metal family coming."

More info on the band can be found over at Facebook here. The album's track listing is:

1. 150 Years
2. Taranthell
3. Ass E Mazz
4. Cemento Armato
5. Intrigues, Scams And Magnificent Horror
6. Don Gaetano
7. Southern Spirit

Car Bomb Announces New Shows

New York tech metal contortionists Car Bomb will take their instrumental acrobatics to the stages of Brooklyn this holiday weekend. The festivities commence with an unofficial CD release party at the Knitting Factory on November 24th. On the following night the band will ravage the stage of Saint Vitus alongside New York death metal titans Suffocation. Additionally, the band will appear at The Studio at Webster Hall in Manhattan for a pre-New Years blowout with Resolution15.

This weekend’s shows mark the first performances for the Long Island natives since Hurricane Sandy destroyed their studio located at The South Sound music complex new the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn.

Said the band in a collective statement: “We are deeply saddened not only by our own losses but the losses incurred by all of our friends at The South Sound. The total destruction that occurred at The South Sound was both devastating and incomprehensible. Gear that had taken a lifetime to acquire was destroyed in a matter of hours. As tragic as the events of Hurricane Sandy were, we were relieved to learn that no one affiliated with The South Sound was injured and that the losses were simply financial -- along with some blood, sweat, and tears on the part of the guys running the place. We know how much time and effort those guys put into making The South Sound a great place for musicians to do their thing and we truly feel for their loss. This Thanksgiving, CAR BOMB is thankful that we all survived the events of Hurricane Sandy, as did our family and our friends. Everything else is replaceable.”

11/24/2012 The Knitting Factory – Brooklyn, NY w/ Ashes Within
11/25/2012 Saint Vitus – Brooklyn, NY w/ Suffocation
12/29/2012 Webster Hall – New York, NY w/ Resolution15

Car Bomb's new album "w^w^^w^w" was self-released earlier this year and is currently streaming online via Bandcamp here.

In Virtue Comments On Music Piracy

Guitarist Trey Xavier of California power metal act In Virtue has posted the following statement online regarding the piracy of music:

"Without judgement on anyone else, I have decided that I will no longer be bootlegging or pirating music at all.

"The reason the music world is full of successful Justin Biebers and broke metal bands is that people vote with their money, and the only people who are voting are 12 year old girls with their iTunes gift cards and daddy's credit cards.

"You can do whatever you want, and I won't say shit, but for me, from here on out, I will eat only what I kill."

You can also check out a guitar playthrough video featuring Trey playing the song "Witch Hunt" in the player below. More...
