In another new feud in the music world, Sumerian Records and ex-Sworn Enemy Guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci have posted a video clip online calling out Ronnie Radke of Falling in Reverse for recent behavior. The video apparently comes in response after I See Stars was kicked off a tour with Falling In Reverse. The video can be seen below. Sumerian Records also commented:
"There is nothing cool, rock & roll, punk rock, or admirable about treating your peers or fans like they are pieces of garbage. Ronnie Radke is not a good human being. It's one thing to love someone's music, but do not love someone as an individual for who they are not. We do not think it is a coincidence this is the same guy who was arrested for the horrible, violent things you can read about in the links below. He cares about no one but himself and he has reminded us all of this. His latest tweet 'people at our shows come to see us everything else is irrelevant. Nuff said.' is his way of telling all the other bands he tours with that they don't matter. Why any artist would throw that type of negativity and disrespect out is something we will never understand. This scene is supposed to be about compassion and understanding. Ronnie is rotten.
"Out of respect for the industry professionals involved in this debacle, we will not be publicly disclosing any legal documents on the internet. We can confirm that Ronnie kicked the band off the tour but allowed them back on after they forfeited their pay. We can confirm that they were being forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement regarding this in order to stay on the tour. We can confirm that I See Stars were not kicked off yesterday in Detroit because of anything to do with drugs. It was because a grown man was throwing a temper tantrum who claims to be 'rock & roll' but is actually worse than a neurotic pop-star diva with a God complex. Just because you no longer do drugs doesn't mean you are no longer a horrible human being. Ronnie now abuses people instead of substances."
Every week in Unearthing the Metal Underground, we take a look at three quality bands that haven't gotten as much exposure yet as they should. This week we’ll be taking another look at three metal bands from the West Country (the South West of England,) all with their own take on the genre.
Formed in Taunton, the county town of Somerset in 2008, the awesomely named, Flayed Disciple have been performing their own brand of brutal thrash metal ever since. They released their first record, an EP entitled, "Drawn Viscera" the next year, earning almost instant acclaim in the local metal scene and going on to perform with the likes of South Western thrash legends, Onslaught and New Wave of British Heavy Metal heroes, Diamond Head. In late 2011 they signed a deal with Grindscene Records, which led to the release of their debut full length album, "Death Hammer," which was also given away with copies of the May edition of Terrorizer magazine. The group has been able to perform at a number of festivals over the years, including the ever growing Bloodstock Open Air and will soon be embarking on a trip to India where they will perform a handful of shows along with a slot on the Indian Metal Festival, the very first heavy metal festival in the country, which will be headlined by French death metal outfit, Gojira.

"Dark Sermon was formed in 2009 and has been making their mark on the Florida scene in spades. The band uses their fast, thrashy riffs, bone-crushing blast beats, and throaty vocals to bring something fresh and new to the table."
Frontman Johnny Crowder comments:
"We are humbled and extremely excited to be working with such heavy-hitters as eOne & Good Fight. We couldn't have asked for a more welcoming reception to our new label home. As far as the new record goes, there is a great deal of diversity throughout; think dark, think fast, think heavy. Today Vision of Disorder has announced that all the proceeds from the band's upcoming headlining concert in Brooklyn later this month will be donated to the Red Cross, in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.
What was simply a headlining show for the band has now been dubbed “Picking Up Change: Hardcore For Hurricane Relief.” Vision of Disorder initiated this act of support to the band's community after witnessing the catastrophic demolition across the New York metropolitan area and beyond as Sandy surged through the region on October 29th.
VOD, as well as the other bands performing at the Music Hall of Williamsburg on November 24th, will contribute donations to the Red Cross to help aid the decimated areas and many displaced local residents throughout the Northeast as the season grows colder. In a collective statement the members of VOD had this to say:
“Our hearts go out to those severely affected by this tragic incident. Being from Long Island, Hurricane Sandy has (quite literally) hit home for us. The music scene in Long Island, The New York metro area and New Jersey have been so supportive to VOD over the years that we felt donating the proceeds from the Brooklyn show was a no-brainer. We are proud to announce that the opening acts (Primitive Weapons, Yuppicide, Swarm of Arrows) have also agreed to donate their proceeds. We hope that this small gesture can add to the ongoing efforts and help rebuild these traumatized areas. We look forward to seeing you all on Nov 24th to support this cause.”
In addition to the funds generated by Vision of Disorder, Yuppicide, Primitive Weapons, and Swarm of Arrows at “Picking Up Change: Hardcore For Hurricane Relief” going directly to the Red Cross, show attendees are invited to bring supplies – canned/nonperishable food, batteries, toilet paper, etc. -- for area shelters and food banks, as donation bins will be posted outside of the venue. Supplies to aid pets and animals displaced by the storm are also acceptable and will be donated to Last Resort Animal Rescue in New Jersey. More...

