Here’s another one for all you social networking addicts. Google+ rolled out their answer to Facebook Pages this week, Google+ Pages, allowing users to create separate pages for companies, products, etc. Bands are one of the available categories, and you can create your own band page now with a few simple steps.
First, like Facebook, you need to set up your personal account. Set this personal account up as yourself and not your band. The rules of engagement are slightly different for the two types of accounts and I always find it annoying when someone is using a personal account to represent a product essentially.
Once you’ve got a Google+ account for yourself, it’s only a few clicks to create a page for your band. More...
A track from controversial act Anal Cunt's upcoming collection, "The Old Testament," has debuted online and can be heard through the player below. The track contains the band’s entire side of the 1991 split 7” with The Meat Shits.
This posthumous 2 CD collection of early works will see its release on November 22nd. Relapse Records commented on the collection:
"The Old Testament, the last completely authorized Anal Cunt release, showcases the band’s earliest and most forceful work. In addition to the infamous 5,643 Song EP and the bands' early split releases, The Old Testament also includes A.C.’s first demo (from April 1988) and last session in 1991, neither of which have been heard by anyone outside the band. The Old Testament includes liners penned by charismatic founder and songwriter Seth Putman shortly before his death, as well as an epilogue from original A.C. drummer Tim Morse, tons of never-before-seen early photos, and much more.
"A.C. courted controversy and melted minds with their unique brand of noise for over twenty years. Love them or hate them, the outrageous outfit built a cult following worldwide and became one of the most talked about underground bands of our time." More...
Relapse Records has issued the following announcement about inking a deal with Liberteer:
"Relapse Records is extremely proud to announce the signing of California anarcho-grinders Liberteer. The creation of Matthew Widener (Cretin, Citizen), Liberteer is a manifestation of total anarchy, driven by an incendiary lyrical message designed to burn the system down!
"The band’s debut album, entitled 'Better To Die on Your Feet Than Live On Your Knees,' will see it’s release on January 31st of 2012. The album artwork and pre-orders are available now at this location."
Widener commented on the formation of the band and the upcoming debut: "My thoughts on politics slowly changed over the past six years. In Citizen I had a sense of outrage about our government, but because it still supported the idea of state, it doesn't make much sense to me now. I've come to embrace the ideas of anarchy. The old band name, Citizen, represents a system of exclusion and nationalism, things I can't stand now, so I had to rename the band and change a lot of things. I think the good things about the music are still there—the thematic, major-key riffs, the d-beats and blasts—but the message is now pure.
"The album is one long song, with a handful of the coolest riffs reappearing as leitmotifs, like a pissed off opera made of blasts and d-beats. It's utterly relentless. Plus, there's a training montage at the halfway point."
Bethlehem has posted more footage online of the band performing live in Berlin. You can check out the newly posted clip below of Bethlehem playing "The 11th Commandment" and "Vargtimmen." Previously posted video from the show is also available by heading over to this location.

Today, Kyuss Lives!! announces former Kyuss bassist Scott Reeder as the first guest slated to join the band at the highly anticipated show.
Reeder, who played bass on Kyuss' classic LPs "Welcome to Sky Valley" and "...And the Circus Leaves Town" and was also a member of doom legends The Obsessed, will share the stage with Kyuss Lives!! on what promises to be a momentous night in the band's ever-evolving legacy. The Last Vegas are Chicago area rockers best known for being Guitar Center’s On Stage contest winners (prize was touring with Motley Crue), and their last album “Whatever Gets You Off,” which was produced by DJ Ashba (Guns N’ Roses), Marti Frederiksen, and Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue, SIXX:A.M.). While their fans await the follow-up to their last album, the band has released a new music video for a song titled “The Other Side.”
Starring in the video is B-Movie star, Sybil Danning, who has starred in Rob Zombie’s (White Zombie) “Halloween” and “Howling II.” Fun Fact: Sybil appeared on the cover of the 1983 August issue of Playboy. Joining Danning in the video is The Last Vegas, consisting of Chad Cherry (vocals), John Wator (guitar), Adam Arling (guitar), Danny Smash (bass), and Nate Arling (drums).
The stage is set for the horror genre by the “normal every day” setting of a house in suburbia. Sybil is sitting on the couch. The band is in the house, spread around the living room. Cherry is sitting next to Danning on the couch. Given the “low budget horror” aspirations of this video, it makes sense that Danny Smash was not allowed a drum set, instead forced to bang out the beat on his knees.
It’s uncomfortable on the couch as Sybil just sits and stares (looking worried) while Chad Cherry SCREAMS into her ear the lyrics and chorus to the song. Inches from her ear, Cherry continues to deliver his vocals as Danning becomes concerned. Something is bothering her! It must be dinner time. Has the ham cooked too long? The screaming continues. The look of concern turns worrisome. Cut to the kitchen.
Dinner is served. If you ever wondered how to eat a feast like a rock and roll band this video offers three points: 1. Chug beer out of a glass (need to stay classy Chicago) 2. Always stick knives into the main course. Apparently a stabbing motion is preferred. 3. If you believe you have shoved enough mashed potatoes in your mouth you are probably wrong, there’s always room for more.
With dinner on the table Sybil is no longer worried. No, instead she looks at peace and has a cleaver behind her back. She is all smiles when she approaches Chad Cherry and slashes his throat. Blood splatters all over the kitchen, the band, and Sybil. Next, Danning kisses and caresses Cherry; rubbing his blood all over herself and then dancing. The band is dead at the kitchen table, in a pool of blood as Danning prances around the kitchen. A brief moment of concern returns, and then she remembers. Dessert! She goes to the oven and pulls out a sheet of chocolate cookies, of course, not before a drop of blood falls onto the cookie sheet.
A killer song and video (literally) that teaches us all a lesson: If you insist on screaming in someone’s ear you may get your throat slashed! The more you know…

