Kruger has issued the following update on band's MySpace page:
"As we're faithful in love and sex, we're cheating with bass players! The October tour will finally be done along with Tvo, aka Thierry Van Osselt. He was Knut's former bass player (yep, we barely change...). We're still looking for the right guy to help us out on the few other slots, until the only one and original Kruger bassist Blaise comes back from Canada next January. We're looking forward to this 5000 km 'one beer per hundred miles tour', starting next Friday. Hope to catch you on the road!"
Vesania has been forced to postpone their fall tour until the end of 2008, as their drummer has joined Dimmu Borgir on tour and the schedules of the two bands are in conflict. Here's \what the band had to say:
"The tour which was planned for the beginning of autumn has been postponed till the last months of 2008.
"The reason? - The fact that prooves the strengh of Polish metal scene and the class of its musicians. The drummer of VESANIA, also known from VADER - Daray - has become a member of DIMMU BORGIR - a band that doesn't need introduction to metal fans. Their concert plans have coincided with the plans of Vesania and Creative Music. That's why we are obliged to apologise to Polish fans and postpone the Vesania tour in Poland making sure that the additional time will be used to prepare it even better.
"We will be back with an even more venomous and hellish sound. The info about the new dates will be up soon. Congratulations Daray! In Sorte Diaboli!"

"We are extremely excited to say we have booked studio time in December, to begin tracking our new album which we have titled The Ones I Condemn. Until then, we will be getting the songs as tight as possible, because we will be miking the drums without samples and without click tracks to sound human, and really feel the fury of the new tracks. We may post some demo stuff here soon.

Lamb Of God has been replaced my Machine Head on the Los Angeles dates of the Metallica tour. Here's the announcement from Metallica:
"As you may have heard, the owners of the Los Angeles Forum have a little issue with our friends from Lamb of God, so unfortunately they will not be joining us for the two shows at the Forum on December 17 and 18. That's the bad news... the good news is that our bros in Machine Head are rushing back to the States from Europe to step in on those two nights. And of course no show would be complete without The Sword kicking things off, so they'll be there too."
Lamb of God was previously banned from performing at the church-owned (then-named) Great Western Forum in April of 2005 on the Subliminal Verses tour with Slipknot because church leaders were offended by the group's previous name, Burn the Priest.
In a statement on the band's Web site, drummer Chris Adler called the church's decision back in 2005 "a bit ridiculous."
"If they had taken the time to look into what we do and who we are as a band, I don't think they would have made the same decision," he told The Associated Press in 2005.
"They have made it clear that they do not want us because of our name, our show and our crowd," Adler said. "The word from the powers that be is that Lamb of God is not the wholesome family fun that the good people of Los Angeles deserve."

Cradle Of Filth frontman Dani Filth recently gave an interview with MetalSucks.net in which he discussed the bands forthcoming new album, "Godspeed On The Devils Thunder" and more. You can read some excerpts below:
MetalSucks: Yeah we know a little of it [the new album]. It's about Gilles de Rais? We know the basics.
Dani Filth: "Yeah, Gilles de Rais. Well, basically he was a French aristocrat war hero who fought alongside Joan of Arc. He became Grand Marshall of France in the 15th century. After Joan was burnt at the stake, he went back to his castle. He was the wealthiest person in Europe. He started venerating her death by staging a huge play which he took around various parts of France. Thousands of people went and it would be a three day event, and all the food and beer was paid for by him. So it was an enormous amount of money that he just blew, so because his enormous fortune wasn't lasting, he turned to alchemists. He was trying to find the philosopher's stone to turn base metal into gold in order to refill his coffers. He then slid into demonology and eventually murder and sexual excess. He pretty much ended up at the gates of hell. It's a pretty full-on story. The myth kind of turned into a dark fairy-tale. In the end the church actually forgave him. He was excommunicated, and the records from his trial were used to buffer out the tracks. Originally we used Tony Todd from Candyman [as the narrator for the album], but something went quite wrong there. He wasn't told exactly what the score was, so he came to the studio and said 'I'm not doing this.' Fortunately at the eleventh hour we were bailed out by a friend of Doug Bradley [The actor who plays Pinhead in the Hellraiser films. - Ed.]. We setup a makeshift studio at my house before he was set to jet off to some comic convention."
MetalSucks: So why Gilles de Rais? You obviously did a lot of research.
Dani Filth: "We came back from headlining the Viva La Bands Tour last year, and we had a lot of fire in our bellies. We had a bit of time before Christmas, about six weeks, and by the end of this we had the skeletons of about five or six tracks at which point I went "Oh shit, I really want to get a common thread in this record." The atmosphere of the music that we made was dramatic, symphonic, fast, and melodic, and it reminded me of our album ten years previous, Cruelty and the Beast, which was about Hungarian blood countess Elizabeth Bathory. So when I was looking over the notes, I just tripped over the fact that Gilles de Rais kept coming up because you can't mention one without the other if you look back and study it. I remember I thought it would be a great thing at the time, but obviously I was more interested in Bathory. So we couldn't release two albums that were that similar at the time, but with ten years under our belts I looked back and the story is bigger, better and a lot darker. So over Christmas last year I got absorbed in it and did a lot of research. Fortunately the co-writer of the Gospel of Filth, which is unpublished at the moment, is this historian and he's addressed Cambridge or Oxford or something and he was able to help me out with that."

