Fornhem Posts Title Track Of New Album Online

Fornhem ("Ancient Home)" have released the glacial title track of their forthcoming new album "Stämman Från Berget" ("The Voice from the Mountain"), which is scheduled to hit the stores on November 5, 2021. The Swedish black metal trio has previously revealed the tracklist and further details of their harsh second full-length, which can be viewed below, where you can also check out the song.

Fornhem comment: "While reading the first chapters of Friedrich Nietzsche's 'Also sprach Zarathustra', I found myself fascinated with the romantic setting of a hermit living on a mountain for ten years", philosophises drummer, vocalist, and lyricist Vafthrudner. "With only a serpent and an eagle – which are symbolically quite interesting animals by the way – as friends, the hermit strives to find illumination. Once he reaches enlightenment, the hermit descends from the mountain to the next village to pronounce a simple yet profoundly provocative truth: 'Gott ist tot' – God is dead. As this album starts with a song about the desperation of losing one's God or indeed, the loneliness of existence, this track closes a circle. We have reached the same conclusion as Zarathustra: God is dead. Therefore Emptiness rules again and it is up to ourselves, not to find, but to give meaning to our lives." More...

Agarthic Reveals Debut Album Details

Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to welcome the new Italian symphonic metal act Agarthic to their roster, with the group’s debut album "The Inner Side" set for release on 10th December. Recorded under the direction of producer Aldo Lonobile (Secret Sphere, Archon Angel, Timo Tolkki’s Avalon), its announcement is accompanied by a single entitled "A Journey To The End Of The World."

Based in Northern Italy, Agarthic was founded in 2019 by composer and bassist Mattia Gosetti and vocalist Valeriano De Zordo, two musicians who had already worked together several times, albeit never in a band environment. The line-up of the band is completed by guitarist Jesai Fiabane and drummer Denis Novello.

"As a big fan of rock and metal music, I've always been enthusiastic about the albums released by certain labels," states De Zordo. "I remember reading album booklets when I was just a kid, imagining seeing my name printed in one someday. Who would have ever imagined that happening with one of the most important labels of today?” In regard to the central concept of ‘The Inner Side’, he continues: “For several years, I've been interested in knowing all the ancient legends and mysteries about the forgotten history of our planet, especially theories about the hollow earth. I've always been fascinated by it. When the chance to make an album was offered, the task was easy; all I had to do was combine my two major passions and turn these themes into music!" More...

The Last Ten Seconds Of Life Announces New Album

The Last Ten Seconds Of Life return with new single "The Sabbath" and announce the release of their new self-titled album, out 28th January 2022 via new label Unique Leader.

Watch the video to "The Sabbath" below.

TLTSOL now return to the fold in 2022 with a career defining self-titled album. Straddling the Nu Metal, Rock, Death Metal and Downtempo genres in equal measure, TLTSOL have created a magnum opus of a record that will appeal equally to fans of Korn & Slipknot as much as it will to fans of Alice in Chains or Pantera.

The band comment on the album: "The pinnacle of malevolence, crushing riffs, and unbound lyricism that listeners have come to love and identify with us. Unique Leader is the perfect home to release this monster and we are more than excited to work with the brand to deliver this album to the masses."

A Pennsylvania-bred deathcore band with a relentless, ferocious attack – and a name taken from a Smiths song – TLTSOL emerged in 2010 and have since become a major name on the underground rock scene with their emotionally intense and physically punishing sound. More...

Ravenous To Record Live DVD In Edmonton

Canada’s Ravenous will be unleashing their new album "Hubris" on October 22nd via Feast Beast Records for North America plus Europe and for Asia via Spiritual Beast.

Before the full-length officially drops, the band is hosting two CD release shows for Alberta fans in Edmonton and Calgary. The Edmonton event will be hosted on October 9th at The Starlite Room, which will include a live DVD recording in support of "Hubris" and for their hometown crowd in Calgary, they will be performing on October 15th at Dickens.

The band hints at what attendees can expect from their live show:

"First-time fans can expect our performance and costumes to be akin to going to a Queen show in their early pub days, but with fast-riffs, blast beats, and more crowd-singing than you can shake a claw at! Our fans have a tendency to make people feel welcome, like joining a giant IRL Discord server, so the fans all become friends over time and that community not only strengthens us as a band, but also boosts the rest of the industry, so first-timers will find they left the show with more friends than they came in with!"

Details for the CD release shows can be found on Ravenous' Facebook page here.

Bornholm Posts New Lyric Video Online

With over 20 years of experience and five studio albums under their belts, Hungarian black/pagan metal outfit Bornholm are no longer strangers to the scene. Today, the band presents the second single, "Spiritual Warfare," from their exciting Napalm Records debut and brand-new, fifth studio album, "Apotheosis," out November 5, 2021.

With "Spiritual Warfare", Bornholm present a nearly melodic facet of their sonic spectrum - mixing their trademark black metal sound with dashes of pagan and folk metal whilst prominent frantic drumming and forceful riffing underlines their somber side.

Ever since bursting onto the scene in 2000, Bornholm has been an unstoppable force in the black and pagan metal realms, touring with household names like Ex Deo, Varg, Arkona and many more. With their upcoming offering, Apotheosis, the unit is ready to take its career to another level and set the stage with sinister first single "I Am War God." Mixing significant, ground-shaking black metal elements, ruthless growling and heroic pagan accents, the band absolutely showcases their variety and sonic progression.

Bornholm's guitarist/vocalist Sahsnot on "Spiritual Warfare":
"This song is a special song for me, in addition to hitherto unusual musical solutions, it also displays a lyrical apocalyptic vision. It contains biblical references, abstract visions, ritual magic. Behind the scenes of the physical world, warfare always takes place primarily among spiritual forces, which is the real driving force behind. This causes changes in the visible world. Which side is which is not so clear-cut, whether there are any sides at all or just one will. While it’s not a fast track, it still has the fastest part on the album. The cover painting is my work, just like all the visuals related to the album, it was brought to life greatly." More...
