Arrayan Path Returns With "Dawn Of Aquarius"

Cypriot epic power metal act Arrayan Path returns with its sixth album "Dawn of Aquarius" just a little over a year since the band’s last offering "Chronicles of Light." “Dawn of Aquarius” is out on November 17th in CD and digital formats via Pitch Black Records. A limited collector’s edition will be announced shortly. Pre-orders are available via the PBR Online Store or Bandcamp.

Check out the first single - the album's title track via a lyric video available in the player below.

This album is as full as it gets, not only because of its thirteen tracks, but also because it includes everything that has always distinguished this band masterfully blended together creating a remarkable musical variety – from galloping fast and epic, to dark and doomy, exotic melodies and soaring epic vocals! It’s also one that reveals a somewhat darker side to the band, mainly due to the album’s central theme.

In the words of Nicholas Leptos (Warlord), the band’s frontman and driving force: “This album is 13 mantras honoring mother goddess Kali and explores all aspects of Hindu history and mythology in regards to the black Madonna – Kali. The album’s full name is actually ‘Dawn of Aquarius: Maha Kali Stuti’ and this is an album as varied as Kali’s many faces and traits.”

On this album, the band added some traditional folk instruments such as the oud and yaylin tambur. However, make no mistake - this is 100% Arrayan Path, complete with the catchy choruses and melodies and the band’s unique blend of 80s and 90s heavy metal.

The album was mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio and featuring guest vocal appearances by Andreas Paraschos (BLYND) and George Eracleous (ONEIRISM).

Wyoming's Affliktor issued another new song from the self-titled debut record coming October 20th via Transcending Obscurity Records. Check out "The Singularity" courtest of Metal Talk at this location, or just down in the player below.

Guitarist Toby Knapp used his experience of neoclassical metal music and mashed it with his black/thrash project Affliktor. On "The Singularity" he comments: "The guitar playing is coming more from a Trey Azagthoth, Jeff Hanneman attitude than say, Steve Vai or someone truly considered virtuosic. I think there is some creativity here possibly because this is a black/death Metal album approached completely thinking out of the box."

Joined by a cast of musicians, Kelly Gray, John Moyer, Simon Wright, Scott Mercado, Scott Moughton, Brian Tichy, & Mike Ferguson, whose talent and resumes speak volumes for the quality of musicianship that will be on display here, "The New Reality" is a another fine progressive rock/metal entry from Tate.

Mithridatic Announces Live Release, Posts Preview

In 2007, blackened death metal dark matter particles aggregated and formed Mithridatic. In 2015, the band unleashed the debut single "The Hunt Is On." In 2016, the band bursted immense blasts of dark energy with the debut "Miserable Miracle," followed by a full European irradiation with Nile and Melechesh and countless gigs. Thus, the creation of the new black hole you’re about to discover: "He Who Lies Underneath." A preview clip - featuring the song "Miserable Miracle" is available as a live video below.

Filmed with multiple cameras and professionally recorded in the hometown of Saint-Etienne, France, "He Who Lies Underneath" is a full concert that will plunge the audience into a whirlwind of a nauseating, oppressing and sickening experience through nine tracks retracing the band’s ten years-long career featuring not only songs from "Miserable Miracle," but also from "The Hunt Is On" and more.

In a time musicianship reaches unbelievable technical levels and technology helps any band sounding huge on stage, what makes a real difference is the ability for artists to create a real experience for the audience ; an experience that’s often sadly only based on visual gimmicks and an orthodox "Metal" imagery but few are the ones that, out of pure presence and thank to a razor-sharp song-writing exploring personal inner struggles and channeling psychological experiences, are transcending it all through a real live embodiment and create a nearly ritualistic atmosphere that will leave its mark on the listener’s mind.

Mithridatic is definitely one of these few gifted bands and "He Who Lies Underneath" is one of those captivating live experiences. The release will be available on most VOD and audio/video streaming/download platforms on January 19, 2018.

You’re not even ready.

The track listing is:

1. The Supply…
2. ...For Terror and the Crowd
3. Miserable Miracle
4. Hunting Fever
5. Dispense the Adulterated
6. Abraxas
7. Hell Compasses Points

Trepaneringsritualen Releases New LP "Kainskult"

Gothenburg, Sweden-based Trepaneringsritualen has just unveiled its latest album "Kainskult," a harrowing venture into ritualistic/death industrial madness which is now streaming in its demoralizing entirety. The album is available now via Bandcamp over at this location.

Trepaneringsritualen is the work of one Thomas Martin Ekelund, who has released an impressive arsenal of albums, EPs, singles, splits, collaborations, compilation tracks, and more since its 2008 inception, through labels including Cold Spring, Malignant Records, Tesco Archaic Documents, and many others.

On "Kainskult," the follow-up proper to 2014's praised "Perfection & Permanence," we find Trepaneringsritualen at its most visceral; completely devastating in its feral ferocity, and utterly demented in its elemental ecstasy. "Kainskult" will undoubtedly stand as a cornerstone album both in the T × R × P canon, and in the industrial scene at large. In the animalistic frenzy and emotional intensity, these nine songs immediately envelop the listener and threaten or promise to drive you to the brink of madness.

"Kainskult" is playing in its entirety in the player at the bottom and features the following track listing:

1. Death & Ecstasy
2. Maðr Malformed
3. All Flesh Has Corrupted

Thaw Releases New Single "The Brigand"

Polish avante garde/experimental black metal act Thaw issued a video clip for the new single "The Brigand." The song appears on the upcoming new release "Grains," which drops on December 8th via Agonia Records.

Recorded during sessions scattered over various periods of time, "Grains" is not just another step forward for the already acclaimed band. The album divided into five pieces evolves in multiple directions. There is Thaw's trademark take on black metal noise, there is drone, last but not least – there is the ability to conduct a unique narrative with music. Intensity combined with abandoning traditional structures make the new effort of one of the most forward-thinking bands an experience one of a kind. A distorted landscape where creation meets destruction perfectly painted.

"Grains" has been once again recorded and produced by THAW at Maq Records Studio and Satanic Audio. A cover painting made by Furia's Sars as well as appearances of Maciej Morus (Mitch & Mitch, ex-Starzy Singers) and Stawrogin (Odraza) only add to the album's mystery and weird magnetism.

The track listing is:

1. The Brigand
2. The Thief
3. The Cabalist
4. The Harness
5. Wielki Piec

While remaining loyal to crucial heavy metal foundations, the band is successful at pronouncing that heaviness with depth and honesty.

Beastiality To Release Debut Album

Today, Invictus Productions set December 15th as the international release date for Beastiality's debut long player "Worshippers of Unearthly Perversions." Check out the new song "Apocalyptic Storm" in the player at the bottom.

Although the moniker might suggest bestial metal in the mold of Beherit and other elder gods, Beastiality instead brim with the sulfurous sensation of classic blackthrashing Metal. Indeed, the band rises from the sewers of Stockholm and become the very bastard sons of plutonium anthropology, whiplashing a filth and fury that can only be harnessed through sheer iron will. Not to mention copious amounts of alcohol, and else... For verily, "Worshippers of Unearthly Perversions" is aptly titled: Beastiality explodes with unremitting violence and force as well as pure Piledriving perversity, ancient servants of darkness to the very, vomitous end.

Says the band, “After some curses and struggles which struck upon us during the recording of the album, we are now ready to reap the foundation of the earth!”

That cover and track listing are as follows:

1. The Mist of Mayhem
2. Witchblood
3. Sadistic Fornication
4. Riders of Imminent Death
5. Apocalyptic Storm
