In a recent message on his official website, Burzum mastermind Varg Vikernes has spoken with regards to the recent accusations of racism and homophobia he has received after his last update, as well as Burzum's forthcoming new album, "The White God." His latest message reads as follows:
"When I speak through www.burzum.org I always imagine that I speak only to Burzum fans. If not a Burzum fan, why would you visit this site? Judging from the response to the A Burzum Story: Part X - The White God, this is not the case. Or maybe it is, in which case I have a whole lot of fans in the media.
"When these apparent Burzum fans in the media report the news that Burzum will release another album, the reaction is kind of weird. Most of them have been honourable enough to both print the whole article, or at least most of it, and tell their readers where they got the news from. This is correct and lawful journalism, when dealing with copyrighted material. Hurray to you for that. More...

"A very special thanks to our crew who looked after all three bands, keeping it all on time. It can be a nightmare if things don’t run smooth on tour.
"OK, RiffKing - we will announce the top five winners and there prizes next week - one a week until we get to number 1.
"We are starting writing songs for the next album next week. Also mixing all the live recordings.. Heavy Metal Thunder - The Movie, Wacken 2004, 2007, 2009 and Sheffield. Also listening to old recordings and mixing them. More...

Former Iron Maiden front man and solo artist Paul Di'Anno has issued the following statement about canceled European tour dates:
"On behalf of myself and the tour promoter and the two touring bands and tour manager. This is a statement concerning the cancellation of some shows at the end of the Eastern European tour. Due to extreme flu sickness of my band, myself, the tour promoter and tour manager (and our support band who were traveling on the tour bus with us) it was just impossible for the tour to be completed.
"We would like to apologize to all of our fans and the various promoters involved and we shall find a way (when we are all well again) to re-schedule those dates that were canceled. Very sorry for this unfortunate situation, but it was something that we had no way of controlling this."
Guitarist Ralf of Dutch metallers Persistense has issued the following statement about their show last night:
"Damn...after some great shows the last couple of weeks we did another gig last night. That gig definitely will be remembered as our worst show ever! Everything that could go wrong, actually did go wrong...and pretty bad too! When we entered the stage we found out that there were no cymbalstandards anymore. The first band of the evening had already gone home and took all their cymbalstandards with them! The result was we had to wait for half an hour for some new standards to arrive.
"Finally we could start off. We always begin our shows with an intro which is played on a cd player. Unfortunately the sound engineer must have fallen asleep cause after the intro he forgot to hit the 'stop' button. That didn't sound very pretty cause we already took off with our first song. Result; Chaos all over the place!
"Normally such things doesn't matter. We get over it pretty quickly and give our best. However, due to the really bad sound on stage we never got into our playing. Personally I didn't hear shit and I fucked up big time! Made some incomprehensible mistakes which I never made before and half way the show I felt like a sack of shit trying to play the guitar ;-) Lucky for me I'm long haired so I could cover my face ;-) Still we really tried to make the best out of it but yesterday it just didn't pay off. Sometimes everyone just has a complete off day! Next time we strike back!!!"
California death metallers Reciprocal have issued the following recap of their record release show:
"First off, thank you to all the fans who came out to support. You guys all helped make it a memorable night in the Reciprocal story. The show was fucking awesome. On a night with Dethklok playing just minutes away, Municipal Waste playing a block away, and a free metal/porn show across the street at Hustler, we expected it to be dead. But you the FANS delivered and packed the place. Thanks again to everyone who came out.
"All the local opener bands were bad ass. Enthraller ripped it up. Abysmal Dawn and Vehemence were fuckin sick. Thanks to Charles from AD for getting us on the show. The only bad part of the night was the crooks at the Whisky taking money from the bands for their merch sales, FUCK THEM! Overall it was truly a night to remember."
Reciprocal's self-titled album was released on November 19th.

"After more than 15,000 miles, 8 stitches, and countless beers... we're back from tour. We've had a few days to chill out and finally face the hangover that 60 days of partying kept putting off. Now, a huge thank you is in order: It was an unforgettable experience. Seeing the Canadian Rockies..... that was a first......seeing 3/5 of The Black Dahlia Murder Naked.........well.....we never wanted that to happen. But I suppose you take the good with the bad!
"Thanks to Children of Bodom, The Black Dahlia Murder, Toxic Holocaust, Trap Them, and all of the crew. We had an absolutely killer time and every single person involved couldn't have been cooler. Thanks brothers! Most importantly we would like to thank everyone who came out to the shows and partied with us! Without YOU we could not do this. (And trust me....we're really fucked if we can't do this! It's all we know!) The support is massively and genuinely appreciated. Thanks for the good times and we hope to see you on the road again soon.
"Up next is European decimation w/ Toxic Holocaust and Goatwhore! Fucking stoked!!"
