"It is very difficult for what I am about to say. The 'Static Impulse' tour has been cancelled due to some unfortunate, unforeseen difficulties with securing work visas for a couple of the guys. It would be virtually impossible for us to have these visas processed on time to begin the tour let alone the rehearsals which were scheduled for the week prior to the first show.
"I don't know what to say other than we are all in shock and can only hope we can make this a reality at some point in the near future.
"I am really sorry to everyone who has gone out and purchased the meet-and-greets and show tickets. This totally sucks and I'm sure you're all quite upset and have every right to be. I can only ask for your understanding and forgiveness and assure you that when we are in a position (hopefully in the near future ) to tour all of this will have been taken care of well in advance or it just won't happen."

Its no secret that heavy metal and Halloween go together like a hockey mask and a machete. While there are numerous songs you can list under the hallowed category, here are ten terrifying tracks to bleed your ears dry.
10. Moonspell - "I'll See You In My Dreams"
Who knew such a soft jazz song from 1924 could be recreated over 80 years later as a wickedly heavy and haunting track from Portugal's biggest metal export. It was recorded for a film of the same title, and the video features clips from the movie along with an amazing array of starving Zombies who seem to have a craving for Portuguese flesh.
Canadian grind metal act Fuck the Facts has revealed the title to its forthcoming studio album. The title of the band's ninth album has been set as "Die Miserable" and will be issued in early 2011 through Relapse Records. Guitarist and founding member Topon Das commented by saying:
"Back in January we put together a little home studio and spent the month tracking a majority of what will be our next full-length album. Everything was shelved while we went on various tours, released our 'Unnamed' 7" EP and then 'Disgorge Mexico: The DVD'. But now having all of that out of the way, we are recording the finishing touches of this new album which we have aptly titled 'Die Miserable' after the feeling I have every time I need to write a quote about a new album. Mixing will be handled by our longtime friend (a.k.a. sucker) Craig Boychuk. He's pretty much had his hands and ears on almost everything we've recorded over the last few years, so we feel confident that he won't totally fuck it up. We're not very good at rushing out our full-lengths, so we're thinking this should see the light of day in the spring of 2011."

"The Gracious Few" was released on September 14, 2010 through Questionable Entertainment. Singer Kevin Martin said of the song:
"It reminds me of my father. He was a World War II veteran. He believed in the American dream with all his heart, he was the honest man of his generation. Now I turn on the television and see Americans without jobs, without food and without a chance to help themselves. This song is a wake up call to the forces of the world who would dare to stand in the way of our ability to provide for ourselves."
Wrapping up one of the most memorable years of the band's career, SLAYER will make available a previously unreleased track, "Atrocity Vendor," as part of a special limited-edition 7-inch single. "In the early hours of this past Sunday morning Amalgama gathered with Brian DeFrees for commencement of shooting on 'Forsaken Soldiers' at Valentines in Albany, NY. There were bagels and donuts to satiate our appetites, and coffee for others to keep them motivated and awake. We toiled for a good portion of the day under the bright lights of the stage, sweating it out a bit while the camera captured the energy on film. During a brief break we managed to shoot a quick update for you just to get a feel for what was going down that day.
"We want to thank Valentines for hosting us for the shoot; it was a great location to film the video at and we were really happy with the space. By the end of the day I think we were all sick of hearing 'Forsaken Soldiers' after playing along with it nearly 30 times. However, the final product will undoubtedly make it all worth the time and effort we put into it. You can see some photos from the shoot on our Facebook page." More...

A good way to close a chapter and start a new one. Mika and Martin will not be on stage during the entire gig, but they will appear on at least one or two songs. Don't miss this for the world!"

3. Sacred Geometry “The meaning of Sacred Geometry refers to the idea that the cosmos although chaotic has a sense of order and defining geometry i.e. crystalline elements. Even the symbol of chaos is Geometric! Shapes and patterns make existence of the real and surreal possible! Many divine structures or spiritual temples have been built on this principle! Even Pythagoras elaborated on this matter. He discovered that stopping half way through the length of an oscillating string produced an octave relative to the string's fundamental, basically a higher version of the same note, while a ratio of 2:3 produces a perfect fifth and 3:4 produces a perfect fourth. Pythagoreans believed that these harmonic ratios gave music powers of healing which could ‘harmonize’ an out-of-balance body.More...

Once Keith presented me with one of haarp's lyrical concepts in regards to Gluttony, it was actually amazing to me how similar their ideas were to my own. This collaborative vision was meant to be, as far as I was concerned. I look forward to creating more art to this slow and painfully twisted epic of doom.”
Italian gothic metallers MACBETH have confirmed that the band is currently in pre-production for its fifth full-length. The band comments, “We know. It has been a while since our last update and that is not without reason. This year has been a pretty busy and tumultuous one for band members. We've been hard at work writing material for the next album since last winter, but unfortunately we have been forced to take a break during this spring and summer as Max needed to recover from a serious shoulder injury exacerbated by playing guitar. Luckily Max’s shoulder is fully healed and he’s working on new stuff right now. Among other things (on September the 4th), Fabrizio and Morena got married after being together almost ten years! Currently in pre-production phase the band is working on vocal lines and lyrics for almost 10 brand new songs. All we can say is that we feel it's some of the best stuff we have ever written. The new studio album is as yet untitled and still without a release date. More details about studios will follow as soon as everything is confirmed. Stay tuned for updates!”

I mean I've been a GWAR fan since I was 12 years old, even now that I know all the guys behind the masks it doesn't matter. Every night when they walk out on stage I don't see them I see the characters and it's like being 12 years old all over again every single night. Besides for a death metal band touring in the states you don't see shows of this size very often let alone EVERY night!!! The Casualties are some seriously cool motherfuckers too and Mobile Deathcamp is already like family to us so, the whole thing has just been hands down the best tour this band has ever done, and we still have 2 months to go!!!"