Thrash metal gods Slayer has made two important announcements regarding the bands shows in London soon. The first is that on the first night in London, the band will perform their classic 1986 album, "Reign In Blood" from start to finish. On the second night in London, the band will be filming the concert for a brand new live DVD. The band will also be performing the whole "Reign In Blood" album at both Swedish shows. This is part of the Unholy Alliance tour with Trivium, Mastodon and Amon Amarth which is currently trekking across Europe. More details will follow soon.
Malevolent Creation has announced the cancellation of their "Death Before Dishonor" headlining European tour, which was slated to also include Vital Remains and Wykked Wytch.
The band comments: "The situation was beyond the band's control as they never received the contracts or plane tickets they we're promised by Yohan and Jenny of 'X Factor Booking Agency.' Instead, it was brought to the band's attention that the Agency was using the tour to embezzle money from the venue deposits!"

New York's Grey Skies Fallen have issued the following update regarding their "new direction" regarding the way they will be releasing future albums:
"For the last 12 years, we have followed the same path over and over again - we'd write a lot of stuff, record it, release it on our own, see the album be forgotten about almost instantly, sink into the dreaded realm of 'unproductive-ness,' fighting, breaking up, opening GSF organic health food chains, getting back together, argue some more, and then someone will say. 'Hey! We should do an album!' While the music always changes on each album, the process that comes before or after, does not." More...
Nine Inch Nails mainman Trent Reznor has issued a post South American tour update, in which he also mentions that Josh Freese will be parting with the band on tour at the end of the year. Here is the update:
"South America, thank you very much! We had a great time performing for you and hanging out in your neck of the woods. I promise we'll be back before long and again I apologize for the cancellations (those were OUR fault and not the promoter's).
"On another note, Josh Freese fans be sure to check out a show on the upcoming North American leg of the tour, as sadly they will be the last ones he's playing with us. He informed me he's leaving the tour at the end of this year. Yes, we are still dear friends. No, I'm not sure what we are going to do. See you in Mexico!"
Children Of Bodom members Roope Latvala and Henkka Blacksmith have both posted new tour reports online. You can read them below.
Henkka: "I don't know what it is, but Ohio was crazy! I personally had two of the craziest nights of the tour in that state. First Columbus, showday, and then Cleveland, where we had a day off. We went to see AMORPHIS and those guys pulled off a great show. Then they mixed some hell of a drinks in their bus. I think it was the late night Jagerbombs that did the trick. Or the always so good (but dangerous) Fisu. Anyway, was fun and somehow we got back to the hotel (?). In Columbus, after the show some of us got invited to a house party for beers and drinking games. I wanna thank the hosts for their hospitality, if they ever read this. We had good times! You guys rule. Roope might tell more about the finger fairy later. I personally never met this creature here. Shows in Ohio, and Rochester were fine, and so were the crowds. Last three shows to go."
Roope: "I was able to play yesterday. It's healing pretty quickly. I got some gloves that I have been wearing. The bad news is, Alexi got bit by the finger fairy, though it is only on his right hand."
Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx has posted the following update online:
"Hey, all, Mexico has been wonderful to us. The fans are so kind and welcoming. We've had some great shows down here, but now it's time to say good-bye. Today we're off to Argentina for our first visit ever. I can't believe we're finally going to South America to play. The band is ecstatic, to say the least.
"I'm in my room, slowly packing up my mess. It doesn't take me long to destroy a room, three days worth of room service trays overflowing with half pots of coffee and barley eatin' food. Computer cables, hard drives and camera lenses are scattered to all four corners. Hotels aren't my favourite 'cause they slow me down. I miss my creative space back home, but I do my best to drag as much as possible around the world with me. This time I chose to not bring as much stuff. Sometimes the squeeze ain't worth the juice.
