"The mixing and mastering duties were handled by Ola Englund (Six Feet Under, Feared), and he really did a great job making this a really heavy sounding album! We’re really happy with the end result and we’re sure your neck will say the same!
"We’ll soon reveal the tracklisting, first audio samples and the really cool cover art made by Gustav Germann (GugerArt)! Stay tuned!“

There are still some i's being dotted and t's crossed, so we can't give you a name or fancy logo just yet, but we're pretty excited that for the first time we get to hold all the reins on a release from start to finish. Since we now get to call all the shots, the double DVD and single disc Blu-ray will be available for a price we thought was very Metallica fan friendly - suggested retail will be $15.98 for either format."

A few months after the release of debut EP "Seas," Belgian alternative math-metal band Now, Voyager is going to release a digital single for the track "The Surface," including previously unreleased B-side material. Idillicah has posted the band's entire discography online as pay-what-you-want downloads, which can be found via bandcamp. You can also stream the "Rebirth of the Future" and "Acoustic Sessions At Black Door Studios" releases in the players available below. The band comments:
"We've reached a very important milestone in our career: with 5 years under our belt, we've decided to make our complete discography available to ALL our fans. For the first time, you can get our complete discography (over 20 songs), paying what you want for it! The discography consists of:
"1. 'Two coins for the Ferryman' (Single) (2007): A single comprised of only one song, Two Coins for the Ferryman was recorded in collaboration with Paraguayan vocalist Dayana Urunaga, and Canadian guitarist Even Brennan. Using Greek mythology as inspiration, this power ballad would be the end of an era for Idillicah, but it would show something that would characterize the band to this day: collaboration with other artists.
"2. 'Shining Light' (EP) (2008): The first physical release from the band, and the first symphonic metal material to feature female soprano vocals from Paraguay, this 4-song EP opened many doors, both in Paraguay and the world, and would be the first mix of opera vocals and metal instrumentation that would later become an Idillicah hallmark.
"3. 'Rebirth of the Future' (LP) (2010): Our debut full-length album, Rebirth of the Future would be the result of over 2 years of dedicated hard work in collaboration with over 10 artists from around the world. First released by the Argentinian label Hellbound Records in 2010, and later re-released in Europe by Scottish label Azreal Records in 2011, this edition features all 10 songs from the original release, plus all 3 bonus songs from both releases, making it a total of 13 songs!
"4. 'Acoustic sessions at Black Door Studios' (EP) (2012): This EP, recorded live in various sessions in 2011, represents a completely different direction for Idillicah, who, looking for more intimacy with their fans, presented 4 songs recorded only with vocals and acoustic guitar. 3 covers and an acoustic version of the original favorite 'Gone' deliver this minimalist facet of the band.
"All of this is available NOW for download, in the format of your choice, on our BandCamp website. And you name the price! The funds procured from this release will be used to finance pre-production for the next full-length release, which will be launched in 2013!" More...
Seattle hardcore thrash punks The Insurgence will be heading out on a mini-tour in November in support of new full-length album "Elimi-Nation," out now on Innerstrength records. The tour starts November 3rd and has stops in Washington, Mexico, Arizona, and California.
Hardcore punk act and Digital Warfare Records artist Slow Children from Riverside, CA will be supporting the shows. You can also check out a new video for "We Can't Be Stopped" below. Here's what the band has to say about the song and upcoming tour:
"The American Oligarchy: A system in which power resides only within a small ultra-wealthy political class. As the wealth of a nation becomes increasingly concentrated in the hands of a few, laws are re-written allowing that wealth to be converted into political influence. Record amounts of money flowing into the political system drown out the voices of all but a few. The rules are being re-written, and they are not in your favor. Eighty percent of the country is left to fight over less than half of the wealth. Is the oligarchy really working that much harder than you? They may have their shackles around our politicians, but the only thing that shackles the rest of us is complacency. We have been forgotten, thrown away and they are betting you will do nothing. We have the numbers. Together, we can't be stopped! Do not miss this tour!" More...
Progressive metal act hAND has announced a collaboration with international demoscene group to produce the band’s first music video. The piece will accompany hAND’s chiptune-inspired track “Level 1,” which is taken from the band's upcoming third album. hAND comments:
"The video will be available in downloadable executable and prerendered forms. The design, production and development process is expected to take many months, with the initial stages already underway.
"The demoscene is a computer art subculture that specializes in producing 'demos,' which are audio-visual presentations that are generated and run in real-time on a computer. The main goal of a demo is to show off coding, artistic, and musical skills by producing something unique, exciting and visually stunning.
"The demoscene first appeared during the 8-bit era on computers such as the Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Atari 800 and Amstrad CPC, and came to prominence during the rise of the 16/32-bit home computers (mainly the Amiga or Atari ST). The demo scene is widespread, with around 50 ‘demoparty’ events - which host competitions, collaborations and meetups - held every year."
hAND is a 4 piece female fronted progressive rock / metal band from Sussex. The band's second album 'Breathing” was released in 2011 via Femme Metal Records and Brutal Elite Records, and more info on hAnd is available right here.

