Rob Zombie's brand new single, "What?," from his upcoming album, "Hellbilly Deluxe 2: Noble Jackals, Penny Dreadfuls, and the Systematic Dehumanization of Cool," has been posted online. "Hellbilly Deluxe 2" is set for release on November 17, 2009.

The Arrow Bar in New York City will be hosting an "Axe To Fall" listening party on October 16th. They'll be playing the new Converge record during Metal Happy Hour and throughout the rest of the night, prior to its October 20th release. Here's the info:

Venomous Concept (featuring Danny Herrera and Shane Embury from Napalm Death and Kevin Sharp and Dan Lilker from Brutal Truth) are set to play their first U.K. show at the Camden Underworld in London on November 15th. Support will come from Cripple Bastards and All Will Suffer.
Divide The Day has announced that their song "Let It Roll" is now the new theme song for the WWE Friday Night SmackDown. The new WWE intro featuring the song can be found here.
New York's Sun Kills Yesterday have announced that they have recruited Richie Lutkevich on both guitars and clean vocals. Sun Kills Yesterday is currently in the process of working on a new EP which is scheduled to be finished sometime in October.
Montreal avant-garde metal band Unexpect has recently left for Europe for the European Progressive Nation Tour with Dream Theater, Opeth, and Bigelf. The band has issued the following update regarding the progress of their upcoming album and their tour:

Gwen Stacy has posted the title track from their upcoming album, "A Dialogue," on their MySpace player.
The album is available for pre-order now. You can get the album on it's own at the Solid State Store or bundled with a T-shirt here. Zambooie has the album with T-shirt and 7" record with 2 additional songs. Or you can also go to Smartpunk and get the album with a set of Gwen Stacy headphones.

Swedish thrashers Guillotine have announced some last-minute additions to their tour schedule - in Gävle and Karlstad (Sweden). After that, the band will be heading back to the studio to record their new album. Here are the new tour dates:

Florida metal band Dead Mens Dreams has issued the following band update regarding their new lineup:

Swiss death metallers Omophagia have issued the following announcement about canceling their upcoming October 10th tour date:
"I have the unpleasant duty to tell you that we had to cancel our gig at the metal 4 metal at the 10th of October. It's the first time that we have to do this and I'm really sorry that I couldn't tell it to you earlier. It is due to my annual military service which I couldn't change for this weekend. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience and hope to see you soon at our next gig."
Omophagia has also announced that they have begun working on a new album which is schedule to be finished in early 2010.

New Jersey pirate thrashers Swashbuckle will replace Success Will Write Apocalypse Across The Sky on several dates of Vader’s headlining tour this November/December. Guitarist/scallywag Commodore Redrum offered the following nautical non-sense:
"Aye, since I'm (unfortunately) the least hammered right now out of us pirates three, suppose its my duty, nay, pleasure to fill yar salty ears with great news! After we finish pillaging the European Paganfest, SWASHBUCKLE shall return to North America in support of the mighty VADER. We're stoked and you should be too. Splash will meet thrash and partying will commence!”

Polish death metallers Throneum have completed the recording of their new album "Deathcult Conspiracy," which is set to be released on October 12th through Pagan Records. A sample track from the album titled "Bloody Sacrifice for the Morning Star" can be heard at the band's MySpace page.
German metallers Destruction have issued the following statement about the Ankara Festival being canceled by the promoter:
"This is a sad story. The second festival in Turkey got canceled by the promoter. First Instanbul & now the ROCKTIVAL in Ankara. The band is really dissapointed, hopefully 2010 will be a better year for Turkish Thrash Maniacs.
"Here is the mail from the promoter: 'Hello, I’m Arman Tekin from rocktival. Festival was cancelled because of financial and other secret problems. We sent necessary informations about this issue to your manager but he looks mail late because of he is busy. We wanted to indict this situation and we can arrange turkey tour in our and your free times in 2010 for making up cancellation of festival. However you want. Thank you for everything See you later'"

The new Barren Earth minisite is now online, including band and release information and audio samples from their debut EP, "Our Twilight," which is due out November 9th (11th Finland, 17th US).
With former members of Amorphis, plus current members of Swallow the Sun, Moonsorrow, and Kreator, Finland’s Barren Earth presents this 4-track EP of progressive and folk textured death metal.

It can also be announced that the band will play their very first gig, in support of the release, at Dantes Highlight in Helsinki on Thursday 19th November 2009.
Look out for the full-length debut album, coming early 2010, containing the extended version of "Our Twilight."

Rare footage of Napalm Death performing on the BBC show, "What's That Noise?" in 1989 has been uncovered and posted online at YouTube. You can check out the clip below. The show was presented by Craig Charles, (perhaps best known as Lister from the hit sci-fi comedy series, "Red Dwarf") and also featured Sir Cliff Richard and Patrick Moore, who is the presenter of one of the BBC's longest running shows, "The Sky At Night." Atlanta psychedelic metallers Zoroaster have signed a worldwide recording deal with E1 Music. The trio will enter the studio in early 2010 with producer Sanford Parker (The Gates of Slumber, Pelican) to record its label debut and follow up to 2009’s "Voice of Saturn." A summer 2010 release is expected.
“The first time I saw Zoroaster live, I was blown away and knew we had to add them to the growing E1 roster,” comments E1 Music VP of Metal Scott Givens. “They push the limits of the metal genre with their music and are unlike any other act out there now. We are honored to be their partners.”

"We were sitting down to figure out a setlist for this run just like we do before every tour, and we decided we'd try something new. We're going to let YOU pick which songs you want to hear us play.