Canada's Cryptopsy will release a new 2CD/digital download "best of" collection on November 19th in North America titled "The Best Of Us Bleed," which features 32 songs in approximately 140 minutes of playing time, including three new studio tracks.

Today MetalSucks offers up an exclusive premiere of "The Glowing Hate," the latest single of iniquity from Swedish death metal unit, Aeon.
The track comes off the band's forthcoming new full-length, "Aeons Black," scheduled to drop next week. Check out "The Glowing Hate" at this location.
Comments guitarist Daniel Dlimi of the tune: "My goal with 'The Glowing Hate' was to write a really diverse song containing all sorts of elements and influences. Personally, I think it turned out great and it's also the song that I am most satisfied with of the ones I wrote for the album. I also think [vocalist] Tommy [Dahlstöm ] managed to write really great lyrics and awesome vocal patterns for it, and as usual it's all about our everlasting hate against religion. The spoken parts at the end were something that Tommy and I came up with over a piss-warm beer in the studio after we were done with the main vocals of the song. It sounded cool so we decided to keep it." More...
Even though Fun Fun Fun Fest 2012 happened just a couple of miles from my apartment, it felt like an epic, festival journey. It was akin to driving from Texas to Maryland for the Maryland Death Fest. The road trip I took to a festival was in 2001 to the defunct Milwaukee Metal Fest. That trip was a mere 7-8 hours in the car from Michigan. Making it to Fun Fun Fun Fest meant 24 hours in the car, from Michigan to Texas. Unlike any other festival trip, though, I could sleep in my own bed after a long day of music and festivities.
4:30 AM November 2nd—I hit the highway outside Sikeston, Missouri, made it to Georgetown, Texas round 3:30 PM and immediately left for Austin. The highway reminded me of those nature programs depicting army ants traveling head to butt in a single file line through the forest. The festival surely added to Friday’s gridlock. I anxiously pushed on, trying to make it home in time to catch the best day of the fest for metal. Napalm Death, Municipal Waste, Burning Love, Converge and Tomahawk comprised this lineup. Despite my diligence, I would miss all of these acts.
Having arrived at the festival around 7 PM, I figured I missed the day’s metal acts, and would look towards Run DMC’s performance. My coverage was even further delayed by mistakes in issuing press credentials. While waiting for my photo pass, droning notes emanated from the Yellow Stage. Normally this stage features comedians, but after 5 PM, bands took the stage. I asked a staff member who was playing and he said Super Chunk. More...

Sinbreed is lining up 2013 festival appearances in Germany, Spain and Belgium. Fan-filmed video and band-released audio of the new lineup's ProgPower USA XIII can be found below. More...

Vocalist/guitarist Jeremy Langham of The Approach and The Execution has issued the following announcement about parting ways with the band:
"It comes with an overwhelming sense of sadness and the heaviest of hearts, yet a positive outlook on the future that I report to you that as of yesterday, I relinquished my duties, and resigned from The Approach & The Execution.
"For months now, my heart has been telling what I had been incapable of hearing for almost the last 15 years throughout my musical journey, that it was time to step back from music, and focus on the many other journeys and adventures I seek to move forward with.
"Speaking with all of my amazing brothers in The Approach about my feelings, rationale and final decision was one of the most difficult experiences that I have been through. We shared hugs, tears, and a rehashing of memories that will last a life time within me.
"After it was all said and done, all of my brothers were incredibly supportive, and understanding. My love for them will grow and grow forever. To all of the friends, family, and folks who have supported myself and this wonderful band throughout these past four years, I extend to you the most love that one can possible extend. It was a helluva ride, Rage Crew! Without this band and this glorious ride, I would have never met so many of you great people and so many of you great bands. More...

