Machine Made Slave
Machine Made Slave plays frequently around New Orleans. If you’ve read my show reports, you’re sure to remember the name. Soon they’ll be opening for Watain and Goatwhore to complete the black metal showcase. Through the many lineup changes, founding members and brothers Jason and Trevor Milbourne (on vocals and bass, respectively) have remained and transformed the band into something truly evil. The talented guitarists Rene and Kevin Roche, who are also brothers, combine a classic metal rawness with black metal melodies and even some South American tunes into their playing. And although Ryan Willis does not have a brother in the band, he still does a fine job of pounding the skins. Jason claims that Machine Made Slave will be recording a full-length album soon when they find a proper studio. He claims that they are taking their time with every aspect of the album so that it’s perfect; “So that it doesn’t sound like a demo.” You can watch a clip of one of their shows with the inclusion of female singer Amy Vial below. We wish you luck in the recording process! Visit their Myspace to see their progress.
Acrassicauda has issued the following statement about canceling New York shows:
"After conversations with the Nuclear Assault team it is clear that they are looking to streamline their shows on the current run and asking certain support and opening acts to modify their involvement at the shows to help offset many of the expenses inherent with the touring element of their business. We have max respect for N.A.'s amazing support of regional and national bands in support slots, yet, at this time, we decided to step aside from the current tour cycle and let Nuclear Assault continue their sonic mayhem and kick a lot of ass - however, it will be just without us aboard for the current run of gigs.
"Although this will be disappointing to a lot of our fans we have decided to respect where Nuclear Assault is coming from and ask that anyone seeking a great evening of metal be ready to kick it with the N.A. guys. - With max respect and respect for the brotherhood of METAL: Acrassicauda..."

"It is our unfortunate task to inform that Kita is no longer a member of Lordi. Kita has made a decision to pursue his own career publicly as himself, without his alter ego Kita. Sweden's Hostile Cell had previously posted a statement online about a negative review from Sweden Rock Magazine. The band has now posted the following comments clarifying the original statement:
"It seems that some people were quite offended by my last statement. I just want to clarify what I actually meant: I totally respect every review we get, and I don't care if it's good or bad. As long as it's made by a professional and has content, it's all good. But if you are a writer for one of the bigger rock mags, you don't trash an album just because it's in a different genre than what you prefer.
"If it has good production, and song structures, either you give it to someone who understands that type of music or you rate it for what it is. Because you should be better at rating music than the average listener. You are a professional music writer.
"I don't write music for critics, I write music for people who want to listen to it. I think it's stupid to say that 'I don't care what people say or think about my music.' There is nothing better than seeing people headbanging in the audience or writing in some forum that Hostile Cell is one of the best new bands out there. It makes my day! If you don't agree with me, it's fine. Keep reading the blog, there will be more news shortly!"

Gyri is very excited to share the stage with Silje again in this new context!"
Silje also commented: "I am honored to be singing with the nice guys and gals of Tristania here in my hometown Bergen. I've been following the band since Gyri joined them and really like their new sound and album Rubicon. It will be great fun to play with Gyri again as with Kjetil, Mariangela and the rest of the band."

11. To Bear the Unbearable
"On Divine Winds" was produced by Ed Warby and mixed once again by Dan Swanö.
Comments singer Martin van Drunen: "This time Hail of Bullets takes on the Pacific War. The expansion of the Empire of Japan throughout Asia, introducing a full scale war using all forces combined. The massive strike back of the Americans, whose marines bravely fought many tough and bloody battles on now forgotten insulate islands spread throughout the whole Pacific. This led to desperate Japanese defense tactics such as Kamikaze, human bullets and suicidal Banzai charges. Until finally, incendiary bombings brought the empire to its knees."
Comments drummer Ed Warby: "I don't think I've ever worked this hard on anything in my entire life, but it sure has paid off! Although …Of Frost And War is a tough act to follow, my ringing ears tell me we've succeeded in besting it on every level: songs, playing, production… at the moment Dan Swanö is putting the final touches on a mix that could squash a tank, and then it's off to the pressing plant! All the main ingredients of our blood 'n' guts style death metal have remained intact and I honestly can't imagine anyone that liked our previous work is going to be the least bit disappointed… on the contrary!"
Earlier this year Danish melodic death metal band Descensus announced that they were hitting CB-studios in Holsted to record two brand new songs.
