As "Force My Hand," the debut recording from Psalm Zero, is set for release next week, Invisible Oranges is now hosting a listen to the EP's B-side excursion: the outfit's eclectic rendition of "Willpower" by Today Is The Day. Give the song a listen below. The following press release was also issued about the stream:
"While the original track boasts TITD's monumental, visionary style of tormented metallic extremism, Psalm Zero rebuilds this now twenty year-old classic in a whole new way, interpreting the song as an experimental neo-folk dirge, with delicate acoustic guitars, orchestral percussion, synth drones, and Medieval vocal harmonies; virtually portraying the track as a whole new work of their own.
"NYC-based duo Psalm Zero aligns Andrew Hock, of Castevet, and Charlie Looker, of recently-disbanded Extra Life, in a new experimental rock venture, pulsing with a vibrant blend of genres and style into a mesmerizing style of their own. The duo has confirmed that Profound Lore will be releasing their debut LP in Spring 2014, but the material on the Force My Hand 7" is exclusive to this release. Force My Hand will be available through Looker's own Last Things Records on November 19th.
"Psalm Zero will perform at their record release show for the 7" Brooklyn on November 22nd alongside Kayo Dot and Vaura, followed by a gig in Queens on December 5th supporting avant-noise technicians, Gnaw."

"Painful Death Lake, produced and directed by Alessandro Minenna (Sun Keeper Studio) is a symbolic and cryptic story of alchemy, magic and nature, death and life.
"The video shows a path of life (the old alchemyst walking different scenery) the ritual of transmutation (the passage of spirit and soul from the alchemyst body to the corpse) and it tells about the awareness of the soul to be damned to a sort of eternal existence (the band performing in the perennial ice).

One of the main reasons for this is because he helped contribute a lot to the writing for both the new and old albums along with Joel and thought it was best to have the 2 playing guitar and to seek a new vocalist.
"That being said we have found a new vocalist. We would like to welcome Riley McShane of Son Of Aurelius and Continuum to the band. He is by far a great addition to the band and we are stoked to have him be apart of it.
"In addition to the line-up change we have decided to throw up a pre-production track for you to enjoy and to check out what we have been doing the past few months. The album should be all finished up by the first week of December and out by early 2014 (February) after that we'll be heading out on a full Us/Canadian tour.
"The album art, track list, and everything else will be coming out soon after this. Thanks for your support everyone and see you guys soon." More...