According to the New York Post, former Anthrax vocalist Dan Nelson has filed a $2.65 Million lawsuit against his ex band mates, as a result of the way his departure from the thrash metal veterans was handled in 2009.
The singer maintains that he was fired from the band while other members have repeatedly said that he quit suddenly. Nelson says his ex-bandmates’ "intentional defamation" has caused him a loss of income and damaged his reputation.
The Manhattan federal court filing further charges that Nelson co-wrote the tunes on the band’s latest album, "Worship Music," but hasn’t gotten his fair share of the profits.

Godhate has posted a music video online for the song "In Praise of Sin," which can be found below. The band also commented:
"The new Godhate video has been launched on youtube. Since I've already got some response on it claiming it to be demoralizing I will tell you that it's not! The song is about living life to it's fullest and don't care for what people might think of it. Life is to enjoy. Many things are symbolic and doesn't mean to encourage people to do bad things and to copy what happens in the video. Think for yourself and think beyond the boundaries."

Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish posted the following status update on "Imaginaerum The Movie":
"It`s Wednesday the 9th of November and the first single of Imaginaerum called "Storytime" is finally out today. It`s part 1 of a very long homecoming, 4 years in the making. Makes me feel a bit sad, fairly relieved and ultimately proud. Sad that a certain journey is finally coming to an end, relieved that everything worked out beautifully, and proud of the band members` and the fellow imagineers` effort in getting this colossal project together. Thank you.
I saw the first edits of Imaginaerum The Movie a week ago. Stobe and Mathieu have been working with the edits a few weeks now and the parts I saw were very convincing. The demo scores (by the tech wizard Petri Alanko) are working out wonderfully, even though we still need to toy around with them quite a bit. The special effects guys have also begun their work, so once we get all these layers together some truly mind blowing movie magic will be born. Basically now we just have to wait patiently and try not to breathe too much into their backs, and let them do their magic.
In the meanwhile, loads of promo and rehearsals still to be done.
Such exciting times,
The band recently released the music video for the first single "Storytime" at this location.
Nightwish also posted a video "About Storytime" that takes you behind the scenes, which can be viewed here:

9. Our Peace Someday
10. Desert Suicide

This Is Hell has turned out to be one of the more exciting thrash bands in recent memory, but it wasn’t always that way for this New York quintet. They originally took inspirations from the NY hardcore scene for their first two albums, “Sundowning” and “Misfortunes,” before taking cues from bands like Municipal Waste on last year’s “Weight Of The World.” Just a year later, they have completely turned into a thrash act with “Black Mass,” though not without a few hints of their past still present. I had a chance to speak to guitarist Rick Jimenez in late October about “Black Mass” and how long-time fans will react to this new direction for This Is Hell. More...

"More release dates for other countries to be announced as soon as possible! But don't think we have been lazy. We have been recording and finalizing the album until last week. Check below to get a little insight on our recording sessions for the album. This very first part is documenting the recording of the drums, more parts will follow soon! Enjoy!