Wardruna is currently working intensely on the new album "Yggdrasil," which will be released in the spring of 2013. Wardruna's Einar Kvitrafn Selvik offers this update:
"A lot has happened since the release of our debut album in 2009. We have been lucky enough to be able to perform at some really special places and interesting festivals. A concert with Wardruna is in my view two-way communication, and meeting our audience has been both overwhelming and very inspiring for us.
"Judging from the amount of comments and questions we get at our shows or by e-mail it seems clear to me that it is due time for more Wardruna music.
"It has taken me quite a while to find the necessary calmness and time needed in order to create the way I do. Last year in November, I began recording for ‘Runaljod – Yggdrasil’, which will be the second part of the ‘Runaljod’ trilogy. The creative process has been time-consuming and demanding, but I am very happy to say that I am now in the final stages of recording ‘Yggdrasil’. Like our previous album, it is partly recorded outdoors and in places or situations relevant to the given song.
"Although the instruments are more or less the same as on ‘gap var Ginnunga’, the nature of the set of runes featured on ‘Yggdrasil’ have naturally made it a very different album. It is also worth noting that this time I’ve been working more closely with Lindy and Gaahl during the creative process. We are all very satisfied with the result so far, and we are looking forward to presenting this new piece of old-rooted culture!
"Together with Indie Recordings we are aiming for a spring release (March/April) both in Europe and in the US."

Finland's Children of Bodom has issued the following announcement about canceling the band's scheduled appearance at next summer's Tuska festival:
"We've been waiting to play Tuska for some years now. It is our home festival after all. Unfortunately this year we have to sacrifice a couple of festivals in Europe in order to be able to be part of a big tour in USA. These are not easy nor nice decisions. We only can hope we can do Tuska in the near future again.
"Please stay tuned for our schedules for summer 2013. Fortunately we are able to play shows in Europe as well. Looking forward!"
British hardcore act Knuckledust has issued the following announcement about canceling upcoming live shows:

Vocalist Josh Foster comments, "The Tectonics EP has a everything to do with the things in life that seriously rock our foundation. Sometimes, more often than not, awful things happen to us that are so 'earth shattering,' that it actually changes who we are, and can put us in a dark place.
"That’s why I think 'Tectonics' is such a great name for this EP, it’s a very heavy-handed understanding of how the world can physically shift at anytime, and conceptually, how it might just be our turn to stand on the fault line and fall in...it’s up to us alone to crawl back out and reclaim our life."
The "Tectonics" EP's track listing is as follows:
1. Motion (4:52)
2. Such is the Mind (of a Realist) (3:50)

Finland's Memoira has issued the following announcement about gearing up to release a new album in early 2013:
"First of all we would like to thank you all for your patience with our new album! We promise you that the album will be released EARLY NEXT YEAR!
"We all know the album has been delayed many times and here is why! You have a band that is looking for an opportunity to record/mix/master and album that is already delayed and the studio is one of the best studios in our region and also the busiest. Also the guy who is doing everything (recording/mixing and mastering) is busy with his own schedule. We have been mixing this album everytime there has been a free spot on the studio schedule, Heikki's schedule and our schedule...And it has been nerve wrecking for all of us!
"As we have all the tracks at Ansa studios we can't simply start over with the mixing process because we are already so near the finish line. We have been doing shows and playing the same songs over and over again during this whole time and it has been like running in a wheel....We will be taking the rest of the year off to load our batteries and spend time with our other projects.
"Jani and Jarkko will be joining forces to write some new material, as will I. So the beginning of the next year looks really promising! We would like to thank Heikki for his patience and also Teemu from Ansa studios for giving us the chance to do this album.
"Also we would like to thank our families for their patience and all the people evolved! All the details of the release will be announced later. Kiitos! Memoira would like to wish you all Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!"

"15 years of friendship, joy, M.E.T.A.L., tragedy, madness, sadness and really bad jokes will forever be carved in my mind. Thank you for this.
