"The New Yorker describes Batillus as 'a sludgy four-piece that slows monstrous Black Sabbath riffs to a crawl to produce highly textured compositions of droning doom-metal,' and Revolver calls their music 'beyond-atmospheric blackened doom.'
"Seventh Rule will release 'Furnace,' the first full length by Batillus, in the coming spring months, with full U.S. touring by the band to follow. 'Furnace' was recorded by Sanford Parker (Yob, Unearthly Trance, Nachtmystium, Pelican) at Semaphore Studios in Chicago. "

It is being reported through Swedish news outlets that Swedish heavy metal act Enforcer was involved in a serious vehicle accident this morning at 3 A.M in route to Stockholm, coming from Oslo, Norway. The band, which was on tour in Europe as the support act for Australian hard rockers Airbourne was near its hometown of Arvika when the group's vehicle skidded on ice, crossed over to the other side of the road and experienced a head-on collision with a snow-plow. Guitarists Adam Zaars and Joseph Tholl, bassist Tobias Lindqvist and the band's driver were battered and bruised, but miraculously all survived the crash with only minor injuries and Olof Wikstrand and drummer Jonas Wikstrand were travelling in a separate car at the time and were not involved in the crash.
The band has cancelled its appearances tonight in Sweden and on November 12 and November 13 in Finland and will be using the time to recuperate and recover from the nerve-wracking incident. They will resume the tour on November 16 in Berlin, Germany.
Dark Tranquillity has issued the following recap of the band's recent tour dates:
"What a ride! After having spent most of the year touring other continents and laying to waste innumerable summer festivals, we finally brought the 'We are the void' experience to the European club circuit.
"The whole 'Where death is most alive part II' experience was amazing, and the seven weeks were filled with great shows and unforgettable moments. The idea of having a different local support band - determined by public vote - every night in mainland Europe turned out to be successful as well; we got to hear a lot of great acts and even got some tattoos courtsey of JP Mottin of El Comer Ocho. So we'd like to extend our most sincere thanks to everyone that took part in the shows - the awesome support acts of Insomnium, Avatar, Marionette and Omnium Gatherum, the beloved crew of Basti, Jorge, Jukka, Anders, Matti, Mikko and Jörg, all local support bands and of course all the fans that came out to the shows to give us the time of our lives.
"We've gotten some questions regarding the setlist. We shifted things around a bit to keep some variation for ourselves and for the numerous people that attended several of the shows, but these are the tracks that at some point were played. More...

Finnish folk metallers Korpiklaani have issued the following announcement about releasing a new album:
"Dear fans, a bit late, but still a big thanks to all of you who came to our shows. We were happy to see so many old friends again and meet so many new ones! We have a little surprise for you; we will go on tour again in March 2011, a new Paganfest Tour! Apart from us, also Unleashed, Moonsorrow, Varg, Arafel and Kivimetsän Druidi will play, and on some special shows even Eluveitie and Heidevolk will take part. So, a big box full of goodies will be presented to you, for long evenings with great music, atmosphere and joy!
"We have been pretty busy finishing our upcoming album Ukon Wacka. Ukon Wacka, or Ukon Vakat, is a pagan sacrificial feast from ancient times, on which a special made beer richly flowed. As can be expected from the title, this album has an ancient and very folky feel and is totally in Finnish. To make the lyrics understandable for non-Finnish people, we will add an English description/translation in the booklet as usual.
"The album consists of 10 songs, among which you will find a song name Tequila, which is especially written for (and inspired by) our South American fans, with whom we celebrated such hard times, and who welcomed us so warmly, when we were touring in South America. Another surprise is the title song, Ukon Wacka, in which a special guest features: the famous Finnish singer Tuomari Nurmio! Last but not least features a tribute song (Päät pois tai hirteen) to the Finnish rock band Peer Günt, a great and underestimated band. We hope and expect that this album will give you as much joy as we had making it; a big folky feast for all! You only have to wait a bit, the release date is scheduled for February 4th 2011."
Norway's Leprous has posted the band's 11th tour blog online from Croatia, which can be read below.
Today it was time to say hello to Zagreb - the capital of Croatia. We enter the venue, and discover that both the catering and backstage facilities are really good! After doing some shows with rather small backstages shared between two bands, it was really nice to finally have a large backstage only for Leprous. In addition to that, the stage was perfect and the local crew was very helpful! Without us asking for it, they provided us with a driver that drove us to the city center of Zagreb.
When we arrived in the more central parts of Zagreb, the driver offered us to guide us through the city center to show us the most interesting parts. Now we´re talking good service! What also surprised me was how good the Croatians were in English! Almost everyone I talked to were able to communicate quite good in English.
The catering on the venue was perfect........for those who eat meat! Since the majority of the band are Vegetarians, it could have been better. It was a huge plate with meats of all kind, almost like a norwegian christmas meal. No worries, because the really nice crew from the Boogallo Club in Zagreb ordered a really nice Tofu meal for us! Once again, really nice service.More...

We will give you just the vocals and let you go to town on it, be it a trance, house, dubstep, electronica, glitch, drum & bass or whatever your flavor is remix. Make it as crazy or as true to the original as you want, or anything in between, we want to hear what you guys can do, but originality and creativity are always well appreciated.
