Italy's Camion has launched a new music video for the "Here Comes the Cadillac" track, which is now available online. You can check out the clip below, or head over to Camion's Facebook profile here for more details on the band.
"Whisper," the new album from Chicago metallers Dark Spectrum, is now available for streaming in full at the band's official YouTube page here. The CD was recorded at Apothica Studios in Batavia, Illinois. Joe Tiberi of Mechina once again handled production and recording duties, as well as the mixing and mastering.
The track listing is as follows:
2. The Soil Is Shour
3. Perplexed In Chaos
5. Blood Of The Lambs
Commented Dark Spectrum bassist Thatcher Markham: "The Whisper album has been played in full at most of our shows in 2011, but aside from the listening party we had for it at The Exit, this is the first time people can really hear the songs the way they were meant to be heard with the keyboards, chants, and especially the harmonies Dennis recorded for his solos. I always liked that fact just so that you get two different experiences, the live performances being kept very straight forward, and then you hear the album and have a totally new experience and feel of it.
"From the Hypocrisy inspired keyboards in Blood Of The Lambs to the Bulgarian chant in the middle of Whisper, I truly feel every note has a place and reason on this album. The magic that went down in that studio from the second we heard the Bulgarian chant in Whisper, it was so powerful and added so much to the song in a short period of time, its just too much and too unbelievable to me still.
"To anyone that hears this, I hope you enjoy it and thank you for checking it out."
Australian act From Within The Abyss will be recording a new EP with an estimated eight tracks, after which the band wil head for a string of live shows during the first half of 2012.

Commented guitarist Trevor Peres, "The shows so far have been going awesome. We're set to tear up New York City!"

11/19/2011 Santos Party House - New York, NY
11/20/2011 The Casbah/Tremont Music Hall - Charlotte, NC
11/21/2011 The Archive - Atlanta, GA
The band also commented on tonight's show being cancelled:
"Tonight's show in Greensburg, Pennsylvania has been canceled due to the 42nd Street Rock House being shut down by a court order that was signed by the judge ... today. This was ordered by court because the club owner owes $20,636.73 to the owner of the building. Obituary is completely sorry for the cancellation, but it is out of their control. If you bought advance tickets from the opening bands, please contact them directly for your refund. If you bought advance tickets directly from the club, it is out of our hands, we apologize. Tomorrow night at 8:45 pm eastern standard time, you can watch, for free, the live webcast from New York City of Obituary's concert. Go to this location for more details. Again, our apologies for the uncontrollable situation in Greensburg"

Adult Swim and etnies, the skateboarder-owned and operated global action sports footwear and apparel company, have teamed up to create all new Adult Swim-branded skateboard shoes, t-shirts, and backpacks. Inspired by some of the network’s most popular characters from its original series, and a few select pieces based on Metalocalypse, these products were designed by Adult Swim designers and will be available for sale at the Adult Swim Shop and the etnies online store for the Holiday season.
Featured in the line are some Metalolcalypse-inspired items including two t-shirts ($24 each), a backpack ($60) and shoes, as well as an Adult Swim-branded t-shirt ($24) and backpack ($60). You can check out a photo of the shoes below.
“Finding the right partner for collaborations with Adult Swim is as important to us as making great product that our fans will love,” said Pete Yoder, vice president of consumer products for Cartoon Network Enterprises, the licensing and merchandising arm of Adult Swim. “etnies is a great partner that really understands and embraces the creativity and unique tone of our brands and characters, and this new line of products builds on what our first collaboration started.”
“etnies and Adult Swim both have similar irreverent and creative attitudes that made the brands’ first collaboration a success, and led us to partner on a second collaboration,” said Tucker Gerrick, etnies Sr. marketing manager. “etnies core is in skateboarding, and I know of a few skateboarders that can identify with the way Adult Swim’s Metalocalypse leaves a trail of mayhem everywhere the band goes.” More...

Start a Fire is currently recording a new EP, and the band has now checked in from the studio with the following update:
"There was me, that is Christian, and my three droogs, that is Amandus, Georgie, and Dim, and we sat in the Korova Milkbar trying to make up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. The Korova milkbar sold milk-plus, milk plus vellocet or synthemesc or drencrom, which is what we were drinking. This would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of the old ultra-violence.
"The hard knocks on my bedroom door woke me up from my dreams and a thundering voice hauled me out of my bed like a fresh caught mackerel. 'We leave in 30 minutes!' I leaped out of my bed and into a pair of jeans ready to start day 2 in the studio. And through the morning mist we headed for Kinna.
"About an hour later I found myself sipping a cup of coffee while Amandus finished the drums to the last 2 songs. Now our destiny and mixing is resting on the skilled shoulders of Christian at Studio Haga. Time for a weekend break and back into the studio on Monday to start working on guitars and bass. You know you're a cut little heart-breaker..... Foxy....."

