Eyehategod To Release New Album In Spring 2021

New Orleans sludge metal pioneers Eyehategod has announced that they have returned to Century Media Records and that a new album, "A History Of Nomadic Behavior" will be released in the Spring of 2021.

A joint statement from the band on the band and label reunion: "Eyehategod are pleased to announce we’ve signed a licensing deal with Century Media Records USA and Europe! We welcome the new changes along with the new year coming, and want this union to benefit everyone involved, especially our rabid and disturbed fans across the globe!"

"We're happy to announce solidifying our worldwide relationship with Eyehategod," added Director of Century Media Records, Phillipp Schulte. "While Century Media has worked with the guys in the past, we're excited to begin a new chapter with a record that easily ranks amongst this hard-working, heavy-touring band's best. We are very much looking forward to releasing EyeHateGod's 'A History Of Nomadic Behavior.'"

"EyeHateGod are survivors on every level," says Century Media Records Vice President of A&R, Mike Gitter. "Since 1988 they've been part of the framework of extreme music and 'A History Of Nomadic Behavior' will be no exception. Theirs is a tough and turbulent road that would have stopped most bands dead in their tracks. Not these NOLA legends. Century Media has been part of their career from the early days and we're excited to be working together again. EyeHateGod is here to stay."

The cover art for A History of Nomadic Behavior has been revealed as the band and label prepare to share additional details about the album in coming weeks. More...

Nervosa Posts New Lyric Video Online

A boisterous, uncontrollable thrash/death metal assault led by the four women of Nervosa strikes another raging round with the release of their second single, "Perpetual Chaos," cut from their upcoming full-length of the same name, out on January 22, 2021 via Napalm Records.

Along with a stunning lyric video, the powerhouse quartet delivers an undeniable round-house kick of uncompromising thrash and death metal elements, illuminating listeners worldwide with their bold and thought-provoking lyricism denouncing social evils. Their brand-new offering showcases the extremely multifaceted and indefatigably brutal vocal power off their new singer Diva Satanica, guided by the massive axe attack off founding member Prika Amaral and thundering support of Mia Wallace on bass and Eleni Nota on drums.

Their upcoming full-length album, "Perpetual Chaos," marks the beginning of a new era whilst also underlining their critical, direct lyricism and style: From political grievances and amplifying the voices of minorities to protesting against factory farming, capitalism and succumbing to the ill-informed musings of social elites - these commanding women do not mince words.
Enter a thrashing world of destruction and be a part of the next generation of Nervosa!

Guitarist Prika Amaral comments:
"It was a wonderful experience with these girls, they are all very talented and did an excellent job, I have never been so happy with the final result of a record. I chose Artesonao studio in Malaga, because it is isolated and in an extremely beautiful place, we worked hard but we had the best vibe between us." More...

Dark Tranquillity Vocalist Discusses New Album

Death metal is almost certainly the most popular of metal's many sub-genres. What began as a heavier offshoot of thrash metal soon developed a life of its own and it was thanks largely to the now famous scenes in the Swedish cities of Stockholm and Gothenburg that it became more than just heaviness. In Gothenburg particularly, death metal became a more melodic, song driven artform, with brutal music suddenly becoming earworms and classic albums being released in the nineties. Though England's, Carcass deserves some credit for this too, a lot of fingers get pointed at three bands from Gothenburg: At The Gates, In Flames and of course, Dark Tranquillity.

Dark Tranquillity's story since their inception in 1989 is one of a band who always stayed true to themselves, yet evolved over time. In 1994, their sophomore album, "The Gallery" was released and became an instant classic in the field of death metal, with other albums such as "The Mind's I," "Damage Done" and "Character" also going on to receive critical acclaim. This Friday, the band are set to unleash another monstrous creation in the form of "Moment," an amazing collection of melodic death metal, encased in a beautiful album cover and with some truly fascinating themes. To find out more about "Moment," the themes within, how badly the record and band have been hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, the introduction of new guitarists Chris Amott and Johan Reinholdz and more, I spoke with vocalist Michael Stanne. You can watch the interview in full below. More...

Iron Savior Posts New Music Video Online

Iron Savior are about to add another classic to their discography with "Skycrest." The fact that Hamburg is not only the "most beautiful city in the world" but also the capital of Powermetal has been well known since the late Eighties. It should also be familiar to any friend of melodic, heavy sounds that Iron Savior, the band around mastermind Piet Sielck, belongs to the the Hanseatic Metal Circus like the Reeperbahn to the Kiez. Founded as a solo project in 1996, Multitalented Sielck, who has established his reputation as both guitarist and producer, has ensured over the years that the quartet has not only grown in depth but in character.

In celebration of the release, which will be out through AFM Records on December 4th, the band has released a new music video for the song "Souleater." You can check it out below. More...

Macabre Releases New Music Video

Chicago legends of murder metal/death metal are proud to release their demented, heinous bloodbath of an album, "Carnival Of Killers" on the fitting Friday the 13th. In the usual Macabre fashion and staying true to their name, they offer fans the perfect road trip sing-a-long coupled with a visually disturbing video for the single "The Wheels On The Bug" which chronicles the Ted Bundy murder spree.

Macabre's Corporate Death comments, "In our music, we tell true stories about different killers and you will gather information from our songs. It is like reading a newspaper article about these people but we tell stories via our music. I like to call it creative story telling about very bad people.
My mother used to buy me children’s records, from an early age, she saw that I liked to sing along. 'The Wheels On The Bug' is based on a song from a record my mother bought for me when I was young. I used to sing that song on the school bus. It must have stuck with me, as all these years later I’m still singing it, only we changed it up and made it more Macabre." More...
