MUDVAYNE has teamed up with the METALSUCKS.NET to give the fans a taste of their new self-titled album. METALSUCKS.NET is currently hosting an exclusive stream of the new MUDVAYNE track “Heard It All Before.” This is the only place you can hear the song until the album comes out in December.
MUDVAYNE is back with a self-titled release that will hit stores on December 22, 2009. The band's last record “The New Game,” produced two hit singles; the #1 ‘Do What You Do’ and ‘Scarlet Letters’ are continuing to receive massive radio airplay and video rotation on MTV2 and Fuse.
The packaging for the new album is revolutionizing album artwork design, as this is the first album to ever use black light reactive ink. Every bit of art and text in the packaging of the record will be printed on ink that can only be seen with a black light.
The album will be available in three formats. Those include, the standard jewel case edition, a deluxe edition that comes with a black light, and the super deluxe edition that includes a larger black light, a special edition black light reactive poster, and more.
AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE, the California group consisting of As I Lay Dying's Tim Lambesis and famed action hero Ahhnold, has just released the band's second single off of Double Brutal. The track "Who Told You, You Could Eat My Cookies" was inspired by the Arnie movie Jingle All the Way and will go live on the AUSTRIAN DEATH MACHINE MySpace page this Halloween. "I was so excited people thought my vocals sounded like cookie monster that I jumped at the chance to write a song about COOKIES!" comments Tim.
Go here this Halloween to check out the song "Who Told You, You Could Eat My Cookies."
Motionless In White just released a cover of Rob Zombie's "Dragula" on their MySpace player just in time for Halloween. The band posted the following update about it:
"We are so excited for this Halloween weekend, is everyone ready for it?. Along with the costume's, the parties and the candy, we've added to the celebration and recorded a cover song for you all. We decided to cover Rob Zombie's song, "Dragula" and it's now up on our Myspace page.
"We chose to do Rob Zombie's Dragula because we really wanted to do a cover song as sort of a Halloween surprise for our fans and give everyone something new to listen to while we are finishing up our new record. We didn't want to cover a rap or pop song but rather really wanted to embrace the fact that we are different and do something that would be a challenge and shock people as well as having it be something that fit our style and our image perfectly. Rob Zombie in our eyes is a hero and one of the front runners of shock rock and we definitely idolize him as an artist and musician. We feel that Dragula is one of the most Badass songs that was ever written in that genre and are honored to have been able to incorporate our own "Motionless In White style" to it. We really hope everyone loves it and thank you so so much to all of our amazing fans who have been keeping us going! Happy Halloween!"
The band has a bunch of tour dates planned this fall/winter with In This Moment, In Fear and Faith, and Agraceful. Here are the latest: More...

Without question one of the most iconic names in the rock and metal scene, Rob Zombie has had a huge impact on the musical landscape. Between working with the legendary White Zombie, moving on to a successful solo career, directing gore-heavy horror flicks, and getting to see Sherri Moon Zombie perform strip teases on something other than a TV screen, Rob lives most metal fan’s dream life.
Rob has been a busy little zombie of late directing “Halloween 2,” releasing the animated film “The Haunted World of El Superbeasto,” and preparing to unleash his new solo album “Hellbilly Deluxe 2.” I recently had the opportunity to take part in a press conference with Rob Zombie where he answered a series of questions about the new album and his plans for upcoming movies. "If you've been playing Guitar Hero on the Wii, you may have noticed that we were short a few songs when it came to ‘Death Magnetic’ - well no more! Our friends at Guitar Hero have been working long and hard with Nintendo so that Wii fans can now play the eight ‘Death Magnetic’ songs not previously available for that gaming system.
"Starting November 24, additional tracks from ‘Death Magnetic’ will be available as downloadable singles for 200 Wii points each. If you're keeping score, that would be ‘All Nightmare Long’, ‘That Was Just Your Life’, ‘The Day That Never Comes’, ‘The Judas Kiss’, ‘The End Of The Line’, ‘The Unforgiven III’, ‘Suicide & Redemption J.H.’ and ‘Suicide & Redemption K.H.’ Enjoy!"
Periphery has posted a video tour diary online of their time on the Thrash and Burn tour. The video clip can be viewed below.
Power Quest has issued the following announcement about canceling their appearance at the Rock of Ages festival on November 22nd:
"Power Quest has taken the decision to cancel their performance at Rock of Ages festival scheduled for 22.11.09 in London at The Bridgehouse. Unfortunately terms and conditions could not be agreed between the band’s management team and the promoter which means that the band would be facing a financial loss. We are very sad to have to have reached this decision and hope that any fans that brought tickets based on Power Quest appearance will understand our position.
“We are truly disappointed that we won’t be able to play, but promise our fans, that we will be on the road again in the UK in December. Further details will be announced shortly. We would also like to thank all the fans that came out to see us on our headline UK dates in October, as well as playing with Tarja. We really enjoyed hanging out with all our fans and are very pleased about the positive feedback we received on our new line-up.”

