Vocalist Alex Huffman comments, “I feel very relieved; there was so much effort put into this record by so many people and as an artist, it was terrifying to be in a situation where you thought such a project could sit and gather dust. Almost a year after the fact, I can still listen to this record and see it as a wonderful body of work from five people of different backgrounds coming together and creating something special.”

Legendary progressive death metal act Atheist is about to release a new full-length album entitled "Jupiter," which is the band's first studio album since 1993. Atheist vocalist Kelly Shaefer recently spoke with me about the long hiatus between albums, what he's been up to since '93, the themes of "Jupiter," and other topics as diverse as the pope and Bill Maher.
"I think we knocked it out of the park with this one, it’s the perfect continuation with where we left off," Shaefer stated about the new album. He also went on to further explain, "We’d just sit down and write and whatever happens, happens. That’s how we set our template. I couldn’t be happier with the way it turned out. I hate saying that, because everybody says that. If you are a fan of Atheist you are definitely going to love this record. It’s all over the place, and yet it’s right down the middle." More...

The Sacramento, CA quintet Conducting From The Grave is set to release the new album "Revenants" on October 25th release. The band has partnered up with Bloody-Disgusting.com to debut the new track “Path of A Traitor,” which can be heard at this location.
Vocalist Jeffery Morgan stated: "The overlying theme of 'Path of A Traitor' deals with betrayals of friendship or trust through manipulating and taking advantage those who do not stop them from doing so, and in the end, the justice the betrayer deserves. The song starts out with a visualization of all of the misdeeds that have led to persecution and ends with the traitor being brought to justice, hence the line 'you fucking traitor, there shall be justice when you burn alive.' Overall, the lyrics are fairly generalized with some of Mikey's personal experience tied in. We've all been betrayed at some point and have desired vengeance and retribution. That is what this song is about.
"We are currently out on the 'Time To Bleed Tour' with Suicide Silence, My Children My Bride, Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza and Molotov Solution. So far the tour has been amazing. All of the people on the package are awesome and we're all having a lot of fun. Not only is Suicide Silence probably the biggest headliner we have gone out with but they are also probably the most down to earth band and and are very cool to us. On this tour we are playing a little bigger venues than we have previously been used to. Having bigger stages to run around on has helped our live show a bit too. The crowds have been very responsive to our new material. We're all counting down the days till October 25th. We can't wait to unleash Revenants on the music world."

"Thy Eternal Sin is officially released on Monday 11th October. It will be available initially in two formats. For an electronic version (again Ltd to 100) you will need to forward your e mail address here. Both formats will be free. Bahn however asks that each individual makes a small donation to a charity of their own choice. Bahn particularly supports 'Cancer Care' charities. "The album will be re issued in December. In the meantime Abalam is set for change. Full band status is now set and 'live' dates for 2011 are already being planned. As a footnote. The 'religious zealots/fundamentalists' who have chosen to attack Abalam throughout, and particularly recently, Bahn has this message: 'Your views are of no consequence to either Abalam or the hordes that oppose you and your pathetic organizations. Your hatred towards us is very amusing as we have succeeded in gaining a reaction from you. Our message is this. We are strong and we are many. Fuck you all and fuck your religions.'"