The downer foursome of Bison B.C. are out now with newest album "Lovelessnes," which guitarist James Farwell describes as "not love songs, songs about love, it’s important we make that clear. Love is violent, and can kill you or keep you alive."
While enjoying some down time before taking the devastating love (and lack thereof) on the road next year, James took out some time to explain what's been happening in the group lately, dealing with turning 40 in the metal touring lifestyle, and how new Bison B.C. tracks come together ("It starts with a drunken riff, then a drunken song"). Below you can also find his thoughts on negative press and what's happening in Vancouver's metal scene. More...

Today, Hells Headbangers reissues Deceased's classic "Supernatural Addiction" on CD, with an LP version coming January 23rd. Buckcherry is proud to announce that the band's next studio album, "Confessions," will be the first domestic release with new label Century Media Records. The album is planned for an early 2013 release on Century Media in the United States and via Eleven Seven Music worldwide, with new tracks to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
"The time has come to finally announce the release of our sixth LP, Confessions," says Buckcherry frontman Josh Todd. "This is our coolest album yet and I think a lot of people will relate, if you love BC you are going to get a chance to be part of a great story - join the revolution and let's rock!"
"This is, by far, our most ambitious record," says guitarist Keith Nelson, who co-founded Buckcherry with Todd in 1995 after the duo met in a Los Angeles tattoo shop. "We are very proud of the work we've done and we are looking forward to presenting it to our fans."
"Confessions" is an album based on the seven deadly sins, and is part of a larger vision that includes a film written by Josh Todd, who based the album's lyrics on his childhood and transformation into adulthood.
Buckcherry remains on the road throughout 2012, appearing in Japan later this month and returning to the United Kingdom Nov. 20 - Dec. 10.

Italian act The Moor sees a full-length debut titled “Year Of The Hunger” this coming November 16th, 2012 via Lion Music. The artwork for the release can now be viewed below, and a sampler containing music from the album is available over here.
The 12 track "Year of the Hunger" is the follow-up to a five song self-titled EP, and vocalist/guitarist Enrico Longhin comments, "Year Of The Hunger is our first album, but we have been playing and releasing stuff with our old bands since 2000, that’s why there’s a maturity and complexity that is hard to find in other debut-releases."
On the band’s vision for the album Longhin adds, "The main goal was to keep the sound as natural as possible and to avoid anything that sounds fake or 'plastic,' we want to keep an emotional approach to the songs and let the listeners understand how we really play."
According to a press release, "Year Of The Hunger" is not a concept album lyrically, but there are two themes running through the words representing either a negative outlook (the noble truth of suffering), or a positive outlook (the path of liberation). This contrast gives light and shade to the lyrics helping aid the more personalised sound. More...
Conquest of Steel has checked in with the following progress report on the recording process for the band's new album:
"So, the recording for the 4th album is nearly done. Today is the last day. By the end of the day all the second guitars will have been recorded, this is of course on top of all the drums, bass and vocals that have been laid down over the last 10 days.
"And guess what? It's sounding killer! Great sound, real energy and of course some great hard rockin', head banging tracks. Can't wait for everyone to hear this one.
"Mixing is gonna happen in December, which will give us some time to listen to the raw recordings and decide how we want the mix to take shape.
"The album will then be released in early 2013. Followed by a ton of gigging. Keep your eyes peeled for more updates as they come."