Austrian metallers Serenity have issued the following announcement about working on a new album:
"Serenity will play 2 more gigs in ..Tyrol.. right after our touring activities with Threshold!
14.11.2009 PMK in ....Innsbruck...., support Desert Sin & t.b.a.
21.11.2009 Prägraten in Osttirol, with Emergency Gate and Horizon Divine
"These will be the last shows you will see us promoting our latest album Fallen Sanctuary. We are in the middle of the songwriting process for the next big SERENITY release and we are already working with our producer Oliver Philips of Everon and our artworks designer Gustavo Sazes on the new material. We will take some more time right after the Threshold tour for finishing all new songs and for polishing structures, voice changes, soloing, vocal lines and of course lyrics. This will probably take time till January and we will head to the studio when we are ready. Luckily we are in a position where we are able to enter studio without a fixed time schedule a year ahead. And our preproduction will already include all orchestrations and voicings, so we won't need that much time for orchestrations and these things. This will save us at least 2 months!!!! Status Quo on the songs: 3 songs fixed, another ..4 in.. their final stages, ideas, parts, lines & basic structures for another 4-6 songs, and 2-3 songs were put away (not good enough in our meaning - by the way: we never did that before!) Sweden's Tribulation has issued the following announcement about working on new material to record next year:
"It's been almost a year since the release of the critically acclaimed debut album 'The Horror' and Tribulation would like to thank everyone who has bought the album so far, and everyone who showed up on the 'Icons of Evil'-tour last spring making it such a victorious journey for us. Since then we've played some occasional gigs, among them at the Thunders over Miriquidi Festival in Germany along side the mighty Death SS & Törr.
"Next year we'll mainly be focusing on writing and recording a new album. New material is more or less boiling up and emerging from everywhere, forcing it's way out into existence. It is lethal venom and it's deadlier than ever before. Nest year will also see Tribulation continuing playing live. Some festivals are booked and more is to come. Another tour is also in the making. Nothing more can be said about this at the moment, but in time..."

Irish metallers Gama Bomb will be offering their new album "Tales From The Grave In Space" as a free download through Earache Records starting on November 5th. The band put together the following Q & A about the album to answer fan questions:
"Do you have questions? Frequently? About our new album? Well, here are the answers you never asked for, and we never wanted to give. We hope you're happy now.
"Q. In giving us your new album for free you are really spoiling us, but will there be a physical release of Tales from the Grave in Space? I like CDs and records and stuff. A. Yes, there will be! The plan is to release Tales... as a deluxe CD and vinyl in January 2010. The extra treat is that the album's physical release will include an EP, titled Half Cut, which will not be available for GB-approved download. Half Cut consists of five new, never-before-recorded tracks laid down especially for the EP. There'll also be an extra-special boxed set at some point with CDs, vinyl, a t-shirt and art and all that stuff.
"Q. How come your record label are up for giving your album, which cost money to record, away for free? A. Well, it's because they're undertaking an experiment. Our label, Earache Records, are known for trying out different things, and this to them is a new way of releasing that will hopefully boost interest in the band and lead to more profit for them when they wheel out our physical release and all that jazz. To us, it's about the music reaching more potential fans and raising our profile, so we've got twin goals that don't conflict too much. Get it?
"Q. What is the fastest land mammal? A. The Cheetah. More...
Romanian black metallers Negura Bunget have issued the following statement about dropping off their upcoming tour with Satyricon:
"We regret to announce that Negura Bunget is forced to cancel its participation on the Satyricon tour from December. The whole tour plans are poorly fixed for the moment, and the main organizer, Vain Productions, has been doing some strange arrangements concerning Negura Bunget, announcing us then canceling us from gigs without being informed, so we are now forced to cancel our participation. We made a lot of sacrifices to make this tour happen for us, so we regret doing this, but at the same time the way things are happening, it would just be a waste of energy for something that doesn’t look to happen in good conditions.
"For all the people who wanted to see us, we announce now officially that we will be doing a full European Tour in spring next year, promoting our new album 'Vîrstele pamîntului', as well as the soon to be released live DVD 'Focul Viu' and 'Maiestrit' our 'Maiastru sfetnic' album re-recording. We hope to see you all there under better circumstances."
Pestilence has been rejoined by their former bassist Jeroen Paul Thesseling (Obscura) after a 15 year hiatus. Jeroen commented: "After such a long period of time it's great to be part of Pestilence again. I'm convinced that this cooperation will result in brilliant technical death metal. In order to avoid misunderstandings I want to emphasize that I will continue to work with my German colleagues of Obscura as well."
Patrick Mameli of Pestilence stated: "I'm very happy to welcome Jeroen once more to the Pestilence camp. Also a big thanks goes out to Tony Choy, who succesfully participated on the 'Resurrection' album and tour. We all wish him the best of luck in the future!!! Tony is just too busy that we had to find a suitable replacement. I'm convinced that Jeroen, just like Tony on 'Resurrection' , will put his signature on this new Pestilence album, that fans really don't have to compare these two great bass players with eachother. Both have a great style. Also, I would like to stress that, by no means, this collaboration with Jeroen, will result in a 'Spheres' part 2, since this is not our goal. Our goal is to create the most brutal and technical Pestilence album ever. I'm currently composing new songs with the 8 string IBANEZ, which will give Pestilence a new dimension in our own style. Keywords: Low, chuncky and a-tonal morbidity!!! So be ready to be blown away!!!"

