Since the venue is not by law able to hold this many people, and since we certainly don’t want anyone to get turned away at the door on Friday, we have decided on short notice to do a second show on Saturday Oct-09 at El Corazon.
"Due to the short notice, tickets will be at a reduced price as compared to the Friday show, and the venue will be refunding the $2.50 difference in ticket price to the first 150 ticket holders of the Friday show who are willing and able to attend the Saturday show. We hope this resolves the issue and we look forward to playing two great shows for all of our Seattle fans."

We will have our new album released by then and we will perform songs from our new album as well as our previous releases, The Law Of One, and In Your Eyes EP. Slodust has issued the following announcement about streaming three songs online as a thanks to the fan:
"Today we pass the 100,000 click line! We are very VERY happy and thankful to all of those of you who have checked out the Slodust-music. And as a 'thank you,' we will put up...not one.....not two... but three new songs on MySpace! The songs are live from our '10 year celebrate' show of Slodust first demo.
"The songs are: 'Tango' This is a song that have been around like forever! In Slodust, a good heavy song! We always play it live...so far... 'War Rabbit' The first of the 'new' songs that going to be on the record. We wanted a slow, heavy intro, and then...'all hell break lose' -feeling. And I think we succeeded with that... 'Made to be Trampled.' With this one we wanted to have a slow guitar-based build up to a fist punch right in the face! And its a kind of a tricky, fast riff/beat after the intro, so you don't know what hit you until the heavy verse kicks in. So, ones again, thank you out there! We start recording the new record December 2nd. Peace!"

Southern California progressive deathcore act Winds Of Plague have entered a Los Angeles studio with producer Matt Hyde to begin recording its new album for an early 2011 release through Century Media Records.
Vocalist Johnathan Cooke commented by saying:
"Coming off of Mayhem (the biggest tour of our career) was inspiring to say the least. Literally the day after Mayhem fest ended we were in the studio hard at work on new material. Fast forward a few weeks and we are now into week one of the recording process for our new album (yet to be named).
"We set out with producer Matt Hyde to raise the bar for Winds Of Plague both as a band and as musicians. We put a lot of our writing focus into the energy and the structure of the songs and everything else just seemed to fall into place naturally.
"Although it is early in the recording process, I can confidently say this will be our best offering yet. Both fans of 'Decimate The Weak' and 'The Great Stone War' will be pleased for we haven’t altered the formula or strayed from our roots, but injected them with rage and fury. The game certainly will change in 2011."

New York's Amalgama has checked in with the following update about the release of the new EP "Amethyst:"
"A hello from the great city of Albany here in upstate New York! It's raining, which means it's officially fall. That also means that snow is just around the corner and we're all getting ready to do battle with the elements once again. One upside to the cooling (OMG global climate change!1!!11!) is that our rehearsal space, normally sweltering, has become more tolerable to be in for extended periods of time.
"You know what else is here? Yes, the long awaited release of our latest EP Amethyst. The artwork went through finally tweaking, the packaging designed and formatted, and the tracks uploaded and sent off to our distributor. It's a glorious thing to see those shiny cases come out of the box and head right back out the door to our fans around the world. Querys on when it was going to be available were hitting our inbox and Facebook page pretty reliably over the last few weeks but the day has finally arrived.
"There are a multitude of locations you can get the new disc in both digital and physical format, including iTunes, CDbaby (physical copies available now!), Amazon, Napster, and even Spotify (not currently available in the US). The use of the old photograph, in which women performing the Nazi salute are depicted, on our MySpace website doesn't reflect our political, social, and philosophical beliefs. It actually does quite the contrary.
"We would neither share a stage with nor play for anybody, who condones racist, fascist, nationalist or sexist ideology. This is the conviction we've held dear for years now and rest assured - it will never change. Having said that, we are not going to add people or bands whose credibility in regards to that matter is not completely sure. Let's fight Nazi scum - good night white pride!"

U.S. based folk/black metal act Falls of Rauros recently revealed in an interview with Lunar Hypnosis that the band has begun work on a new album, which will also include a performance by Austin Lunn of Panopticon. An excerpt from the interview follows:
We've recently begun recording a new full-length. Hopefully this won't take too long to complete, but issues always seem to come up. Austin Lunn (Panopticon, Seidr) is performing drums on this record as a session musician and he's done a great job. He really saved us from our lack-of-drummer inactivity the past couple years. Other than that, we have a track recorded for a split with Hallowed Butchery, a prog/psych/doom project also from Maine. It will just be one song by each band on this, so most likely a 7" record. Once he completes his half we'll begin searching for a label to release it. Ray decided to practice drums since finding a drummer in Maine is not at all easy. He played drums on the split track and will continue to on future recordings as well as live shows.
You can check out the complete interview at this location.

We already have some 'sketches,' some riffs and melodies composed, waiting to evolve to full songs ( and please, please...expect a new direction : it won't be 'A Journey Through Darkness Pt II' ). When will that happen? It's way to soon to try and predict a date."
Los Angeles metal band ABYSMAL DAWN recently wrapped up the recording and mixing process to their new album and follow up to 2008's "Programmed to Consume."
"We've been working on and off in the studio on this album since May and now we're finally done," commented ABYSMAL DAWN guitarist/vocalist Charles Elliott. "After a series of set backs, illness, and going through a world of shit in our personal lives, we had no choice but to make this record our revenge and the defining moment for ABYSMAL DAWN. We've had the finished mixes for about a week now and everyone that has heard it has been just blown away. We can already tell that this will be the record that the band will become known for. It's a very varied, extreme, technical, and melodic record and I can promise you that no one will be disappointed."