The prelimary invasion of the soft, weak races of Earth began with "WarChiefs of the Apocalypse" (reviewed here), and the orcs took a brief side trek to metal-up the fantasy miniature world, but now it's officially time to add even more heads to the pile!
The debut full-length album from A Band of Orcs, "Adding Heads to the Pile," doesn't see it's official release (and the subsequent enslavement of all mankind) until Halloween through Itchy Metal Entertainment, but now you lucky few get the chance to hear the release in full, and possibly be spared orcish wrath come the Domination.
The album tells a tale of A Band of Orcs' mercenary employment for a human kingdom in the realm of Hirntodia. This craven kingdom of humans hires the Gore-Stained Axe Tribe to "settle their giant troubles" for them with axe and spear, but they get a lot more than they bargained for, once the orcs fulfill the terms of their geas by vanquishing the giants and returning to pay the piper.
Give all 13 tracks of the album a listen in the player below (the songs may take a few seconds to load the songs after hitting "play.") If you dig the death metal you hear and don't want to be eaten by orcs on the 31st, pre-order "Adding Heads to the Pile" right here.

Recently, Kenya celebrated 49 years as a nation independent of colonial rule. In the subsequent times that they have found themselves once again as an autonomous country, several bands have similarly exerted their creative independence. As can be expected, some of those bands are metal - since metal is a worldwide phenomenon. Heavier music has had a rough time in Kenya and in other African nations and cultures due to skepticism and the general belief that it is inherently satanic in nature. In a recent conversation I had with the congenial metal guitarist Christopher Lilako 'Yagami' of In Oath, he says that people are slowly growing accustomed to heavy metal in his country.
Christopher's band has teamed up with members of Kenyan alternative rock bands Void Of Belonging and Nightshift Theory, along with its own members, to help create In Oath's new harder sound. That rock/alternative sound has been more the norm in terms of popularity in Kenya for a while, a sound reflective in the newer metallic sounds emerging from the Eastern African nation. People are more likely to embrace the local favorites RSK, Dove Slimme, Murfy's Flaw or Parking Lot Grass in terms of musical sound, but there is a growing movement of bands prefering a heavier style.
African metal has its own distinctive sound, which scene producer Chris 'Sarcophagus' Marx conveyed with his 1994 compilation "The Death of Africa, Volume I." While that classic anthology contained many bands from the metal powerhouse of South Africa, there were also bands from other parts of the continent. In fact, Marx is putting out a Volume II sequel to that release, which will undoubtedly feature a Kenyan, Botswanan or maybe even an Angolan band. Check out the Facebook page for news on this compilation over at this location. Possibly the one documentary streaming now on Kenyan metal is Rock Scene Kenya, which features many of the musicians we will explore for you today on Metal Underground. Get a glimpse into the Kenyan scene of African metal through its participants as we unearth three bands from Nairobi today.
This combo is one of Kenya's newest entrants. Formed in 2009 and initially influenced by metalcore, these five guys decided to hone their sound into more of a death metal style. Just this year they released their debut EP "Eulogy," four songs of Christian-themed extreme metal. "Eulogy" in its remastered form is available to stream over at bandcamp. In Oath is already recording a full-length album scheduled for 2015 release, which the band says will be its 'defining memento.'
Bassist Steve 'Gitau' Smalls from the band, formerly of Narcissistic Tendencies With Delusions Of Grandeur, made a splash five years ago with his acting debut as the character DJ in the independent film "The Knife Grinder's Tale." That award-winning short film, which received honorable mentions at fourteen foreign film festivals, told the story of a father's journey to uncover the senselessness of his son's murder in the slums of Nairobi.
