The Devil's Blood mastermind Selim Lemouchi is pleased to enter a brand new chapter of sonic exploration with Selim Lemouchi & His Enemies and debut release "Earth Air Spirit Water Fire." The following press release was issued about the album:
"Recorded, mixed and mastered in part by Pieter G. Kloos, the offering, written by Lemouchi alongside his new sparring partner and old friend Robby Geerings had, even before its conceptualization, shown itself to be a creature of a different nature altogether.
"Each one of the five tracks which comprise its unity seemed a galaxy away from any of the others. Each of their unique structures, stylistic leanings and lyrical content diverged significantly from the rest. Diverging from the same source though and seemingly returning to that same source as well.
"The emotions of the Madman; depression, desire, demurity, decadence and determination had seemed to veer out from the same point of origin and had found each other in that oft spoken of but rarely understood concept of completion; initiation. For the first time, Lemouchi brought together a bright and burning throng of people into the fold of his inspiration.
"Not telling anyone what exactly to do, not deciding this way or the other beforehand and not taking back any of his decisions once they were made, he ventured into what was for him the most adventurous recording session of his life.
"With four drummers, a handful of guitar players, a few synthesizer players, several vocalists, a great cover artist and many, many hours that were filled with laughter, tears, anger and spiritual communion as well as communication of the more direct kind, he brought the 5(x5x5x5x5x5x5x5x5x5x5x5x5) dimensions of the pentacle, the pentagram and the pentagon into the flesh as he perceived, understood and accepted them. Following a colossal three year-long writing and pre-production process, New Jersey's instrumental freak attack trio, El Drugstore, has put the final touches on a new full-length.
Devised by the corrupted intellect of guitarist Kevin Conway (ex-East of the Wall), drummer Seth Rheam (East of the Wall), and bassist Rolando Alvarado, Keyport, New Jersey-based El Drugstore has been discharging mangled, aggro-technical metallic racket since 2008.
The band's debut recording, a split full-length with cohorts A Fucking Elephant, marked the inauguration of their conjoined independent label, Nefarious Industries in 2011.
With over forty-five minutes of bombast, El Drugstore is at full-mast on this debut full-length, "Plague Ship." The album was tracked at parts unknown by the band and cohort Chris Alfano (East of the Wall, Argonauts), and mixed and mastered by Kevin Antreassian at Backroom Studios.
The "Plague Ship" will set sail December 31st via Nefarious Industries, initially as a digital-only release, yet plans for it to manifest itself in the physical form are being drawn.
With its official worldwide release now less than a week away, today Metal Injection offers up a full stream of the self-titled new full-length from Brooklyn noise rock brigade, Tidal Arms. Check out the full stream below.
Boasting ten tracks of gristly soundscapes and tranquilizing discordance, "Tidal Arms" was self-produced and mixed by guitarist/vocalist Tom Tierney and Alex Mead-Fox at the band's own Spaceman Sound in Greenpoint. It was mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, Torche, The Dillinger Escape Plan etc.) at West West Side Music.
Notes Tierney of the effort, "This record is more of everything we like about playing music together. It's heavier, spacier, more cathartic and more confusing than anything we've done before. A year of hard work went into the creation of this record, and it's the best music we've ever written. We're psyched to hit the road in 2014 and pound the pavement with these new tunes!"

Kaotoxin records is very proud to announce the addition of French-Bulgarian duet We All Die (Laughing), which features vocalist-extraordinaire Arno Strobl (Carnival In Coal, 6:33) and multi-talented musician and composer Déhà (C.O.A.G., Maladie).
We at Metalunderground are equally proud to be bringing you the U.S. exclusive premiere of the news, along with a teaser trailer announcing the collaboration that can be seen below.
The band was first featured on the title track for label-mates Eye of Solitude‘s digital EP “The Deceit," and will unleash its own debut full-length, titled “Thoughtscanning,” through Kaotoxin on January 14th, 2014.
“Thoughtscanning” marks the return of Arno Strobl to a band of his very own since the demise of Carnival In Coal more than half a decade ago. Arno has been guesting on various projects since then, including his collaboration with France’s 6:33 for the 2013 full-length, “The Stench From The Swelling.”
But We All Die (Laughing) is his very own thing, a vehicle to express dark emotions and feelings and showcase the real him, far away from all of his previous performances, while still displaying how varied his vocal talents are, ranging from crooner-like singing to deep death metal like growls: a trademark is recognized for.
He comments: “Thoughtscanning has been the meeting of three different goals. First, working with Déhà, of course. We really felt we had to record something together. Then getting rid of that 'funny singer' sticker I got through my previous musical works. Last but not least: writing about depression, which was an emergency, and a matter of life and death."
Déhà, the man behind the 33 minute long concept that’s “Thoughtscan,” the only track on “Thoughtscanning,” is a gifted Stakhanovite musician and songwriter, already signed to Kaotoxin records with his own-man dark grindcore project, C.O.A.G.
Besides We All Die (Laughing) and C.O.A.G., he’s also involved in a dozen active projects, including the likes of Imber Luminis, Merda Mundi, Yhdarl, Clouds, and many more. Kaotoxin issued the following statement: More...

Empyrios, which was covered in our look at melodic metal bands earlier this year, has now released a hallucinogenic/seizure inducing video clip for the song "Domino." Check it out below, and the band also comments:
"We're stoked to unveil the video of 'Domino,' out of our latest album 'Zion!' In support of this release, our own vocalist Silvio Mancini has put together a visual using footage from one of his audio-video installations.
"Even though it looks like a puddle of vomited Brancamenta®, this is a resonance experiment using fluorescent dust, a projector and sounds at selected frequencies played through a speaker.
"This is not meant to be a music video, it's an auxiliary visual experience. And quite an hallucinogenic one, may we add. Take a deep breath, set it to full screen/HD, enjoy the ride and share it with the world! Viewer discretion is advised." More...
