Ravage, the heavy metal band from Boston, MA who released their Metal Blade Records debut "The End Of Tomorrow" in August have been forced to cancel the 5 remaining dates of the band's US tour.
Singer Al Ravage offered this explanation, "I don't know if you've been following the travails and tribulations of our tour on our myspace blog, but for those of you who haven't - I'll give the 'short, short' version (if you are a fan of the film 'Spaceballs,' you'll get that allusion). We planned a self-financed, self-planned, 3-month full USA tour a few months ago that we knew would be extremely difficult, and possibly suicidal, but we wanted to do all we could to try to garner some attention for our new album, for traditional heavy metal in general and to finally get a chance to play to all those people across the USA who have asked to see us over the years. In some respects, the tour was a success - we got to meet many cool new people - people who had picked up the album and had heard of us before - we got to visit some cool new places, and we got to meet some cool bands and experience life on the road for the better part of 3 months. In many respects however, the tour was a major failure. We dealt with poorly promoted events, many unsupportive local acts (acts that even didn't stay to see us play or dropped off the bill entirely with little notice), poor fan turnouts, shows canceled by the club at the last minute, and the worst part - numerous van breakdowns and incompetent repair jobs - which forced us to cancel far too many shows." VVEREVVOLF GREHV (pronounced as Werewolf Grave) is a one man army of sound distortion and musical exploration. Dapose explains how VVEREVVOLF GREHV came together: “VVEREVVOLF GREHV started because of the bullying of our digital world pushing our minds to be tuned to more kinds of sounds and situations. People are forced to deal with so many fast paced changes, and I think my music is a reflection of the distortions that occur when trying to live and communicate in this environment. And I wanted to hear synthesizers and filters and electronic music beat up on metal music.”

Samples of Gravespawn's music can be found at this location. The band has also issued the following statement regarding their thoughts on music:
"Fuck you!!! Gravespawn will NEVER:
"1) Live in the shadow of the European black metal scene. We are USBM and proud. We are not Cold Nordic Moonfrost from the frostless southwest ripping off Darkthrone and Burzum like a bunch of fucking tools because we feel it necessary to pay homage or conform to the standards of a scene far away from our homes. No disrespect to European black metal intended. Nothing but disrespect to the ones who think that we're below them because we're American.
"2) Perform or record cover songs. When our songs begin to suck out of a lack of creativity, then perhaps we'll feel the need to play cover songs.
"3) Pay to play or sell tickets. Last I checked, we're not hookers working the streets of Sunset Blvd. See also #1.
"4) Be too 'trve or kvlt' to write decent shit and record it with decent production. More...

Futures End has issued the following statement about creating guitar instructional videos to release via YouTube in November:
"We have received dozens of emails from guitarists the world over that are interested in learning to play the riffs and solos from the songs on Futures End's debut album, Memoirs of a Broken Man (Nightmare Records). Marc Pattison and Christian Wentz will gladly answer the call in the form of several videos designed to explore the techniques used to create the Futures End guitar sound. Shooting will begin the last week in October 2009 and the first video will be released via the band's YouTube channel sometime in November.
"We are going to break down a couple of songs and the solos in each video and release one a month for the next three months. Some of the stuff in our songs is pretty tough to play by ear and we are really happy to offer the videos as a way for other guitarists to really see what we are doing and make it easier for them to get it figured out. It should be fun!"