Vengeful has issued the following announcement about streaming a Morbid Angel cover song online:
"It's been awhile since you've heard from us. Here we are like promised with a cover song of one of the many classic cuts from Morbid Angel's Covenant album. You can hear it on our Myspace page.
"Morbid Angel was one of the main inspirations behind Vengeful's sound when we first started in 2003. Not necessarily on the musical style or song structures but in the vibe/mood that we wanted to achieve with the music. Something moody and vicious at the same time. Sheer power and negative emotion expressed through brutality and speed.
"The Vengeful version of the song features our lead guitarist (Emmanuel Pronovost) on vocals. This is our tribute to one of the greatest death metal bands of our time."
Vengeful also recently posted the cover artwork online for the band's new self-titled album, which can be found at this location.

Vader is currently on the "Sign of Hell" tour with Gorgoroth, and the band has now checked in with the following tour blog:
"If you read our previous reports from shows in England, you would probably know what to expect from Bristol. In fact, not much changed, except for the name of a club and its size. Again – great turnover, many Polish people coming to see us and the show itself went, as usually, according to the plan.
"No accidents, some minor technical problems which are unavoidable – like for example a fan jumping on stage and switching off Peter’s or Spider’s guitar effects what results in Vader giving an unplugged show ;-)
"This time instead of The Sickening we had a local support which I didn’t have a chance to see as I was writing tour reports. Valkyrja, typically, gave a smashing show. One can tell at once that they put a lot of passion in their performance and music is what counts most for them! Gorgoroth gave their show staying at their usual level as well.
"After the gig we got back to the nightliner to have a well-deserved beer and go straight to bed. The next day would be the last show on the English land – Plymouth. We need to be at our best!"
You can also check out photos from the tour by heading over to the Vader Facebook profile here.
Bay Area death metal pioneer Autopsy has completed recording and re-mastering work on the upcoming, "All Tomorrow's Funerals," due out February 28th on Peaceville Records. This monstrous release will contain all of Autopsy's EP's re-mastered by the band, as well as new cuts, totaling 22 tracks all together.
Everything from "Retribution For The Dead" to the now sold-out, "The Tomb Within" will be presented on CD and DLP with all original artworks, liner notes from the band and new cover art from renowned artist, Matt Cavotta.
Said the band, "Well, we've finished recording a few new tracks for the upcoming collection album All Tomorrow's Funerals, and they came out brutal and heavy as hell. Along with the newly written songs, we did a revamped version of 'Mauled To Death,' which is the very last of the old songs that needed a proper album quality recording. This album will also contain all four EP's, all of which are out of print, as well as a compilation track from 1991, so the grand total is 22 tracks. It's something we've wanted to do for quite awhile, getting all the loose chunks together in one place rather than having them split up and added on as bonus tracks here and there. Everything has been painstakingly re-mastered with the band's guidance and sounds better and more crushing than ever. And don't worry, we didn't get carried away and ruin anything! Combine all that with killer new cover art from Matt Cavotta and we've got one hell of release in the works. Look for it in February 2012.
"We are now working on all new material for the next album, due out late 2012/early 2013 and we can definitely promise more of what you would expect from Autopsy. There will be no compromise and no holding back. If you want 100% pure death metal brutality, you will certainly get it."
Autopsy triumphantly and officially returned from the grave after a 15-year hiatus with the 2010 EP, "The Tomb Within." The band then released its fifth full-length, and first since 1995, "Macabre Eternal," earlier this year.
Katatonia has checked in with the following announcement about an Easter egg in the newly released "Skyrim" video game containing references to the band:
"Now why would we post a link to a video game? Well, read on, this is quite amusing....
"During the quest Darkness Returns, you can recover Nystrom's Journal, which is a reference to Anders Nystrom, guitarist and songwriter from Swedish heavy metal band Katatonia.
"The terms in the last paragraph: 'He also mumbled some nonsensical phrases like 'night is the new day' and how he was the 'ghost of the sun.' I have no idea what these cryptic sentiments mean, but hopefully during tomorrow's ritual, Anders and I will put everything we've learned to the test.' are references to multiple Katatonia albums and songs - the most obvious being the album Night is the New Day and the song 'Ghost of the Sun' from the album Viva Emptiness.
"When completing this quest, the player jumps into a hole. In the hole is a skeleton containing 'Ander's Note.'" More...

