A remastered version of the title track from Death's landmark album "Spiritual Healing" is currently being streamed via Gun Shy Assassin. Check out the song at this location.
Originally release in 1990, the album is now being reissued as a double CD housed in super deluxe packaging featuring brand new liner notes from Death players James Murphy and Terry Butler, Chuck’s sister Beth Schuldiner and Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen. Disc 1 features a completely new remaster of the original album and Disc 2 contains 16 previously unreleased rehearsal, outtakes, and studio instrumentals. A remastered version of the track “Living Monstrosity” can also be heard in the player below.
In addition to the 2-Disc edition, limited edition (2000 machine numbered copies) triple CD digipak will be available exclusively from the Relapse webstore. The third CD features a never before released live set recorded in 1990 featuring the "Spiritual Healing" Death line up. An iTunes deluxe edition will also be released containing 5 additional previously unreleased pre-Human rehearsal tracks not available on either of the CD versions. The entire tracklisting is available below.
"Spiritual Healing" is set for a November 20th North American release date, November 16th in the Benelux / Germany / Finland, and November 19th in the UK and worldwide. More...
Bay area thrash legends Testament have announced several European tour dates planned for this November/December. The appearances include re-booked shows that had to be rescheduled due to drummer Gene Hoglan’s commitments with his other band Dethklok.
“The Lamb of God and Dethklok U.S. tour had to be canceled and Dethklok re-booked some shows. This has caused some conflicts with a few previously scheduled Testament dates since Gene couldn’t participate in them,” said the band. “Mark Hernandez (ex-Forbidden) will be helping us out but he wasn’t available until November the 25th. So various shows will be staying the same but others may be moved to 2013.”
All refunds for cancelled shows are available at point of purchase. Confirmed appearances as of now are as follows:
11/27 Garage – Glasgow, Scotland
11/28 Wulfrun Hall – Wolverhampton, UK
11/29 Ritz – Manchester, UK
11/30 Koko – London, UK
12/1 Hard Rock Hell Festival – Prestatyn, Wales
12/3 Dynamo – Eindhoven, Netherlands (original tickets purchased remain valid)
12/5 KKZ – Moscow, Russia
12/6 Za Ozhidaniya – St. Petersburg, Russia
RandomWalk keyboardist Dorian has issued the following statement about deciding to part ways with the band:
"I regret to announce that I have decided to part ways with RandomWalk. Unfortunately, recent changes in my personal life do not allow me to be an active and fully dedicated band member, as I have been the last 8 years.
"It has been a wonderful journey for me with 2 full-length albums, dozens of live shows, 3 video clip shootings, many strong feelings and definitely countless memories. I would like to deeply thank my RandomWalk brothers for sharing all these moments with me and I wish them all the best for the future."
Rings of Saturn has posted the full "Dingir" album online for streaming, which can be heard in the player below, and the band also commented:
"Here is the official album version of Dingir streamed in high quality. There are many reasons as to why we decided to stream our new album in its entirety before its scheduled release date. One big reason is because we are dealing with legal issues right now which unfortunately WILL push back the release date of Dingir from Nov. 20th to Feb. 5th.
"The second reason is that a very poor quality, unfinished, and unmastered, pre-production version of our album went viral across many metal blog spots, torrent sites, and youtube this morning. It is unclear whether the original poster thought that the pre-production version of the album was the actual album, or if the original poster leaked it maliciously. In any case, If you guys are going to listen to a leaked version of our album, we would much rather you listen and jam out to the ACTUAL high quality finished album, rather than a low quality unfinished product. If you DID happen to upload the pre pro version to your Youtube channel (chances are that you did since our video is the first video of the actual finished album) we ask that you please take it down now that the actual album is up streaming because we don't want to confuse people.
"The third reason is that we know you are all tired of waiting for this, we are also EQUALLY tired of waiting, and we know that our true fans will continue to support the band, pre order our album, buy our merch, and come out to our shows. If you ARE in fact a true fan of Rings of Saturn, or you like what you are hearing, or you want to see us come to your town our city, then you will share this video EVERYWHERE, you will show all of your friends, and you will pre order and actually still buy our album when it does come out on Feb. 5th because a band's first week album sales dictate what tours the band gets on, what slots they get, and where they are able to go.
"If you want to see us play in Europe, or Australia, or come back to Canada, or back to your state, then you will pre order Dingir or pick up your copy within the first week of its release. We are only able to keep doing this because of your guys support. We will keep everyone posted on pre-orders and new merch from this page. Again the new release date for Dingir is Feb. 5th and remember, SHARE THIS VIDEO and Enjoy!" More...
Vanna is currently on tour with IWrestledABearOnce, Oceano, Within The Ruins, The Plot In You, and Surrounded By Monsters. Vanna has now checked in with the following statement about missing tonight's previously scheduled New York show:
"Attention upstate NY fans: We regret to inform you that we will NOT be playing the show tonight at the Upstate Concert Hall in Clifton Park, NY.
"This morning our singer/guitarist Joel had to go to the hospital for some serious illnesses. He is on medication now and sleeping all day, as a concert environment is no place for a sick, contagious person. We intend to join back up with the tour tomorrow in West Springfield, VA @ Empire.
"The rest of the tour package will still be playing the show tonight so please attend and support them as it will be a great show. Sorry for the inconvenience and last minute cancellation but we hope you all understand."
The Psyke Project has issued the following announcement about beginning work on a new album:
"Hey people! We've decided to do another round and are currently working hard on finishing the new songs for the fifth (!!!) album by The Psyke Project.
"We will enter Dead Rat Studio / Jacob Bredahl in early 2013 to begin the actual recordings. As always we'll do the whole studio session live to keep the sound as raw and honest as possible.
"Currently we are working on different setups regarding who - and how - this record will be released. The only thing we can tell you guys for now, is that we expect an album release in early May 2013.
"Our bookers are working hard on an European tour to start in May 2013 and several dates are confirmed already. We have a couple of Summer festivals confirmed as well. We are working on a few exclusive Danish shows also. All tour dates to be announced - so stay tuned.
"Beside all of this we got other cool stuff waiting in pipeline for you guys. We will present this along the way.
"To our Danish fans and friends - please note the date of Dec. 7th 2012. The Psyke Project will celebrate BLACK CHRISTMAS at the Copenhagen based venue BETA. Expect an intense night! More info about this coming your way. Thank you for reading this and thank you for the support."
