Lazarus A.D.'s Jeff Paulick checks in from the road!
"What's good dwellers of the Lazarus legion?!? Giving you a quick update from the road on our last-second venture with Ensiferum and Blackguard. Shit has been pretty awesome thus far. We left late Friday night, after the guys went and saw Job for a Cowboy, Gwar, and LoG in our hometown, the show was pretty fucking sick, headed off to Allentown, PA where the infamous Croc Rock pizza awaited...it wasn't so hot haha! We really had no idea what to expect as this tour as it's a little bit different genre-wise. It's been hit or miss, but for the most part I think it's getting through. Hopefully Peter and Alexi can get into the country asap so Hypocrisy can start tearing it up every night as well!
"The second night we played at Volume 11 in Raleigh, NC...and we have a little history there. As our previous three visits we laid a goose egg on merch every time, this time through, we finally got some good merch sales and had some very generous friends smoke us out, which meant our perception of Volume 11 did a huge 180! We grilled out that night with the guys from Blackguard (totally awesome brothers and an amazing band, definitely check them out!) shared a bottle of Jay-mo and woke to the sound of angry businessmen telling us to move our vehicle from their parking lot. We obviously denied the mess of beer cans strewn about the outside of the bus haha, but hey, I didn't know anything about that!!
"After Atlanta we drove straight to Jacksonville, FL where some friends of ours reside, just dodging Ida on the way, very lucky there, our bus and trailer don't mix with tropical storms. Our show was cancelled in Ft. Lauderdale which totally blew cuz we all were really looking forward to heading to the beach down south. SO, we made up for it and spent the day at Universal Studios, and needless to say, it was fucking awesome. Most of us had never been there before and it's easily one of the most fun parks I've ever been to. It was a pretty cloudy day so NOBODY was there; we went on everything multiple times through. We shared some drinks and lunch at the Hard Rock (we saw Dime's Crown Royal Guitar and Vinnie's full Pearl set used at the show where Dime was shot, pretty intense shit). Met up with the guys from Blackguard and hit some coasters with them. We grabbed a hotel and passed the fuck out as I had been up for 36 hours straight ensuring we could make this awesome day happen in time.
"Last night was Orlando, FUCK downtown Orlando parking. We had to park a mile away after we unloaded, after we played had to come back again, and then there was some confusion with payment as we were playing this Anti Pop festival, which had a million shows going on, the city was fucking packed, so we sat double parked on a one way street in front of the venue until payment was received haha...and it was.
"Long drive ahead to Texas and then to CALI!! Can't fucking wait, I'll be throwing some more updates at ya next week, until then spread the word that we are on "The Tour from Afar" with Ensiferum, Hypocrisy, and Blackguard, then hopping on with Vader and Warbringer for a couple weeks, see all you fucks on the road!!! Oh and there's a video coming soon of what we do most while on the road...COD...constantly haha! Light em up and drink em down!"

German black metallers Secrets of the Moon have issued the following recap of their recent tour dates alongside Moonspell:
"Friends & foes,
"After nearly 50 shows we played across this planet I am back home, feeling utterly dead in the most positive sense. the past two months have been an amazing, yet really raw experience for the band. Ups and downs, sickness, storm, no calmness. we spent the last month touring North America and Canada with Moonspell and Divine Heresy. Both bands are truly professional and cool guys. We salute them and our fantastic crew (cartel - tourmanager, phil - stagehand, ringo - busdriver and most important: the amazing jorge pina for his massive technical support!).
"Moreover we want to thank all the fans (present and future) that we met out there, that believe in what we are doing. It's been groundbreaking experience to meet people on the other side of planet earth so familiar with and dedicated to our music... an excuse to the people in kansas city and denver, whose i couldn't bring forth 100% due to the flu that hit me. Actually i don't have any memories from these shows besides for lying dead in my bunk.
"What is to come until the end of the year? nothing but creating music. a new album is already in the making, too many ideas storm our minds these days... We'll be back with another european tour in spring 2010, heading out to some countries we've never brought our sickness before. watch out!"

"It will come out on tape: in the US via Occult Contemporary, and there is a little prince with a big heart who asked us to release it in Germany. And Monokulturell keep pushing us to come over and share their bed. This baby will be born dead! Stay tuned, bastards!"

Paradise Lost has issued the following announcement about canceling six upcoming European tour dates:
“As some of you maybe aware, we have had to use a stand in guitarist (Milly Evans) to replace Greg Mackintosh for a few dates due to a serious illness within Greg's family. We did this with the sole purpose to prevent having to cancel any shows and to avoid disappointing fans that had already bought tickets and were looking forward to the concerts.
"So it is with great regret that we have to unavoidably announce that some gigs must be postponed for now and rescheduled as soon as possible. This is due to prior commitments Milly Evans has with his own band. We are working round these to fly him back and forth wherever possible to minimize any disruption to the tour, but we ask you to bear with us in this difficult time. The list of gigs to be postponed are as follows:
3rd Dec - Romania
4th Dec - Bulgaria
5th Dec - Croatia
10th Dec - Switzerland
11th Dec - Germany
12th Dec - Switzerland

So states the infamous The Onion in what is an excellent parody of the ongoing Aerosmith drama (even if a bit long). Here's an excerpt:
Analysts speculate that the sector-wide layoff was a result of multiple factors, including redundancies in the singing-songwriting division, rising rehab fees that have cost the group millions, and a 34 percent decline in jump-kicks since 2003. In addition, some of Aerosmith's younger, more ambitious employees, such as Joe Perry, 57, are willing to sing and play an instrument at the same time, often for half the salary.