6. No Friend (2011)
Even though Hirax came out of the same Los Angeles, and San Francisco Bay Area thrash scene as Slayer, Megadeth and Metallica, the group has always flown well below those thrash Titan’s radar. Hirax is an essential part of thrash history. Brian Slagel saw their worth and released the group’s first two records, “Raging Violence” (1985) and “Hate, Fear and Power” (1986) to his budding Metal Blade label.
Hirax never became a household name like their friends in Metallica and Slayer because, in part, their 1986 release would be their last full-length recording until 2004. The group split in the late ‘80s, during the golden years of thrash, and returned in the late nineties. Since 2005, Hirax welcomed its most stable lineup and has spent those last few years inciting pits around the globe. The group is still pushing its 2009 release “El Rostro de la Muerte,” a speedy, Slayer-esque release, but is pushing forward with an upcoming album and record contract.
Original vocalist, Katon W. de Pena spoke with Metal Underground concerning these new developments. After having just unloaded his suitcase from a tour in Poland, the purveyor of true metal opined on playing the group’s first appearance in Texas at The Goregrowler’s Ball and the group’s recent business developments. He also flashed back to the early days of thrash metal. Hirax is at the top of its game. Read on and see why de Pena believes this is so. More...

Ancient Antarctic metal marauders GWAR will carry on with their plans to tour Europe in January 2012, despite the recent death of guitarist Cory Smoot, during the bands "Return of the World Maggot Tour."
Said GWAR spokesman Dave Brockie a.k.a. Oderus Urungus-- "When Cory died, we all wanted to go home and take care of the family and our own grief. But the best way to do that is by playing all the shows we have planned. The response from the U.S. metal community and especially the whole international GWAR family has been overwhelmingly supportive...these GWAR fans need the chance to pay their respects to Cory, and cancelling any shows would deprive them of that.
"Let's make these shows a celebration of Cory Smoot, one of the most amazing players in metal...I am calling on the European GWAR family to get out there and drag everybody in sight to these gigs! We shall honor Flattus Maximus in the only way we know how...by rocking the fuck out!!!"
The Smoots, GWAR, and Metal Blade Records have created the "Smoot Family Fund," and GWAR and Slave Pit are calling on the metal community to support Cory's family in this tragic time. Donations can be made here.
"C'mon everybody from our rock star buddies to the most zit-covered bohab," said Brockie. "Cory had a growing family that is going to need help-for a long time. Of course GWAR is doing everything we can, and we need you to help as well."

The press release from Napalm reads:
"Following their strong and uncompromising debut 'Until We Are Outnumbered', the Danish thrash metal machine revolving around vocalist Jacob Bredahl finally present their anxiously awaited follow-up. From the get-go, 'Facing the Imminent Prospect of Death' continues to deliver the band's characteristic vigor and intensity. Songs like 'Total War', 'Let the Maggots Have It', and 'Fucked in the Search for Life' speak a stern language dominated by heavy riffs and all-destroying grooves sure to cause more than one case of whiplash. The band's sound also includes death and hardcore elements that give the album a newfound energy. The recording, mixing, and mastering were personally overseen by Jacob Bredahl himself. His expertise is apparent in the resulting release. 'Facing the Imminent Prospect of Death' is a brutal riff rapid-fire barrage to be most enthusiastically received in the mosh pit!"

Last Friday Axl Rose (Guns N’ Roses) sat down with the crew from VH1’s That Metal Show and discussed lawsuits, Chinese Democracy, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. For full-length studio release number eight, Brazilian death metal trio Krisiun has changed up the formula and brought influences from the classic metal masters to bear in "The Great Execution." After a series of demos, splits, and EP's, the Canadian death metal cult known as Antediluvian has finally unleashed a debut full-length album titled "Through The Cervix Of Hawwah" through Profound Lore in North America and via Invictus Productions in Europe. An MP3 of the track "Scions Of Ha Nachash (Spectre Of The Burning Valley)" is now available online and can be heard at this location.
Profound Lore commented on the band:
"Abhorred blasphemous death metal from the very depths, ANTEDILUVIAN creates a bizarre conjuration of raw cavernous progressive atmospheric death metal that envelopes a miasma-like fury that summons inevitable ominous chaos. Through the ritualistic-like crawling rhythm section that adjoins with the twisted, complex, yet methodical fury of the guitar work that lays the backbone for the summoning, 'Through The Cervix Of Hawwah' is a purging to prepare for the imminent deluge to be laid upon the feeble mortal coil. An entranceway through the womb of pestilence into the realm of destruction. The term Antediluvian itself is defined as the moment before the flood, in biblical scripture.:
The track listing to "Through The Cervix Of Hawwah" goes accordingly:
