Leprous has checked in from Tillburg, Holland with a second blog from the band's current tour dates. An excerpt from the road report follows:
"The day started approximately 2.5 hours after yesterday ended. At 6:30 it was time to leave for Mönchengladbach, to meet up with the nightliner (the bus we’re sleeping in during the tour). It was an energized duo, consisting of me and Einar, who was the lucky two given this self rewarding assignment. After a couple of detours we found ourselves at MZES bus company, where we met our bus driver Scott.
"We soon realized that we we’re in serious need of some additional storage capacity, as the storage room under the bus couldn’t hold half of our gear, and so we had to hire a trailer. Can’t get enough of those extra expenses! :D After parking our van at some random parking spot in Mönchengladbach, it was time to check out the interior of the bus.
"Considering the fact that we hadn’t slept all that much the last 24h, we also found this a suitable time to check out the sleeping facilities of the bus. While we slept, Scott drove us back to Tilburg for the preparations for our first concert of the tour. After crossing the border to the Netherlands something happened to the bus door, so we got ourselves an additional three hours of sleep, waiting for someone to fix the door. Thanks to this we returned to Tilburg relaxed and ready to prep for the concert. More...

Gore-metal band EXHUMED are currently in the studio recording their first full-length album since 2003’s "Anatomy Is Destiny." EXHUMED guitarist/vocalist/founder Matt Harvey, bassist Leon DelMuerte and guitarist Wes Caley are currently at Arcane Digital Recording in Arizona working with engineer Ryan Butler (MISERY INDEX) to record vocals, bass and guitar tracks. EXHUMED drummer Danny Walker previously laid down his drum tracks at Trench Studios with John Haddad (ABYSMAL DAWN, INTRONAUT). Mixing and mastering will be handled by Brian Elliott (GRAVES OF VALOR) at Mana Recording Studios (CANNIBAL CORPSE, GOATWHORE, NILE).
Matt Harvey recently checked in from the studio with the following update, "So far we're really psyched on what's been oozing out of the speakers! The guitars are sounding really aggressive right out of the box. I can't wait to get into the vocals and flesh out the songs. We have 18 songs to work through while we're here and then we'll sort through and cherry-pick the heaviest, ugliest tracks for the new record, which is gonna be titled "All Guts, No Glory". I think it builds on all the best shit from our first three records and should disgust and revolt any poseurs out there!"
"All Guts, No Glory" is expected to see a spring 2011 release date.

Guitarist/vocalist Ashmedi of Melechesh has posted the fifth and final installment of the track-by-track breakdown for the new album "Epigenesis," which can be found below. Melechesh has also posted the song "Grand Gathas Of Baal Sin" from the new album on the band's MySpace page.
10. A Greater Chain of Being “This is an instrumental with traditional near eastern instruments. This music represents sufi music or ancient eastern classical music. This is not very common in mainstream society and in the middle east it is considered underground! It is profound and spiritual and meant for you to confront yourself while meditating or tripping. We have done such compositions in the past because we feel close to them. It is another dimension of MELECHESH. Many of our audiences asked us to compose more songs like this because they do not have access to such music. It was a treat to oblige, even though we would have done it in either case. Turn the lights off, computer off, phone off and go on a trip."
11. The Epigenesis “Some have called it one of our most accomplished songs performed with 12 string electric guitars. Some have called it a journey into the world of MELECHESH. Some called it MELECHESH in psychedelic mode. I call it another song, albeit self indulgent. We did not want to make a demo for this track, but rather develop it during several writing sessions often lasting into the morning hours. We wanted the listener to feel as if they were right there with us in the rehearsal room. The guitar leads were improvised and it gave an impromptu feel to the song. Leads were recorded late at night without an agenda. The hallways of the studio doubled as reverb outlets . Yes the reverbs in this song were ‘handmade’ by putting a microphone in the hallway to pick up the distant and echo sound of our guitars. Many things happened while recording this song that made it all work like a perfectly built puzzle. You can hear elaborate middle eastern melodies, heavy metal, thrash metal and psychedelic rock all in the same track. The longest track we have ever written. One verse in our lyrics refers to all our album titles. A very interesting concept for us. This is the testimony of The Epigenesis.”