Norwegian black metal band Throne Of Katarsis have recently expanded their line-up after seven years being a duo. Founding members Infamroth (guitars/vocals) and Vardalv (battery) have now decided to include Sanrabb, known from Gehenna (Indie Recordings), to take care of the bass-guitar permanently in the band. Throne of Katarsis is currently writing material for an upcoming album.
The band issued this statement: "Sanrabb was supposed to become our second session bass-player, but after rehearsal we understood right away that we needed this person in the band. The extreme negative energy he managed to fill the whole room with fitted us perfectly, we managed to use this to create a darker feel to the music and I think you could say we drag each other down, mentally. We have already started creating new tracks for our next album, and so far these seems more progressive than before and far more depressing. Truely more intense and harder-hitting than before! This means that former session bass-player Lord Imalas is out after five years on stage with the band. This was a natural development for the band, and no personal issues were ever involved. Lord Imalas has been a reliable and very talented bass-player, as well as a great person to deal with on tours. Respect to this man for sticking with us all these years!"
Sworn have released their new album "Bastards and Conquerors" today, October 30th through Twilight-Vertrieb. Sworn are currently streaming a new song from the album titled "The Bastard, the Conqueror" on their official MySpace page. Contrary to the previous report, Chuck Biscuits, former member of Danzig and hardcore acts such as Black Flag, Social Distortion and Circle Jerks, as well as lending his talents to Hip-Hop legends Run DMC, is apparently still alive. Confirmation that he is, in fact, still alive has yet to come back, but it seems that reports of his death stemmed from an elaborate hoax. With the source of the original report being completely fooled, yet sounding legitimate, news spread across scores of site and even Biscuits' Wikipdia entry was updated to reflect his death. Brooklyn Vegan has an indepth rundown and commentary on the whole thing if you're interested in the details.
Swedish metal band Revengia has begun work on their third album. the band issues the following update on it's progress:
"REVENGIA is in writing mode for the third, yet unnamed, record. So far 11 songs are written and one more is on it's way. The songs are heavy, fast, doomy and melodic, just as usual in REVENGIA-land! Tobbe is doing a hell of a job on the vocals, as well on the lyrics. Conny is adding some over the top drumming to the sound. So it will sound a little bit different, in a good way, but you will for sure recognize the sound."

Ukranian black metallers BALFOR has announced their signing to Pulverised Records. Self-described as as "barbaric black metal" that explores themes from their country's warrior past, the band's recently completed debut full-length, “Barbaric Blood,” is expected for release in early 2010.
Pulverised A&R manager Calvin Chiang comments, “BALFOR are one of those bands that has pretty much the whole package: Top-class musicianship and excellent songwriting prowess that perfectly describes their brand of darkened black metal. It is our pleasure to be working with BALFOR on their debut album. Expect nothing less than killer headbanging riffs blending together with the atmospheric feel that is ever so essential in black metal.” More...
In a sudden and unexpected move, multi-platinum hard rock artist Rob Zombie has inked a new worldwide deal with Roadrunner Records through its Loud & Proud imprint.

Zombie’s new album, "Hellbilly Deluxe 2," previously set for release on 11/17 will now be released by Roadrunner / Loud & Proud Records in early 2010.
“It certainly wasn’t an easy decision to make after all this time, but it had to be done,” states Zombie. “I love this new record and wanted to surround myself with an excited new group of people who can reignite my enthusiasm for working within a hard rock record label. Roadrunner seems to be the perfect place.”
“Roadrunner is thrilled to be involved with Rob Zombie on a worldwide basis as he is a multiple-threat artist whom we’ve admired for many years,” said Roadrunner president Jonas Nachsin.
Tom Lipsky, founder and president of Loud & Proud echoed Nachsin’s sentiment, “Rob Zombie hits hard on Hellbilly Deluxe 2 and the fans expect nothing less. We are excited about the monster mayhem that he is certain to create!”
