Machine Head has been forced to exit their current North American tour with Dethklok, All That Remains and Black Dahlia Murder due to matters completely beyond their control.
Frontman Robb Flynn must have emergency surgery. Flynn had planned to go under the knife in January after completing the tour as he has been playing through the pain of a double inguinal hernia since the tour started in October. He had hoped to continue the tour despite extreme discomfort, but it's become too difficult to continue on. Flynn will undergo surgery tomorrow, Wednesday, November 14 in Minneapolis before returning home to California to recover, rest and recuperate. Machine Head will rejoin the tour in Portland, OR.
Machine Head extends its regrets to fans, the other bands, and the other crews for having to leave the tour prematurely.

Crest of Darkness founder and frontman Ingar Amlien, together with drummer Kjetil Hektoen, will join members of Legiones, Enthral, and The Embraced in a specially formed band called Sythanagon Winged to perform five songs by the late Thomas “Quorthon” Forsberg, founder of Bathroy and one of the pioneers of the first wave of black and pagan/viking metal.
The event, which is billed as “Blood, Fire and Death – In Memory of Quorthon,” will take place on Saturday November 17th at the Fru Lundgreen in Trondheim, Norway. In Addition to Sythanagon Winged, other bands taking part include Chton, Cleaver, Law of the Horseman, and A Sorcery Written in Blood.
Commenting on the Quorthon Tribute event, Crest of Darkness' Amlien stated: “It’s a huge honour to be part of a tribute to an incredible musician. One who has influenced and inspired, and will continue to influence and inspire, generations of other musicians. It’s no exaggeration to say that many of today’s bands would probably not be around without him. Kjetil and I have been rehearsing hard with the rest of the guys and we are ready and very much looking forward to performing the Bathory songs and do them the justice they deserve.”
All Hail The Yeti is currently embarked on the recently announced Reconcile For Revenge Tour, the first full trek in support of the band's self-titled debut full-length, released at the end of August worldwide via AFM Records. The outfit is currently raging across the western half of the country, and has just expanded the tour, adding an additional slew of dates to the brutal trek.
See the fully updated itinerary below and expect new updates in the days ahead. All Hail The Yeti has also confirmed the recent addition of a new drummer following the recent departure of Skylar Feigel. Frontman Connor Garritty released an official statement on the new band member this week:
“We are very excited to announce that we have recruited a new drummer. Steve White officially joined the band in early October. His enthusiasm and positivity are a refreshing start to this new chapter of the band. He is an outstanding drummer that brings a whole new element to the table that we never had before. The vibe during rehearsals is better than it has ever been, and we feel very blessed to have found someone with the same goals and drive to succeed that we do. Having fun and being able to create on a brotherhood level has always been important to AHTY.
"Sometimes artistic relationships are difficult, and seeing eye-to-eye is often very tiring. When creative differences get in the way of progress, at some point someone needs to make a choice. With that being said Skylar decided that it was time to move on from AHTY, to pursue further musical goals. We wish him nothing but the best for his career to come. He will always be one of the family, and we support his decision one hundred percent.”

“We are stoked to announce this string of dates which will officially kick off our touring plans for the 'Consume Rapture' record. The tour will take Kunvuk into a number of regions the band has not been to yet so we are excited to get out there and meet all you crazy fuckers.
"If you don't see your town/city listed on the tour schedule do not freak. In the coming months we will announce tour plans for the rest of the states of Australia so drop us a line and check in to see if we are coming to your town."
Kunvuk released second album “Consume Rapture” in June 2012. After touring nationally in support of debut album “Immute: Jackals,” Kunvuk retreated to the Shadow Mekanik Studios for six months to carve out the stomping and screaming sophomore punch-in-the-face. The album was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Music in New Windsor, New York.

I See Stars has been added to Asking Alexandria‘s “Monster Energy Outbreak Tour” with As I Lay Dying, Memphis May Fire and Attila. The North American trek kicks off November 16th. I See Stars will be performing on the bill in-between Memphis May Fire and Attila. Asking Alexandria guitarist Ben Bruce said the following of the situation:
"First and foremost I would like to talk about a dear friend of mine who was prematurely taken from us this month. Mitch Lucker was one of the kindest and most passionate people I have ever had the pleasure of calling my friend. My thoughts are not only with his family and friends, but also with the millions of people, worldwide, who Mitch helped to mould and inspire into the people they are today. A great man was lost who's love and passion reached all corners of the globe. As many of you know, Suicide Silence were preparing to join us on our upcoming 'Outbreak' Tour.
"Due to the devastating circumstances they will no longer be joining us physically. They will however, Mitch included, be with us in spirit. We will go out on this tour with As I Lay Dying, Memphis May Fire & Attila to pay our tributes and respects to Mitch and his brothers in Suicide Silence. A portion of all tickets and official tour t-shirts sold will go to Mitch's daughter for the Kenadee Lucker Education Fund.
"Suicide Silence could never be replaced on our tour as they are the only band in the world who could bring their element, intensity and power to the line-up. For the sake of giving the fans the best show we can under the circumstances, we have decided to add Sumerian family members I See Stars to the bill, NOT AS A REPLACEMENT BY ANY MEANS, but as another band who's love and passion for music and their fans is as tried and true as ours. Now, more than ever, we need to come together to celebrate our collective love of music and to show compassion & solidarity in our scene.
"It's time to put aside all petty differences and remember what it is that brings us all together, the music. Mitch - from myself and everyone else who will be taking part in this tour, you are forever in our hearts. This one's for you. We love you. Cheers." More...

Glass Cloud has been involved in a van accident while on the AP Fall Tour with Miss May I, The Ghost Inside, Like Moths To Flames, and The Amity Affliction. The band comments:
"To say we've had a rough couple of days would be a massive understatement. Yesterday morning (11-11-12) at 7am, your boys in Glass Cloud took a heavy blow. While driving through Deadman's Pass on the Oregon Trail, we started to drift on a patch of ice and lost traction while trying to regain control. Our van completely turned around 180 degrees and as we were drifting backward, our wheel clipped a rock and flipped our van and trailer onto the drivers side.
"The crash shattered all the windows on that side leaving us all laying in broken glass. It also partially caved in the roof, shattered the windshield, and caved in the entire sheet metal siding on the drivers side. Our trailer has a twisted frame and tongue, bent up wheels, the back gate is pinched shut, the roof is pushed out and everything BUT our equipment is pretty much unsalvageable (thank god for flight cases on our instruments).
"Our drummer, Chad, was driving with our tour manager Eric in the passenger seat and Myself (Travis), Josh, Jerry and our merch girl Jess in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th row respectively. When we gained our bearings and realized that we were all still able to move, we helped each other climb out through the front windshield and into the snowy Oregon moutainside. We gathered what little of our belongings we could from the wreckage and got a ride from a tow truck to the town of Pendleton located 20 miles from the crash.
"As of now, I am writing this from my phone in an Econolodge trying to figure out what we need to do to get back on the road, meet up with our good friends on The AP Tour and continue playing our music across the country for the last two weeks of shows.
"In this video and here in the description you can find out exactly how to help us in this time and get us back on the road to finish this tour and make it home safely. When we get home, the real troubles will begin with finding transportation for our gear and a replacement for our van and trailer. We appreciate any help we can get from anybody during this hellacious time we are going trough and we hope everyone else stays safe and careful during these winter months." More...

This track was written in 1997 by Alfredo Vicencio, Jose Jara and I. Then in 2011 I presented the track to the new members at that time (Ryan Cady, Ron Buckner), and now in 2012 we finally have recorded the final version of it with Bill Smith on guitars and Nicolas Scandiffio on Vocals.
